Losing a child, no matter what age, has got to be worse than death to a parent. We parents are NOT supposed to bury our children. And losing your precious child to MURDER is all the more gut-wrenching😢.

Yeah, I felt so bad for him hearing him cry. And thinking that it was his fault for telling Mike to go into the Air Force. He couldn’t have known what would have happened. It’s not his fault, but guilt can be so powerful.

I think it's better to have a plea bargain than the case go to trial and the jury find her not guilty because the prosecutor was unable to prove intent or that she was the one who committed the murder. We know she will spend years behind bars. That's better than an acquittal.

OMG. I live in Houston and when this was an amber alert, I had a pit of my stomach. I have googled on and off since then and nothing. It's so weird how the mom was like "I just left her alone for a few minutes and came back" or something similar to that. Who leaves their toddler alone at a public park for any amount of time?!

I was young when he passed. But him and my dad were great friends who worked together in the Air Force. I grew up calling him my uncle. Thank you soo much for covering his case. I hope she gets denied parole in a few years. It truly makes me sad his son didn’t get sent to live with his family.

@@megan0591 it depends on the placenta, I had posterior placenta so I felt my baby kick at about 15 weeks 😊 it was a lot less painful than when I was further along tho 😂

I almost stopped watching when Mike's dad blamed himself for his son's death. The anguish in his voice! 😥😢Clearly, he adored his son. As for Wendi...my God what a psycho! Ugh, as someone who worked as a veterinary pharmacy tech for years… those drugs are so controlled and have to be logged in & out every single time! They are usually in a locked cabinet as well. Our logs for those meds were checked weekly and remaining pills in the bottle were counted. We would know if even 1 pill or 1cc was missing! Its so obvious she did this to him😠
At one clinic where I worked, certain drugs could only be removed from the safe by the veterinarian. And all the other logging, etc., you described applied. I remember there was a scam where someone would call pretending to work at another hospital and ask to borrow ketamine, so all the rules around that got even tighter. No way she wasn't going to get caught.
vets and our manager are the only ones with keys to the controlled drug drawer at my clinic. still, how tf did another employee not notice that the controlled drugs log was off?
@@meganm4304 in a small town like San Angelo... she was probably the only vet at her clinic. And while she obviously had technicians and maybe other staff she easily could have done all the inventory work herself. I grew up in that area and one of the vet clinics we went to was literally a one woman show. It was a vet clinic attached to her home and she took emergency, after hours, weekend, etc. calls. But this vet had no technicians, front desk staff, etc. It seemed super sketch to me even as a kid, and the clinic reaked of cigarettes.
Basically, it is possible that she had minimal staff and did all the logging herself.
My mother is a veterinarian in a rural area. Her situation is different because she currently runs her own business and is the only one who keeps tabs on her drugs and whats coming and going. It would be incredibly easy for those drugs to be misused. She also used to work at clinic owned by another vet. A lot of their work was large animal and she made a lot of emergency calls to people’s farms. She has always had a vet box with anything you can imagine in it. It would be a lot easier than you think to sneak something away. Especially if you are a vet with a license to not only carry/possess those drugs but buy them as well.
In the video, she said that when they looked at the log books at her clinic, there was more of one of the drugs noted as being dispensed to a chihuahua with seizures than should have been for a dog that size. So either she alone was managing her books, or whoever else at the clinic does that saw that the number of pills remaining matched the number dispensed without seeing that one of the prescriptions shouldn't have been for as many pills as it was.
The distancing language of calling it "the body" and not "my husband's body" or "Mike's body" tells you all you need to know about Wendi.

It's so alarming that this woman was a Veterinarian. All these clients taking their pets to her for care and she's a complete sociopath. Prayers for Mike's Father, he seems absolutely devastated and will probably never recover from this trauma.

When his father said if he would’ve been happy with his son being a trucker he could be walking through the door I sobbed! Absolutely sobbed. I will never understand why people kill their spouse. It’s so much easier to get a divorce. Now their kids don’t have either parent. It’s such a selfish thing to do. She is one of the few offenders who should be in prison until the day they die. You can tell she has absolutely no remorse for what she did. Stories like this remind me of the Watts family. It’s so disgusting that some people think murder is a justifiable alternative to a divorce.

