London devs have said they cannot continue until XDI updates (dialogue menu they use for quests)
Ah I didn't know that, thank you!
I had no idea I just figured they had to handle the behind-the-scenes stuff with the version and creation kit update.
Not been updated in 5 years.
The more i think about it the more Bethesda is pissing me off. Only they can be enough of assholes to halt a highly expected mod years in the making just because they decided to release a half assed update YEARS after the game's initial release that doesn't do anything other than introduce a sea of new problems, completely breaking every single mod that said highly anticipated mod uses which for all we know won't ever be updated because creators have moved on, leaving London in a very awkward position as its future remains uncertain now. XDI for example hasn't been touched since late 2019 and that's only one out of many mods that London needs to be updated.
I just feel sorry for the dev team. they spend so much time creating this world and just as we have, were excited for the release to share their magnum opus with us only for bethesda to pull the rug from underneath their feet and now they have to act like it's not that big of a deal and be all nice and understanding about it because obviously they can't exactly talks shit about company that owns the game they made a mod of.
@@peckneck2439 in fact, there are a lot of mods that make the game downgrade to the previous version, and the fallout london developers could have made and released the game a long time ago, but they purposefully do not do this, because in fact they just unfinished the mod and decided to move the release date so cleverly
If I didn't already own Fallout 4 and saw a mod like London mod I'd buy fallout 4 just to install and play it. So big mods like this BGS should support teams like this.
Bethesda gets VERY jealous when other teams work in their games and do a good job.
@@Nuverotic source: I made it up
@@ItsMeeCambeey source: Interviews about NV, interviews with former devs of New Vegas.
@@Nuverotic You are correct. Bethesda is incredibly insecure, and they should be. I find them to be quite mediocre as of late, actually. It's the mods, and the potential for mods that is the backbone of their games success. They should take a page out of Valve's book, and welcome modders with open arms. I hope Fallout London exceeds Bethesda's quality. It will prove to them that even the fans can do better than them. The company needs the cold water of reality to shock them back into what they used to be.
@@Kris-ox5pm I agree completely. But sadly, Bethesda is only getting worse.
It's going to take the FOLON volunteer team several weeks to test that FOLON still works, once all of the mods they need to work are updated. A mod this size, even if they were a full time team working on this, with nothing else in their lives, it'd take at least 2-3 weeks of testing to get through it. I suspect we'll see it drop around mid-summer.
It's a pity Bethesda wouldn't just pay them for their work and release it as a spin off kinda official title since Microsoft is apparently wanting another game out asap (that's if fallout London creators would even sell it but would pay them for their work)
GOG hosts the Daggerfall Unity mod I believe.
Ah awesome!
But daggerfall is also freeware
They also host the overhauls for Oblivion and Skyrim, too. Enderal, etc.
I would LOVE for them to release the old version. I haven't updated to the latest version, nor do I intend to for a while. It would be sick.
A lot of players are still playing the downgrade ver because new one is kind of buggy. Hell why not, release it, it’s ready anyway.
The script extender is busted it wouldn't work
because FOLO wasnt ready. they knew the next gen update was coming. if it the next gen update didnt happen they still wouldve pushed it back again.
@@The_PunisherOP here is talking about the downgrader that un-updates the game which the majority of players have used while the other half of us avoided the update by settiing the app manifest to read only.
My big fear is they DONT release it for the current "outdated" script extender.
Im sure as hell not updating just to play FOLondon while half my other mods never get updated...
I rolled back Fallout 4 (twice) because some of the Mods I use require FO4SE, And they are part of the settlement building because of all the issues that settlement building have
GoG also has the Enderal mod for Skyrim.
Skyblivion is coming too.
GOG also did the Daggerfall Unity release host.
