I got my front zips of the Ssense sale for $840 USD. Due to Covid Canada post took over 3 month to deliver them, we thought they were lost so they refunded me and the shoes still arrived eventually!

Guidi is my next goal!!!! 😭 but youre right definitely the guidis are languid . I tried a pair in Tokyo before but it’s so comfy+ buttery. It’s lovely on the feet but ones it’s on, it’s different.
I love the roomy toe box of Guidis tho.
With Rick, I just love the stiff horse leather and it’s very appropriate for my careless feet because I know that it will be durable ✨

Guidi backzips, although a really beautiful pair of boots, are a bit faulty. I have two pairs and i've had to replace the zipper a couple times on each pair. I believe its due to the way they are made (single leather one seam in the back).
true they're no work boots and the deforming process really does compromise the integrity, good thing they use horse and xcella zips to balance it out
It's because of the backzip I believe. Your leg just naturally puts too much weight onto it

@@barryooi iirc from what i've read they have a slightly stiffer variant of horsehide they call cordovan, but it doesnt look like pure shell and no matter what leathers they use they're never to the point of being what we'd regard as uncomfortable/hard wearing
fronzip backzip yes, but more structured models like the hikers take some heavy breaking in
my Guidi PL2 is def my most worn boot! u can actually get used ones for around 600-700usd shipped to kl outside of grailed (and fully vibramed). horsie leather definitely hits different. even comparing to my SLP wyatts, the frontzips is far superior in terms of quality and comfort. (albeit calf vs horse but damn)
on that note: wyatts for sale size 41, MY based lol

In terms of durability, do you back zip Guidis are fine to drive in? I noticed that driving in them seem to put a bit of pressure on the front leather and back zippers since your ankle is constantly moving when hitting the pedals.
def don't think the horse leather would leave much to be concerned about but it's really up to the individual and how you think your own personal boots will fit. On mine (the pair in the vid) I sized a full size up so I have a bit of give both front and back. Either way isn't the best thing about these the fact that it's so easy to take on/off anyway?
What is the pant that you wear with the GUIDI? It's so interesting!
CCP selvedge meter pants! The selvedge is at the hem and the waist, rather than at the inseam/outseam. Super cool pair, i should do a video on clothing once i get through my shoes
