What a refreshingly honest interview. Well done David Haye for coming across so well and conceding that John Fury was right. Impressed.
David Haye always speaks his mind and does tend to admit when he's wrong that's an admirable trait
@@hsnafk This can only be described as "refreshing" when you haven't heard him comment on dozens of fights over the years and get them wrong the amount that he does.
I found him refreshing too at first years ago, but judging a pattern across time there's something about his fundamental view of boxing that's off because he always goes into detail and the details end up not only being wrong but being irrelevant.
Agreed, he makes his opinions based on his knowledge of being a former top heavyweight boxer, hes not a sports psychology analyst or a pundit hes a vet. Hes not the only guy who was in Wilders corner for this and he doesnt have to do interviews like this - fair play to him, top bloke.
Most of boxing agreed that furys tactics were crazy he proved a lot of people wrong .
Haye offered up his view based on what was already known and are people suddenly saying now that Wilder has no punching power?
I'm not aware that Haye has ever sparred with Fury but he has with Wilder and said he felt his power, so what's wrong about saying that? He also said pre-fight number two that if Wilder caught Fury full on again like he did in the first fight then he was suggesting that would be dangerous, so again was he wrong about that?
Retired Haye considerably more likeable than active Haye âđŒ
The Boxing Mouth they are boxers they donât care if you like them m8
OSG BSG âđŒ
Since he come off the steroids hes chilled out loads. I like haye now as well.
this comment is as one sided as a gang rape
It's cos he retired and doesn't have to protect his image anymore
I've never heard Haye as humble.....it suits him!
Agreed, I like him now. You can see that he respects Fury. Which is the least that Fury deserves from anyone.
Don't be fooled you idiot it's strictly business. Haye was always a better talker than he was a fighter and nothing's changed
@@kurtottoludwigvon-fischbei4414 Better talker then he was a better fighter? Haye was considered number 1 for a long time, won multiple belts and knocked out alot of people. Back in the day people considered David Haye as the real deal, because he was the real deal! Then again I donât expect a casual like you to know this! David Haye was the best ever when he was in his prime!
Finally an interview thats longer than the Intro and outro
Made me jump so many times on tv, that intro this weekend

Hahahaha. Spot on.
Just a shame it's this bell end Haye đ
I actually like Haye a lot more after this interview. You can tell he is being truly genuine here and he was willing to admit he was wrong.
RamblinAround I never understood the hate he gets. All interviews leading up to this fight that Iâve seen with him, heâs looked genuine to me, having a wrong prediction or not. Weâre all allowed to make predictions and have opinions.
I agree. But I think he has mellowed with age. He used to have the capacity to be extremely irritating but my wife says the same thing about me (to this day đ€Ł).
He's always genuine. Just not always right
RobTi he gets hate coz of the past bro. He was a pull out merchant or injury prone and he never really spoke good about Tyson because the were going to fight but haye pulled out twice through injury so there has been a little tension between them for years but Haye is retired now and I do like him as a analyst
Because he has no choice but to admit he was wrong, heâs a narcissistic big headed idiot
I appreciate David Haye's willingness to admit failure. I have a much higher opinion of him! A boxing master class is an accurate way to describe it.
Two losses to Bellew brought him back down to earth. In his prime he was a great fighter though.
@@jt5765 he should have won the first easily
@@jt5765 Indeed--he had some very good years. He had the misfortune of being in the weight class of a small heavyweight but too heavy for a cruiser.
I can feel David's hype when he says "all the belts". You can tell Haye's love for boxing is as strong as it ever was, the man is as hyped as we all are
David Haye once again got it oh so wrong. The man is a twat.
Lol he hates fury cause hes scared of him. You always hate what you fear
Vivek Rao different weight tho. In his class haye was great, but heavyweight was to much for him, props for trying when he did. Obviously fury would have took him out.

Felix Dale yeah I get that, but itâs just good to see, we canât say that for sure though unless someone knows him on a personal level, he might have actually been a bit of a idiot and got humbled by his defeats.
He kept the division alive during the Klitschko desert days. The only one. Chisora fight comes to mind especially
Marine World the ego comes from the adrenaline of fighting and winning and being a known tough guy. Now heâs still an ex fighter but heâs much more mellow.
I never understood the hate towards him all boxer's have egos confidence is a massive part of boxing he was a fantastic cruiserweight cleared up and dared to be great by moving up weight if bellew Vs haye was in Hayes prime he wouldn't have lasted 4 rnds with him.
@@marineworld6335 what the fuck you on about here? He has no choice but to be humble here, because he got his prediction completely wrong. Nothing to do with defeats, he's just made himself look a fucking fool to millions of people. What else can he do?