I truly hope they release the pre-next-gen version, as I have no intention of installing the next-gen updates, now or ever.
wow nexus and gog doing good thank atom the teams vision can go on unrestricted
Hell yeah
Fallout London is listed under the Mods on the main F4 menu, but it doesn't work to download at the moment.
why doesn't BGS have there own script extender that is released with their updates ?
could even put it on the creation club, or release it as DLC
Because BGS games aren't open source. A script extender is a product of reverse engineering that makes it easier for mod authors to inject their own code and helps interact with the game code. BGS doesn't need to reverse engineer anything, because they have the game source code; the only thing they can but will never do is release the game source code
Source: I am a mod author and used script extender
what they mean by IP is there were mod projects shut down the basically port old game assets to the new game, like you cant use new vegas sound files in fallout 4 as a mod since you dont own the IP
I think what they need to do is to have something like Skyrim's Address Library, so that in the event of another Fallout 4 update, they don't have to update each and every F4SE extension, just F4SE and the address library.
Another great video! Thanks for keeping us up to date about Fallout: London. I am stoked about this game. After thoroughly enjoying Fallout 4, this Mod is looking incredible!
4:22 They have hosted mods in the past: One example is the gog cut of daggerfall.
I just want to know is it gonna replace the base game area or is it gonna be a whole new area to play like far harbor
They are likely doing a lot of testing with the script extender at this point.
Enderal uses a set version of the Skyrim build and is its own separate game download. Why doesn’t fallout London do the same thing that Enderal did?
If somebody were to tell me Microsoft brought out the updates deliberately to f**k with FOLO I'd believe them. They paid all that for those ip's & I imagine the last thing they'd want, after the somewhat unexpected success of the tv show was for a fan-made mod to steal their thunder. I'm just glad they're not doing a Take Two & shutting it down entirely tbh.
Serious question please forgive me because I do not play with mods but everyone knew that the next generation update was coming even the fallout London team, so what was their plan for when it came?
I'm super glad we got an update I was not sure what was going on and silence is never great with this kind of stuff. so, releasing some info for me I'm really looking forward to this release.
am honestly surprised bethesda didn't reach out and offer to put this project on creation club, or as a dlc for either 4 or 76, as a big thing to announce alongside the hype the show generated
Ok. I'm playing on winlator on my odin 2 max. It runs 4, is my understanding they will be giving a second standalone installer I can download offline? That is the only way I'll be able to play it and that's my understanding that's how it's being made available
I know theyre still pretty incomplete but this makes me wonder how the update will effect the development of Capital Wasteland Project, F4NV, and Project Arroyo..
Also it looks like GOG has a bunch of mods on the platform similar to Steam Workshop but its not quite as easy.
*Some* people in Bethesda would have known about Fallout: London, its release date and it needing the script extender. But there would have also been people that either knew less about it or didn't even know it was being made. My guess is that the decision for the release date of the update was made by a person/people that knew less or nothing. That person or people would have been thinking, "Release it on the earliest date possible upon it being ready." In fact, that person or people almost certainly would have preferred it to be ready at the same time as the show.
As for further updates, I am sure not only will it get some small updates like Next Gen Update 2 but at some point, Fallout 4 will get a big update like Skyrim Anniversary Edition where for a small fee you get all Creation Club content bundled together.
I wonder if future large scale mods will end up on GOG. There are a lot being made for both Fallout and Skyrim and they could potentially be the same size if not bigger than FoLON.
Yeah this is going to be very problematic now going forward, Seems like for this generation, Fallout London is the first big game mod where sites like Nexus which assumed to be able to support this, cannot support it due to filesize issues, I have a feeling alot of mods on this scale are going to have the same problems. I did not even consider file size was an issue on Nexus. Maybe Nexus is going to have to look into seeing if down the road to upgrade the servers to support mods of this scale eventually.
How big is the mod, Fallout London?
Like 40 Gbs. The map is about the size of base game fallout 4 and far harbor put together.
@@RobotWithHumanHair. 40GB when compressed.
@@RobotWithHumanHair. Thanks!
