Text:
It’s been a long dark night, and I’ve been waiting for the morning.
It’s been a long hard fight, but I see a brand-new day a-dawning.
I’ve been looking for the sunshine ‘cause I ain’t seen it in so long.
Ev’r thing’s gonna work out fine. Ev’rything’s gonna be alright,
it’s gonna be okay.
I can see the light of a clear blue morning.
I can see the light of a brand-new day.
I can see the light of a clear blue morning.
Ev’rything’s gonna be alright, it’s gonna be okay.
That soprano though! OUT- of- this- WORLD. The purity and strength of voice, chillingly beautiful! BEAUTIFUL!
The bass section created such a strong foundation; they all blend so well--amazing! Wonderful diction, and I love the soprano's clear voice.
Absolutely incredible. This is exactly what I was looking for when I was reminiscing of my choir days. Never stop singing🥰
Her voice is like a beautiful bell. Too bad they are covering their beautiful faces. I love this song.
The guy in the middle is rocking it.
I'm also pretty sure he's trying to do a summoning of Cthulhu.
Very well done! Way to go Coker Singers!
Love this video. Been listening to the podcast Dolly Parton’s America and wanted to hear this song again. The Covid setting reminds of how these lyrics and this song are testaments of hope in dark times. The arrangement is very cool too.
STELLAR! Thank you for such clean and controlled singing! Perfectly styled and executed.
Wow! Such talent! The singing, the direction; spot on!
OMG so beautiful and it's like you made a whole new song. Dolly has said many times how much she loves when her music is given a new arrangement, it gives her such joy knowing that her music is so versatile and her lyrics fit so many styles.
Breathtaking! Such beautiful work by all!
the soloist had no business going that hard
Great Job Coker- Way to represent SC- USC grad now up in DC with the Air Force band- had a gig with this song on it the past weekend, liked it, youtube searched and found yall :) Go cocks
Glory, glory
Great version, Great singers!
this was great!
This is stunning!
🙏♥️🎶🙏
And to think they sound this good singing with masks on!
No masks please. ☹️ So we can hear you better.
Singing during covid is dangerous. They're just taking extra precautions. They still sound beautiful
Why thus singer has a mask on s quite pathetic,. That’s where we are at . Very bad and Rey unfortunate. She probably did a rea t job singing this. I ill not listen to it.
Wow, you're ignorant. Lynn, judging by your spelling and name I can infer that you are an older person, meaning you are much more at risk for serious complications from COVID. Most singers, myself included, have had to wear masks during performances for the last couple of years, this is nothing new at this point. Frankly, you discrediting this beautiful performance just because they are wearing masks is ignorant and small minded.
