Good evening Sean, I know this may sound not real smart but Iâm just curious when you and savanna leave to salt your customers parking lot do you have much ice on the road from your home? Does it get a little tricky in driving? If we get ice where I live basically The town shuts down granted we have no snow removing equipment down here. But every time I see your videos going to get salt and then working at your customers place of business. It looks like I donât have any problems and driving on the roads. Thanks for the video and also stay safe and warm.
Steve
Sean you should get some weather tech made to fit floor mats for the trucks. They have a lip around the edge which keeps debris etc off the floors and easily removable for cleaning
I'm going to order some for my 2005 Scion, just makes everything so much easier... instead of some aftermarket carpet mats that slide around.. I put on some of those window guards, it gets hot here, having leather seats and a window cracked.. is good no need to worry about a little bit of moisture rain blowing in..
Since you have a big zero tolerance accounts, give a look into brine you will use 1/4 of the salt which in turn will save you major cash. You can keep or pass on to your customers. Depending on how many accounts you have it will pay for itself in a season or less
Or treated salt
Not when you make money salting. Use treated.
@@thewhiteknight02 with brine you make a lot more, instant of buying 4 tons of salt you only need 1 ton to do the job better and the results are almost instant. Donât have to wait for the salt to dissolve itâs already dissolved with the brine. Not saying salting with rock salt is bad just saying the cash saved is huge once the unit is paid for. Letâs just say bulk salt is $100 per ton and you use 20 tons during the season thatâs $2000. With the brine mix itâs 5 ton so $500.
Dirtmonkey has a great video on a brine system that partners with Boss.
@@integrafan2770 yeah itâs a great system, I have seen other systems but that one is by far the best out there
You need to get weather tech floor mats
Hey Shawn and TQ I look forward to watching your videos I checked my phone Around 7:00 and just wait for you to Upload the video.
Ya, yesterday we had "snow bust" throughout the day. A snow bust is like a cloud bust but with snow instead of rain. We never got over 29 degrees today so nothing is melting. Tomorrow it's supposed to rain and hit 40 but next week is supposed to get cold again with lows in the single digits. Winter in NE Ohio!
I hope $90 in coffee will last a week!
Been under the weather as I have had surgery and recouping slowly. As always be safe and warm. Praying for you both along with family and friends đđđ
Get well soon
With all those ton's of salt being put on the parking lots etc , when it melts does it harm or kill the grass shrubs or trees around the parking lots , looks like that would make a pretty strong mix of salt water ?
It'll surely eat your car up!
You should get one of those wheeled seed carts and use that to put salt on the sidewalks
I use one I love it but the small ones clog easily
Fertilizer spreaders work better spend the money and get a commercial one also wash it often after use the salt raises hell with'em as does some fertilizers ...
Boy, you guys sure have been hit hard and it's keeping you busy. I think the two of you make an awesome team.
SEAN, You looked like JUSTIN WILSON saying I GURAN TEE. on his CAJUN COOKING SHOW when he's putting on his salt , pepper and SPICES đ€Łđđ€Łđđ€Ł GREAT Technique there!!!!!đđđđđ„đ„đ„đ„đ„đ„łđ„łđ„łđ„łđ„¶đ„¶đ„¶âïžâïžâïžđâïž
Liked the different action shots. That was great camera work. We got just a skiff of snow here in Wv. this morning. Slicked up the roads pretty bad and created several accidents but nothing serious thank goodness. It was all gone by about 10 or 11am though. Yâall be safe and stay safe and warm and keep up the great work!!!
Don't give up your night job for singing LOL
Its a good thing it really didn't snow.........great video
Damn Shawn that's wayyy to much salt, it's hard on the concrete and just tracks into the building when you salt that much. đł
Very very good work
Why don't you put the wings on your bigger plow? It will help clean up more on your accounts.
No where not know
Well done Spencers. Especially liked the âmake it rainâ salt spreading technique with the shovel lol. Take care n try n catch up with sleep đđ»
Hey Spencer team I hate to say u really need something on that floor all that salt run down in those cracks and going to rust over summer heat. Just saying
o ya lets goooo :)
Lots of nice action shots. We have a dusting on snow here. Stay safe Team Spencer
I have had a few of those days and enjoyed making easier money and not being gone for long hours.
The salt we used up here was HOT PINK on the sidewalks and any stairs we had to do. A portion of the proceeds was donated to help find a cure for breast cancer.
The place where we got it from the owner of the company's wife is a breast cancer surveyor.
Wow! Another snow day for y'all up there and here in the same state as y'all and we haven't got the first inch. Man! This isn't right. This time when I was grow8n up we would has a few snow days but now that I'm a old man the snow don't come. Weird weather!