Play Fallout Shelter while you wait for next update. You can recruit the characters from the tv show. You can also get Three Dog from FO3. Guess where you put him in your vault?
What bot bethesda shill fanboying is this?
You put him in a power plant and then rush it until there's a disaster. If he survives, repeat.
@troyrenlen6459 nope, he goes in the radio station. 😄
Does this mean you need to own fallout 4 on gog? I have it on steam.
Nah that's what they're trying to work out. I think they've figured out the solution
Its because the mod would be delayed anyway. Next Gen patch fiasco helped them get the reason.
Could very well be true, an opportunity to blame Bethesda and have fans not be upset it's being delayed, but who knows it may have actually been ready and the update did just fuck it up, probably will never find out for sure (unless it suddenly takes a year or more to release now, not sure the update would mess it up enough for a year or more to fix but I'm not a game dev/modder so I'm not sure on that front)
@@tommyq374 Yeah, besides the new Script Extender is already out and there is no news from London team.
@@Czejenesku They dont just use NSE, theres a lot of mods who are not updated and block the release of Folon
@@WestCoastChomeur Still some word from the team would be nice.
@@Czejenesku I totally agree, I just looked and apparently the next gen update for XDI ( a big mod for Folon ) started being tested today, so maybe we'll hear from the team in the next few weeks ( I hope ).
It's a pity fallout London's YT has offered zero updates on how it's going, sure they probably have a discord I'm assuming but I don't use discord, they have a YT channel for a reason, been checking just to see no new videos since the Bethesda update dropped
Reminder, that the best mod ever (in my opinion), Enderal, was released in two versions on Steam.
Releasing a mod that appears to be an official BGS mos is infringing on their IP. That's why big modders go out of their way to state their release is not official. The lower the effort, the better the chance BGS will shut them down. I still remember too many people telling me about BGS's release of Enderal. BGS undoubtedly remembers that too.
I personally think BGS is tactically releasing updates until mods get little more over-stated clarification. I'm glad to see FOLON and GOG appear to be falling in line with that.
GOG can make any previous version downloadable, so the original release version is entirely feasible. That would make for a good test run.
Since it replaces the FO4 install, why not just require the mod that removes the next-gen update? Am i missing something here?
That’s to easy mate, the planning team are probably a bunch of monkeys 😂
They apparently didn't have the project ready anyways, so they used this to delay it
I agree with 100% BGS missed a great opportunity to get some great PR. Which they could desparetly need, but once again they dropped the ball!
Let’s goooo
💪🏼
if gog didnt then steam would, they literally have done before with a skyrim mod
Dam...as an MMA fan and Fallout fan. I'd watch your videos occasionally here and also occasionally see snippets of Whittaker from the MMArcade podcast and was also saying "Damn...that other looks and sounds real familiar" haha. And as I was watching the most recent episode "UFC 304 Fights Announced" it finally clicked and went...NO WAY...that's the LoneVaultWonderer haha. Small world man.
Fallout London was never dead Bethesda kicked their legs out from under them because Bethesda decided to give us a patch that hasn't really done anything but shove in some not needed CC content
Your just annoyed it was a great update for console plus new content is always nice so it was a good update
@@aaronvasseur6559 Right that's why the CC content was broken on the console but no you are sooo right it's the "best" patch in the history of video games
@@aaronvasseur6559Yeah for CONSOLE it's great for PC it's terrible
@@mrneoneil999 god please can bad logic just die off? Bro never said it was the best update in gaming. And REGARDLESS Bethesda are the business that owns the Bethesda IP and mod creators aren't. Bethesda have no responsibility to make life easier for modders and that coming from a nexus mods verified creator. It Bethesda want to drop an update then we gotta kick rocks or figure out how to deal
@@AVTPersia I was being sarcastic if it wasn't painfully obvious
In case of Bethesda, it's probably the left hand (community manager who wrote the article) not knowing what the right hand (developers) is doing. Could easily be a lack of internal communication. Not excusing it, of course.
