- Part 2. So the project has started and the challenge has begun.. build the best ebike/emtb possible on a budget...I have given myself a £500 budget and expect to come in well under that. This video is part 2 with the next few weeks dedicated to building my lass (Emma) the best emtb you possibly can. The starting bike is a 2017 Giant Stance cost new £1300. A top of the line Giant electric bike is £5600+ my aim is to prove you can build a much better good solid fast ebike for a fraction of the cost! the skills and knowledge you learn from watching these videos could be easily transferred into giving you the knowhow and confidence to build your very own electric bike. Learn from my mastakes.

Lol cheers Dale mate she's been pestering me all week to get the battery sorted. she was wounded when we got jipped with the cells... The new ones are coming on Monday and I need to order the spokes but it's all go I'm looking forward to seeing finished.

The 1500w version is better but the 1000w is still a decent solid wheel. I have now overvolted mine to 52v with a 20ah battery. I've been waiting to make a video but I've had to go back to college and haven't had the time to do a updated build video. The 1000w am good for about 33mph
I did have mine doing 50 down a steep hill 😂 won't be doing it again anytime soon though

I just got one mate I like it . Controler died in 40 miles had to replace it . Just started to use ebikes. Your bike is some bit of kit that . I done my own but it's not as good as your mrs bike
The point is mate you made it yourself. it's more than most so theres a well done from me 👍 you should be proud of it... Don't matter what they look like they are wickerd fun at the end of the day to me that's all that really matters 😊

Voilamart kits are fantastic in my opinion...I've built a couple using the 1000w and the 1500w .. cant fault them..
I haven't powered it up yet but build quality seems spot on its nice to buy something e bike related and it actually be what it says on the tin I'm looking forward to getting it up and running.
@@theebikenut4679 I did enjoy the 1500w kit more tbh.. just that little more power.
Was ideal.. think I used a 48v 17ah battery.. I've heard people over volt them..use a 52v for even more better performance.. any way.. my 8000w 72v 40.6ah come a few days ago from china after a 6 week wait.. cant wait to get that sorted out..
@@steve7163 I'm half tempted to but Emma's wheel on my bike and give it all 200Amps haha I wonder what speed it would get up to before iilt blow up... Volmart kits are good for money that's what is on my missus work bike witch I said about before it now has 2187miles on and still going strong.
I would suggest fitting a 11t 32t rear casset u can get a dnp 11t screw one on ebay with something like 48t on the front or it will feel like you are putting no effort in any thing around 20ish mph any your or Emma's legs will be flying round and from my experiences she or you won't like it.
I'm sound jmlbud ust working a lot atm. Yeah it's got to be said I'm impressed with the quality. it really good value for money I'm curious to what I can get out of it and I'm half tempted to wire it up to my bike just for a laugh lol.. I'll have a look at them cassettes thanks for that 👍
@@theebikenut4679 yea they are not bad at all the only thing I have done to the wheel and motor is put some acf 50 anti corrosion spray on the spokes as they started to rust apart from that we have no problems at all and gets used daily.
Its definitely a worth while upgrade and its the only 11t rear screw on cassette you can buy she only uses really 3 gears 7 6 5 and some times 4 th

Single handedly getting them banned e bike nut?? you must be doing some naughty things whilst you're out riding the roads at the speed limit, with lights, a crash helmet and taking those corners sensibly 😂😂
