- At 78 years old, #MeenakshiAmma is arguably the oldest female practitioner of #Kalaripayattu, a martial art from Kerala. She received the #PadmaShri in 2017.
Currently, she runs a kalaripayattu school in Kozhikode, where she trains around 150 students, both girls and boys.

There was a time when This Martial Art was the embodiment of fearsome, now it's reduced to a mere sport, ....Britishers really were another big curse for Bharat.
They left in 1947
What you see in media is the dance version of it. The actual combat art isn't secret and is never shown in public. This martial art is indeed the embodiment of fearsome and only because we dont know about it, we think like this so..