Does Nexus mods support the ability to break up mods like this into parts? Torrent files have the ability to break up the mod or game into several parts to download and then you recompile them into a single game folder, why couldn't Fallout London do that to release on Nexus? This is going to be a big problem for mods from Skyrim as well like Beyond Skyrim, Skywind and Skyblivion are all going to be running into these issues. Guaranteed, the file size for those mods will be over 20 Gbs easily.
I do think its rich your saying nexus mods not having fallout London is crazy, can you name another mod of this size? Obviously they weren't exactly prepared/ don't want to do it until more mods this size start coming out
Hi Lone, do you ever do short form content? I understand monetization is your bread and butter, but I don’t have time for five minute intros into a 21 min video. Reels?
What is GoG??
good old games
Personally I would love if they released both the pre and updated versions (even if both can't release at same time) because there are TONS of people who rolled back their games to before the "next gen" and it would be a bit of a bummer to have to use the update from BGS just to play London. (I mean I WOULD update if it was only way to play London, but I would prefer not having to update at all.)
I wshed they'd just put out the mod and then if people who installed the update let them know it has some problems, then it'd be something they could work on updates...they act like it's gonna be perfect and no problems as if any mod especially as big as Fallout London, isn't gonna have one problem. I didn't install the Next Gen update, and was excited to play the mod actually right up to almost the day of release and what do they do? Oh, put it off till they can be sure the update didn't mess it up. What about people who didn't install the update? Why not just release it and stop asking people to wait for updates, it would never end.
Would it make more sense to call it a current gen update as it was just an attempt to smooth out the original experience and bring some addition settings and options too? Not even as substantial as remaster right? Am I mistaken? It's like still referring to the PS5 as next gen. Glad I installed the update on a different device to do a vanilla test playthrough while my heavily modded game is safe pre update. Wish the update was more groundbreaking somehow for PC players to better justify breaking all mods. Yes at this point additional official updates seem to be a necessary evil to stabilize the base game. Also I am eagerly waiting for Starfield mod support any time now.
Been following Fallout London’s Mod for some time now and after the so many delays and Pi$$ Poor Planning, I wouldn’t be surprised if this was released until late next year…..in line with Season 2 of Fallout and hopefully not Season 3 or 4 😂
It's out now
I said the exact same thing about them releasing the pre-update version. Because most people that CAN play the mod never let their game update anyway! So just put it out for those of us who would rather have the pre-gen version of the game!
Im happy just to wait - Give it a month and BGS will hopefully slow down with updates and Gog will be ready to roll... Its for the long time best interest to just have 1 version and that version being on the next gen version of Fallout 4 - Its a no brainer... Be patient... :)
Split the files up? I am not sure why that is an issue? They could have chopped it up into 3 different sections and should work on nexus...
Why not just put the MOD in Steam Workshop same difference....right???
i won't be playing fallout london unless they release it's original pre-next gen update version. Not going to update my FO4
I dont get that modnexus crap, many mods are too big for it and they get split by multiple rar files and there is no issue with that..
The vast majority of players are still on the pre update version and GOG is still on that version 1.10.163 and has not got the update yet. So why don't they release the version they had planned to release on April? Most of the players would be able to play and enjoy it and those that have the update can always downgrade. Even the dev of FO4SE said the new update sucks and breaks the game on its own.
Interesting , Thank You .. I do want to play it , I would even pay money . Why can't it be a stand alone game?
Well buying and downloading any Bethesda Fallout title (fallout 3, fallout 4, and New Vegas) from GOG come with script extenders pre installed. So there's that 😭🤣🤷🏼♂️
....and the ability to select an older game version with a few clicks in the menu settings.
@@auldyin8368 facts 😎👍🏼
They do? I had to install FOSE and NVSE manually, so... I don't think they do...
it would've ended up as a torrent most likely.