The way she addresses him is the body. My husband passed away on 9.19.21 in our home and when I found him the first thing I did was start cpr and I ran and grabbed my phone to call 911. When I found him he was in the bathroom he was 180 pounds and when I tried to move him I barely was able to move him and start performing cpr. I am sorry I don't believe her at all. It has been just about a year and I would never never speak about my husband in the matter she does. Or laugh and say "body". It kills me everyday having him not here. She deserves life.

The thing about psychopaths is that they can put on charm when they want to. So when dealing with pet owners she might have come off just fine.

I'm so frustrated with our judicial system in Texas! That horrible monster should have been given the max 99 years! She shouldn't be allowed to breathe when she took someone else's life. It's simple, she had access to these pills and to say she stabbed him that many times to keep down in the water is a clear indication that she killed him. My heart goes out to Mike's family. I really do hope she doesn't get out and that justice is served even if it costs her life in prison.

From what I’ve seen, it seems the Davidson’s gained custody of their son Shane but was granted time to visit with Mikes family. Doesn’t seem like there’s much info on the second child.

I didn’t know Mike but my dad worked with and knew him closely. I was very young when all of this happened so I wasn’t aware of it…. When you said he worked at Dyess in the early 2000s it was very chilling. I called my dad up and, sure enough, they were buddies. I’ve never experienced anything like this happening even somewhat close to me…. Definitely is going to make me an even more active true crime listener moving forward. So sad for his family and friends

I’m only 5 minutes in and seeing his dad and the pain all over his face and eyes and in his voice is absolutely heartbreaking.
I lived in and still live in San Angelo, Texas. This case was a HUGE deal and is still talked about to this day. My aunt actually went to this psychotic woman and trusted her to take care her pets. It's still shocking to think that this happened in my hometown. Poor guy did not deserve this and I constantly think about his child who is only a few years younger than me.

How people can just murder someone they supposedly loved and move their dead body is beyond me. I’ve been on an abusive relationship and i didn’t even fathom getting rid of him. It’s just not normal. I don’t know why people really think they can get away with it.

Wow. It really scares me Wendy could be walking among us soon. She showed no remorse or empathy or any proper emotion at all....she is a very scary individual. My heart broke for his Dad when he said he should have let him drive a truck...heart wrenching.
How on earth did Wendi get a protective order against her missing husband?? It was hard enough for me to get one After my ex husband broke into my home, beat the living shit out of me in front of my entire neighborhood, in broad daylight, and tried abducting my pet bunnies. I literally was walking around with black eyes. The only reason I ended top getting one is my case happened to come across the desk of a very good domestic violence detective that actually realized my life was (and still is) in danger.
Something isn't adding up with that story, imo. I mean it was like pulling teeth for me, and I had a severe concussion, a missing tooth and black eyes. I'd love to know the name of the judge/magistrate that granted that restraining order on Wendi's behalf. Seems very off.

This is such a sad case, especially seeing his Dad feel so much guilt that he should not be carrying. I hope one day he can make peace with himself. Man Wendi turned out to be incredibly disturbing...Mike deserved so much better. Respect to Wendi's brother for actually telling the police, law enforcement or not sometimes people will still be the most loyal to family..

Wendi's behavior during the interview gave me chills, I cant believe her lack of remorse. Im 100% convinced she did it, and it angers me that she only got 25 years

really sad that I was shocked that her brother was in law enforcement and actually did the right idea thing rather than using his position to tamper with the case in her favor. That couldn’t have been easy and I wish more in law enforcement would take their responsibilities as seriously as he does. It’s also really disturbing how she refers to her husband as “the body”-she doesn’t even have enough respect to say “his body.”

I'm from San Angelo and remember when this happened. Everyone knew she was lying about the manner of his death and believed a family member was involved in helping her move his body. My heart goes out to Mike's family and their sons. Congratulations to you and Josh on your precious baby girl! Praying you have a safe delivery!! My heart goes out to the Severance family and the boys, to have your son killed and then to lose full custody to the maternal family and granted visits to Wendi must have hit them so hard 😔
I really hope Mike’s son is being raised by his parents. If the other grandmother has him, she will resent him for being Mike’s son and the kid deserves to be lived and raised right. Also Mike’s family deserve having a part of him in their lives.

His poor dad broke my heart 💔 when we loose someone we always think about what we could have done better/differently and it’s just so sad because they’re is not going back. I pray Mike Rest In Peace and his family can go on despite the pain 😔
When my grandma got her first license the state screwed up and gave her a class 1 driver license to drive semi trucks. She could not drive them. Every time I hear about semi trucks or see one I picture her driving one.
