    • @Tridentus
      @Tridentus Pƙed 4 lety +3

      @@hsnafk This can only be described as "refreshing" when you haven't heard him comment on dozens of fights over the years and get them wrong the amount that he does.
      I found him refreshing too at first years ago, but judging a pattern across time there's something about his fundamental view of boxing that's off because he always goes into detail and the details end up not only being wrong but being irrelevant.

      Haye offered up his view based on what was already known and are people suddenly saying now that Wilder has no punching power?
      I'm not aware that Haye has ever sparred with Fury but he has with Wilder and said he felt his power, so what's wrong about saying that? He also said pre-fight number two that if Wilder caught Fury full on again like he did in the first fight then he was suggesting that would be dangerous, so again was he wrong about that?

      People keep claiming fury improved. But to me he seems the same. In the first fight, anytime he was more aggressive, he easily was outboxing and backing up wilder.
      This fight he did it a whole fight. Perfect.
      I told people he needs to be more floyd v canelo, opposed to lara v canelo. Fury is the best heavyweight. It's a discernable gap. Wilder/joshua is pretty even. But fury against either is like 70/30 split now.

    • @JendrixHimi
      @JendrixHimi Pƙed 4 lety +4

      No improvement was needed, the 45 lb heavier guy just needed to assert on the lighter man, he should have done it the 1st time , he had almost a big bag of potatoes advantage ..you run or maul at someone with that much extra weight and using skill , a good biggun will always beat a good littlun ..he actually boxed better in the first fight but gave wilder too much respect

    • @Jiron127
      @Jiron127 Pƙed 4 lety +2

      @@JendrixHimi agreed. But i will say this. Credit to wilder for boxing a bit better this time around. I just feel that anytime a guy fury size is bearing down on you, it'll intimidate anyone.
      Around the first ortiz fight with wilder. I always said it'll take a bigger guy to beat him. Someone that can use there skill advantage effectively. Also absorb his punch. Smaller guys than wilder can't do it . At this time, fury was gone. Now he back, he's easily the best heavy in the division.

      @dfpguitar Pƙed 4 lety +4

      @@hyperfocus4866 there is a sad element to boxing culture in the USA. TV hosts kept asking about a "racial element" and why there wasn't enough of it in the marketing for this fight after Fury shut that host down.
      It seems that boxing in general is less popular in the USA than UK and that to sell it you need to push some stupid racial nonsense.
      Even watching videos from Mayweather gym over the years, it really seems that most of the boxers and coaches (who mostly black or Mexican) only appreciate their own kind.
      How many black guys have you seen training at Garcia gym? how many Mexicans, Filipinos or white guys you seen at TMT?
      years ago when Bernard Hopkins fought Joe Calzage, he promoted it relentlessly as a racial thing. That he cannot lose to a "white guy".
      So over the years the market/audience for boxing in the USA has been built up around black athletes because they were the majority of the good fighters. And that industry wasn't ready for a star that was not only white, but very unathletic looking too.
      Americans found AJ way easier to follow.
      Maybe Fury will draw the American white masses back into an interest in boxing for the the first time since 1950s. For all the wrong reasons.
      Come to think of it, this is probably why Conor McGregor went so hard in insulting Khabib in their build up. To capture an American white audience, which very much worked.

    Sounds like David Haye is finally a believer. I always sense that he feels he owes Fury something due to those pullouts from their highly anticipated clashes. I know that wound up the Fury’s big time and I feel like Haye kind of agrees with them because he knows training camps are pretty expensive to setup. I don’t think he had much admiration for Fury after the klitschko fight because it was a bit of a pitty pat jab and grab type borefest but in this one against Wilder, Fury dominated him totally and looked pretty damn formidable. AJ should watch out.