Bethesda should have just come out with Fallout 5 right after the tv show, instead they do what Bethesda do and break mods on a 15 year old game and the modding community getting mods to reverse the stupid update that really didn't do much at all but break mods. Was it worth it Bethesda? And on top of that we were expecting it ,they did this very thing with Skyrim...and everyone got so upset when they did these updates and so for the ones who didn't install the update, how about just put out that version and then when you all figure out what Bethesda did to screw up modders ONCE again, then put out another version for the updated next gen.
Idk man, it really just boils down to bethesda owning the rights and not having to live by anyone else's standards. Just because they support community mods more than any other company, doesn't mean they should be expected to notify creators of their releases. It's a bit presumptous
That's what I've tried explaining to people. Does it suck FOLON has been delayed until an unconfirmed date? Of course. But the TV Show, Game Update and massive influx of players and just people into the Fallout Universe itself is massssssively better for the Fallout Franchise as a whole than FOLON would/could be. There are already talks of expediting the next Fallout Game, and/or other games in the Fallout Universe possibly being created or worked on faster, because of the massive popularity and money that has been generated in the past few months.
Not to mention that only people who mod on PC can even play FOLON. People who don't play with mods won't be playing it, people on console won't be playing it because they can't and people who don't want to create a new character and completely overhaul their game probably won't be playing it. I'd be willing to wager that the percent of people that end up playing FOLON won't even be above 10-15% of the entire player base across all platforms and versions.
True, but yet they should've realistically delayed this "Next-Gen" update due to the fact that not only does it break mods.. but the game quite literally is broken for a good portion of players.
@@lerne3060 Exactly it's not like the update isn't fuckin broken in its own right this shit shouldn't have been released yet they clearly needed more time to work out the kinks but ya know it's fuckin Bugthesda and Todd's sweet little lies.
It's all corporate and IP things. People who think otherwise have never been in charge of more than one person, let alone thousands. With each of those thousands being a high possibility of liability. Also let's be honest, the FOLON team just wasn't finished and decided to use this as a smokescreen
All im saying is, once is a coincidence, but if, lets say, next planned release date for the mod, Bethesda launches a new update in and around that time, especialy if it ends up being next year on ST.goerges day for the second time in a row, that will become a pattern and Bethesda will no longer have my money. Because my conspiratorial mind already spins it's cogs at the prospective possibility Bethesda wants to hurt this mod as much as they can. Because it is in all angles, design, looks, gameplay, story, looking to be better then ANYTHING Bethesda has released since Skyrim. And I dont think Tod wants that perspective out there. Particularly when games like Baldurs Gate 3 is making the industries level of polish look like a joke. They dont need a ambitious mod making the whole industry look like double the joke now do they? Wouldnt surprise me in THE SLIGHTEST. Even if it somehow got out that it was an industry wide call towards bethesda to fuck with these modders. Because for real, said it once will say it again. It's bad enough to the AAA industry that they have Baldurs gate 3 making them AAAAALLLL look like absolute CHUMPS in full caps, last thing they need is a bunch of peppy and ambitious modders doing it too. Again just my conspiracy brain talking, but would NOT be surprised if a whistleblower came out with nuggets like these theories. Becouse seriously, I promise you. We are going to play Fallout"London, and it will be borderline bereft of bugs and absolutely, bafflingly and breathtakingly polished in every way. Thats the level of dedication these guys clearly put into the mod over at the FOL team. So even if I am wrong about the conspiracy, I guarantee you I am not wrong on the effect this mod will have on the industry. "Hey, wake up game industry. Im still dealing with 6 hour long campaigns to games cash cowed into live service multiplayer's on life support, meanwhile I have a 40+ hour long MOD FOR A BETHESDA GAME YOU ABSOLUTE PHILISTINES!" (Edit: Last word is philistines for those who have trouble reading in all caps. Being a philistine means: a person who is hostile or indifferent to culture and the arts, or who has no understanding of them)
id revert my FO install to play this. I dont give a f*ck about BGS content.