Do you mix sand with your salt as they do here in Canada?
Ran through 200lbs of salt today! Residentials!
Not again! Please check Your spelling (came out of "Know Where")
Good morning & God bless you all
When you can laugh and be joyful together that early in the morning, life is good. Its almost always coffee time when its salt time! I take a hot black coffee and my two dogs and we get our route done in about 1.5 hours. Only have gone out twice this year in NJ.
You need to figure out a way to wire up and plumb a coffee maker in the truck
Hahaha, I heard they have a few battery machines lol
It's liquid love not coffee it's the beverage that loves you back
Yep same here got a hour of sleep and now I gotta get back at it for 10 hours! Coffee alot of coffee it's going to have to do it. đ
Thatâs a huge amount of salt going down. Your client must super happy with you.
Being from southern Michigan I got fooled as well Spencer. Got minimul amounts yesterday, but got slammed today. So Got to snow blow Saturday. Have a great weekend. GOD BLESS.
Is your new shop going to have a wash bay? I know you love keeping those trucks clean! Good job TQ. âșïžâșïž
Glad yâall are making that money!đŻâ€ïžđđŸđđđœââïžâ€ïžđđŸđșđž đ°
Glad you've been out, helping people be able to work, drive and do their jobs.
You Guys will get snow next week as it all the weather guys on CZcams are showing
You sound down Sean? Is everything ok? Hello TQ đ Love his singing! Lol stay warm & safe! Lol Sean that be the wizard of winter. He he. Hello from Iowa Sat nite 1/28 it we got snow over nite & during day made for slippery rds. It is 13° here tonite & we have some blowing & drifting. đ„¶ Glad I had know where to go. You both stay warm & safeâ€ïž
Get some sleep & appt done & see you tomorrow. đ€â€ïžâïžđ
have you ever looked at a backpack salt spreader? its like a leaf blower that has an attachment on it with a small hopper on the back to hold the salt and a tub that runs down to the tip of the blower tube and the air from the blower shoots/spreads the salt.
KEEP THE GOOD WORK UP MAKE THAT MONEY SHAWN
Love lawn mower stands ,timmer,
Cut,yard glass like good work,
Trucksplow,youtube video
Hello TQ and Shawn from tractor man lawn care business person ok thanks
Hello Willaim, how are you ?
Mother nature doesn't do contracts! Especially a zero tolerance contract. Ya need four crews to meet that goal.. or you'll just kill your crews. And when there are only two of you.. bad vibes happen. Love ya. Take better care of yourselves!
You know when your apartment complex hires a snow person company to clear the parking lot is bad. They leave the parking lot rough when driving on it your vehicle bounces up and down. They don't use salt for the ice. Get what you paid for a lazy company that is cheap. They can't even clean the handicap ramp and the many stairs.
The gov't in some city's is now telling people how much salt you can use. It's a environmental thing but talk about Government overreach like everything else are you getting it yet.......
Can any 1 help me out Iâm buying a 52 grandstand and itâs almost 15 thousand but online it says 12 thousand ?
Been shoveling n hand salting walkways commercially for 5 years ... nice dollar rain technique
Hey Team Spencer, I am ready for winter to be over!
Hahaha, we are finally making some money now! I can do this for another month or so.
I wish winter was all year round!!
Wouldnât it save money to plow the snow and use less salt?
question I see that like clicks are low but high viewership numbers, could it be because the videos are often mislabeled or click bate?
Doing snow can be incredibly tiring. Hang in there.
salt salt and pepper đ€Łđ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł
Would it save more time and make more sense to put the machine on site of your biggest account instead of plowing with the two trucks?
why did you go with green lights on trucks?
That my truck not yours get out of the driver seat
Salt on pavement should be outlawed ! It destroys the underside of vehicles.
So does skidding on frozen surfaces and crashing
You guys make me cheat on my low-sodium diet..........LOL
Curious what application rate you guys apply salt! Pounds/tons per acre?
shawn makita makes a coffee maker
I will admit ive had one in my cart once or twice lol
maybe you can attach a bucket to the handles on the salt spreader with a bungee cord and always have it there. Or leave another bucket there somewhere...
We need at least 10 more snowstorms 5+ inches or more
Isn't all that salt damaging to the environment? Rivers? Aquafers? Plant life?
Out spreading salt in the middle of the night, you ADD guys really know how to live.
50 cents for vacuuming wow that's cheap
You guys should get a walk behind lawn spreader to put salt on sidewalks
Shawn, suggestion, purchase from home depot,Ryobi hand held battery operated salt spreader....it's 1 gal
Great video guys!!
Stay safe!!! đ€ đ
