Yeah you’re right! Tsukki being real with everyone is something we do love watching. We’re rooting for our boy rn but we can definitely see Tsukki’s words helping him grow further as a player!

I'm im my self betterment and character development phase and this anime showcases both of them with so much emotion and beautiful characters hence why its one of my favs which motivates to work even harder and the love these guys have for volleyball is unmatchable I used to play volleyball in school I was a wing spiker and team captain as well We once came runner ups in a district level tournament and it was the best feeling to defeat the hosting school in semi's where they had a cheering squad like shirarorizawa or miyans and the best part was after the defeat they all went silent

First, I'm really enjoying your reaction. It's quite nice to rewatch it with you two. Don't take this as a critic, but Hinata and Kageyama are NOT Naruto and Sasuke. Not at all! Only in a surface level they might resemble Naruto and Sasuke, but they have little to do with that whole mess. Trust me, give them a chance, and you'll see they are their own characters and they have nothing to do with that. In fact, they are a subversion of the Naruto-Sasuke trope in many ways. Also, this is not an anime about good guys versus bad guys... they are all high schoolers and they are all awesome! I know Tsukishima is introduced as an antagonist, but loose any Manichaean approach and give them all some time. You'll fall in love with every single character.

When we said they were like Naruto and Sasuke, we were referring to the typical trope which reminded us of them (although Kageyama is better than Sasuke for us lol 🫢) You’re right though - now that we’re farther along in the show, we can say we’re loving all the characters already, even some of the opponents!

I work with elementary and middle schoolers. They LOVE Haikyuu. And though my favorite characters are Hinata, Tanaka and Nishinoya, my students are definitely bigger fans of their opponents. Specially Nekoma High (Kenma and Kuro) and Inarizaki High (brothers Miya). Anyway, I'll try to behave and keep enjoying your reaction videos.