I never assumed it was dead, but as long as Bethesda comes up with pointless "updates" , O guess it's difficult for modders to keep up with them.
I mean it sucks and all, but unfortunately BGS is under no obligation to tell modders anything.
From a business stand point. Marketing mods does make sense. There a quite a few people who bought a game and have never played the vanilla version.
Why not just release it...
I think being that the Next Gen (lol) update is still broken and there WILL be more upcoming patches, most likely sooner rather than later, so why should FOLON bother perfecting their incredible project AGAIN, if another patch is just going to rip it up. And I feel Bethesda KNEW it was a GARBAGE update to begin with, and did not want the modding community to dis it before it came out.
Wait so let be understand all the criticism Bethesda got from the next gen update because of this mod was completely pointless as the mod was to big for nexus wow just wow
The Next Gen update broke my xbox mods all together. I cannot get to the menu to update or change mods at all.
Um, torrent?
I can't believe Fallout London is too big for PS5 and Series X
It will never come to consoles. Microsoft will not allow third party software on their platform. The script extender. I believe Sony also has a policy like this.
@@Robert-yt9pq Microsoft could make an exception, but on the other hand, PlayStation are too stubborn to do that, they don't even like mods on their platform in the first place.
Gonna have to disagree...BGS is not obligated to help FOL at all and furthermore it would actually hurt the NGU of FO4 if they did with a FOL release coming out so close after. If they released at the same time or close to it the the NGU hype would quickly be overshadowed by
FOL. As bad as that sounds, the NGU will have several months of new players rediscovering the base game before FOL is ready. BGS put resources into the NGU and need to get as much out of it, not help FOL overshadow it.
Bethesda doesn't want a huge third party project to overshadow them nor be associated with them. With FOL releasing so close to the show a lot of people would then begin to associate both with the main Bethesda studio.
Fallout London is listed under the Mods on the main F4 menu, but it doesn't work to download at the moment. They're hardly unpromoting it..
And F4 Sim Settlements which is a huge content mod is under their Mod menu, and did work.
Tbh I don't think it's about overshadowing. They benefit from modding - they want them to succeed
Thank goodness. Disaster averted. Hope this means we won't have to hear about this unofficial mod again until it's available for every PC gamer to try and play.
We would be playing it now if they would just release it.
No you wouldn't be. You'd be figuring out how to downgrade your F4. And after the mod gets fixed for the latest F4 version, you'd be figuring out how you can update and still preserve your saves. Mod authors are saving you and thousands of other people pain and wasted time by delaying the release
The London Fallout team should get their money back for the license they bought from Bethesda.. oh.. wait...

bethesda gives 0 fucks about fallout london.. 0...
It's listed on their Mod page under the main F4 menu in the game on PC.
So let get this straight. BGS should have not released the NG update because they MUST give modders a two or three month early access to the NG update to get their mods working. Really? BGS must adjust their schedule due to modders might be delayed on their unofficial product. Let's not forget that FO:L was delayed once. BGS does not owe it to modders to adjust their schedule for external unofficial projects. So get over it. FO:L will get released when it gets released. Feel free to vent.
Hear, Hear!
Fallout 4 is still broken though
To be honest, there was no reason for the next gen update to come to to PC at all. No benefit whatsoever
@@MRgusty2012 You'll get no argument from me about the disappointment of the NG update for PC. All I wanted was support for greater than 60 fps and bug fixes. We got neither of those even though UFO4P exists and all they needed to do was to internalize those fixes. The CC content they included is pretty much garbage but I suppose they wanted to introduce the Enclave to FO4 because of the show. Having said all that, the use of mods is at your own risk. Using F4SE adds another layer of uh-oh whenever BGS updates the game (and Skyrim with SKSE) which is why I never use any mod that requires F4SE. The mods I do use were not affected by the NG patch.
imo, bethesda knew the mod has the potential to overshadow the main game & with the new tv contracts i dont think they wanted the distraction after starfields semi flop so they intentionally delayed the mods release. F4 is quite old & long overdue the update they just did. The chosen preview & date for bethesda's 'update' was as questionable as its content & overall a huge disapointment compared to London mod we were really waiting for.
