Hey there! I’m about to turn 20 and have been trying to figure out what I want to do with my life. I’ve always loved traveling and having new experiences and for some reason I never thought of being a travel agent but I found your channel and I’m starting to fall in love with this industry more and more. I already plan random trips i never go on but I love putting them together. Thank you for your content and helping me realize the path I want to take
For my marketing, sales, CRM and communication, I use only one software, and that's Flowlu. I really love how it boosts my overall productivity and how it can automate all my routines, even when it comes to CRM or finances.
I use TravelJoy for my CRM.. plus my host agency has one as well but I don't use it, they track our commissions automatically.. but I prefer TravelJoy to handle all my clients and having it organized
Hello Cyndi I love your channel thank you for sharing all the knowledge (although I am not a travel agent) I am a destination and many of my guests need help planning their trip which I help them with (logistics, ground transportation, other in country activities). What software is good for me? I am kind of hybrid.
Great video, can i ask what apps are people using to upload customers itineraries to? I like the idea of the itinerary planner that customers can access themselves once we build it.
Both Mac or Windows would work just fine with nearly all hosts and CRMs as they are typically web based. If you are going to do a lot of video editing like we do, Mac has iMovie but you can also get Movavi for PC. It comes down to personal preference.
Also, do I have to get a degree from college to become a travel agent?? I keep finding mixed answers and my family is really pushing school in general regardless of my career but if I don’t have to go then I don’t see the point in wasting the money. I understand it can be beneficial in certain situations but it doesn’t seem to be worth it in this industry unless I have to go
Careers on Vacation is a travel school so technically going through our program you are in travel school but there is no requirement of school. A business degree can be helpful if you wish to own your own travel agency one day.

Okay, I’m so confused. I’ve asked my host agency this question and even googled it and can’t seem to get a straightforward answer that makes sense. Is Travefy considered a CRM? My host agency books through Tess and I know I have to list my bookings in Tess, but I’m not the biggest fan of the interface for clients and would like to use Travefy specifically for contact with clients.
Thanks for your question . Travefy is not a CRM, Tess is. We love Travefy for other things & client interfacing, but it's not quite CRM level. Hope that helps!

From there you can sway your marketing with your target audience on socials, ads, etc. A little social media tip, if you tag the location somewhere in the US or anywhere around the world, people in that area will be more likely to see your content!
