No.....There are two meanings for spine...One is the flex of the arrow. That's what you are referring to. The other refers to the stiffest part of the arrow. Typically, you want that part of the arrow facing up when the arrow is nocked on a compound. These arrows have no stiff "line" or "spine." The stiffness is uniform all the way around.