No improvement was needed, the 45 lb heavier guy just needed to assert on the lighter man, he should have done it the 1st time , he had almost a big bag of potatoes advantage ..you run or maul at someone with that much extra weight and using skill , a good biggun will always beat a good littlun ..he actually boxed better in the first fight but gave wilder too much respect
@@JendrixHimi agreed. But i will say this. Credit to wilder for boxing a bit better this time around. I just feel that anytime a guy fury size is bearing down on you, it'll intimidate anyone.
Around the first ortiz fight with wilder. I always said it'll take a bigger guy to beat him. Someone that can use there skill advantage effectively. Also absorb his punch. Smaller guys than wilder can't do it . At this time, fury was gone. Now he back, he's easily the best heavy in the division.
Amazing words by David considering he was one of the only people that didnât think Fury could do it. It takes a lot to say what he did!
After this I am a David Haye fan. Great conversation and great mind.
đ€Łđ€Ł Ive been waiting for this lol. Tyson Fury is a LEGEND.... He is a freak of nature and a amazing human to have gone through what he has and to become the WORLD CHAMP.
Cant phrase it any better bud ....all hail the king
@@billandlilldostuff8626 Thank you, he deserves alot more praise than he's getting. I really don't think the Americans and press wanted him to win or really took him seriously. How wrong they were.... Even those ex-boxers couldn't see it.
@@hyperfocus4866 there is a sad element to boxing culture in the USA. TV hosts kept asking about a "racial element" and why there wasn't enough of it in the marketing for this fight after Fury shut that host down.
It seems that boxing in general is less popular in the USA than UK and that to sell it you need to push some stupid racial nonsense.
Even watching videos from Mayweather gym over the years, it really seems that most of the boxers and coaches (who mostly black or Mexican) only appreciate their own kind.
How many black guys have you seen training at Garcia gym? how many Mexicans, Filipinos or white guys you seen at TMT?
years ago when Bernard Hopkins fought Joe Calzage, he promoted it relentlessly as a racial thing. That he cannot lose to a "white guy".
So over the years the market/audience for boxing in the USA has been built up around black athletes because they were the majority of the good fighters. And that industry wasn't ready for a star that was not only white, but very unathletic looking too.
Americans found AJ way easier to follow.
Maybe Fury will draw the American white masses back into an interest in boxing for the the first time since 1950s. For all the wrong reasons.
Come to think of it, this is probably why Conor McGregor went so hard in insulting Khabib in their build up. To capture an American white audience, which very much worked.
@@dfpguitar Excellent analysis.
@Trump 2020 1000% I suffer from Anxiety and Depression.... have done for at least 20+ years. Like you i can TOTALLY get where he's come from. I could say "i wish i had his spirit" but you know what.... if he can do it then why can't i or others. I hope you've got the better of it too.
Big john fury approves of this interview đ
Flipperdipper -UK bet he wishes he was 100 grand richer
Proved he's more of a man than I thought he was respect.
Appreciate your analysis & honesty. Love the humility. I was probably 60-70% convinced Fury would do what he said. Incredible that Fury was right up front and did what he said. Fury is an amazing person!!!
Sounds like David Haye is finally a believer. I always sense that he feels he owes Fury something due to those pullouts from their highly anticipated clashes. I know that wound up the Furyâs big time and I feel like Haye kind of agrees with them because he knows training camps are pretty expensive to setup. I donât think he had much admiration for Fury after the klitschko fight because it was a bit of a pitty pat jab and grab type borefest but in this one against Wilder, Fury dominated him totally and looked pretty damn formidable. AJ should watch out.
Wind him uo hajaja cost tyson over 200k . Id hate him for awhile to
"I'm eating this humble pie - loving it!" legend
I been keeping an eye out for Hayes response for his prediction. great way to handle it...everyone is entitled to getting it wrong now and again.
Respect for admitting you were wrong.