Lets hope the modders are still around and/or can be bothered to update things they made a while ago, im expecting it to be several months ?
Nah, bro. Bethesda has always been supportive of mods, including mods like Enderal, which is a total conversion mod with its own download on steam. I’m not sure why fallout London didn’t do this like Enderal did.
I just find it funny that the creator of the game, that made these mods even possible & wouldn’t exist without it, then gets shit for updating their game. “Gamer World Issues”
Try playing Fallout 4 on pc with a script extender right now
idk why anybody would think Bethesda should have reached out FO London devs ahead of time. Bethesda has zero affiliation with them, it's not like they're a studio under them or had a collaboration in development.
Bethesda doesn't owe them anything to be like "hey FO london modders with your incredible upcoming game mod that makes our FO4 vanilla game look even more like crap, speaking of which it's gonna get that long awaited next-gen update on this date, just thought y'all should know"
It's because they've promoted them before and they've done this with the Skyrim script extender team in the past. Exceptions are clearly made
Todd has stated that BGS love their modding community, and then they do this to Fallout London. The fact that they knew this was going to affect FOLON and that they didn't warn the team just makes my opinion of BGS drop even farther.
Are you people really that dumb? Like seriously? Bethesda owns the entire Fallout IP...that show and Next-Gen patch have been talked about and in the works for years now. Why would or should they put everything off because of a mod? Bethesda is making tons of money from all of this which is good for the Fallout Franchise and community as a whole.
They didn't need to "warn" the FOLON Team, the FOLON Team should have had the intelligence to not plan on releasing their Mod in the same timeframe as the TV Show coming out and especially before the Next-Gen Patch had been released. If FOLON came out and then a week later all this stuff happened it would 100% been worse for FOLON. Failing to understand that shows how short-sighted people like you see, think and are.
Not to mention FOLON can only be played by the PC Modding section of Fallout fans...so I guess anyone who plays on console or who doesn't play with mods, or even know how to mod, are nowhere near as important as the people that do according to you. That is just 100% entitlement and selfishness.
First?
Seems I am :)
i think Bethesda intentionally pushed back London cuz it was in that tv show window and they wanted the fans diverted to 76 with the next update since its there biggest cash cow of the ip currently
...Why would FOLON choose to release their Mod during the TV Show's launch? You'd have to be unbelievably naïve or ignorant to do so. And what's even funnier is that you people saying this stuff act like the only people that matter are the pc modding community. FOLON can't be played by anyone on console or anyone that doesn't play with mods right? Why should everyone else have to suffer just so people who want to play FOLON can? The TV Show and influx of people into the Fallout Franchise is immensely better for the Fallout IP and Fallout Community going forward than FOLON would and could ever be. Failing to understand that shows how entitled and bratty some of the PC modding players are.
Of course they knew. I've been saying that. The update wasn't anything of note. They just released it so people would play their games during the hype of the show and not the london mod. It would have been an embarrassment for Bethesda.
They honestly should have just used an actual game engine 😂
No other game engine, not even UE5 does the blend of things a Bethesda open world game does. And Bethesda have an unprecedented level of mod support for their games.
"It's not dead". Well I would hope so. Pretty sure these people have put more WORK AND CARE into their "mod" than Liethesda does for a WHOLE game.
I hate that this isn't gonna be available on consoles. That's a L on its own. So really idc that it got delayed again.
man... I've watched a few of your videos now, it's decent content but waaay too much filler to pad your videos runtimes, get to the bloody point already 😩

BGS has gotten TOO big and care only about $ so the poor people working on Fallout who love it are forced by those idiots.

BGS has turned into MONEY over everything else including their reputation.
I've NO desire or care of ES6.
FO5 is so far in the future we'll probably never see it.
