One thing I find ChatGPT most useful for is to stand in as the average reader. Things like "What snap judgement would you make about this CV if you skimmed over it?" I hope they'll retain the option to use with no memory, no customisation.
How can we ask chatgpt to , maybe update memory in retrospect, visiting all past chat discussions next to my sidebar..wait..what of I visit all of my chat interactions and write in all of them "update memory". Do you think this would work?
you can copy all your conversations into a huge pdf file and call it master information list. and ask it to put relivent information into memory. Actually as I write this out I'm thinking you have to validate every memory so this maybe wont work. try with a small sample first and let me know what happens. good luck.
@Leonardo_No_Cardio I tested your theory, and it worked; I pulled up a favorite prompt from the sidebar of ChatGPT last month and just said: ChatGPT, remember this, please. I saw the memory updated icon, and ChatGPT replied it would and asked me if I had questions. Then I checked my personalizations like Drake shows, and the prompt I asked ChatGPT to remember was in the manage memory section.
We need the ability to do negative prompting ! Additionally, we need all of this memory within a "scope" - there needs to be scopes. I have different projects, and need different memory relevant to that scope.
so, how like, limted is this, as I'm working on a dnd world, but the issue is I've got so much now it cloggs up the channels, I'm in the process of really detailng out a town and I want to get ALL the possible details, would this allow me to now get that more so done? or am I possibly misunderstanding this new update?
Just tried a character with a background powers and abilities was fine and dandy until I made a second and deleted the first characters abilities to make room for the second so yea it sucks

Wow! I’m stoked for this for my client content creation and for my own, amazing
Sounds like the perfect way to collect data about a person completely.
you can permanently delete data points about yourself
People who aren't concerned are naive.
Great coverage
Cool! Just the other day, I was thinking how much better ChatGPT would be if it could remember some of our conversations.
??? It doez already
I was surprised to find out memory was turned on my ChatGPT by default. I like the idea, but still surprised.

It would be much more useful if each GPT. Had its own memory. I'm hoping this will come soon
Thanks
Almost like CZcams it gives you certain videos to look at after you've used it for a while?
It has memory of sessions but it doesn't have a personalisation tab for memory at all now
I can see how that could be super useful

This option is not available in the settings of my chat, even though I have paid for the Plus version.
use a VPN if you are in europe

I have realised it long time back already.
What prevents this from moving to "sponsored content based on your likes"? It ruined Google.
Agreed it strongly feels like that.
Main thing is there are other AIs if it gets ruined I will use 1 of the many others.
what is the difference between this and custom instructions?
This is automatic
So how long before this can finally handle running a d&d campaign? Memory has always been the biggest weakness getting in the way
Why can't I see that option? I have plus.
What is the best chat gpt app ?
Anyone else having huge problems with their memory? My GPT won't log certain memories, and then sometimes it forgets it's whole memory tree by itself.
My Settings windows does not have a "Personalization" tab, i use the plus version. I live in Germany
Ich habe es auch noch nicht. Deutschland wahrscheinlich wieder als letztes haha
Can I flush and reset this memory?
Im still waiting to get it... 😩
Scammers are like, "damn it now it knows I'm a scammer"
ChatGPT is like talking to a friend!😁
A friend with a high I.Q. who fell down the stairs.
@@faheeta5036 That’s not true it’s still a working progress…

@@MustardGamings F in the chat
I don't have one 😞
It doesn't appear on my settings. Help!
You'll just have to wait. It's being "rolled out" as time goes on.
Is there a way of turning this off.
Yes, go to personalization and turn memory off
Also on ios?
The memory is way to small. I feel like I am on a commodor 64.
My ChatGPT memory is enabled but doesn't update the database.

@@tonyclif1 Thanks!
Theres all your perfectly engineered prompts gone.
Turn off memory
