  • Basically just a very short version of the Birth, Life, Death, rebirth series that I made on him.
This is not an accurate representation of how his voice changed from year to year, as there’s so much more to it.
I have made full in depth videos on this from 1991-2014 and the final part which covers his rebirth will be out before Christmas.
    Enjoy fellas and fellettes ✌️

That Boardwalk footage is definitely not 1992 though. It has been used as illustration in documentaries, because that's the only video of the band's rehearsal. However Noel is playing the guitar he bought right after they got signed and Bonehead has way less hair than in '92 ;)

I'd say 1995 or 1996 was peak. it just had the best amount of rasp and smoothness that gave it such an insane amount of power. Granted his position and style was wearing on him by then but still, it was closer to a fine wine, just listen to Knebworth 1996.. but I do have to admit that the early voice had a very specific and otherworldly charm to it

The happy ending is he found that wonderful voice and himself again. There has been an improvement every year since 2011. The thing is, when you get to around 30ish, your voice changes. When you are a singer, it really messes with your go to places of your voice. In essence, you need to relearn how to use your vocals. This is why Liam sounds great again. He's found the sweet spot for his new voice.
