This was a fun show to be backstage on! Had the picture drop over the fireplace fail to drop fully. Dropped the crash garbage can and had it bounce and roll instead of one single crash. Had the wall drop hang up. The downside was an awful lot of cleanup afterward. Shredded paper, breakaway glass, sopping wet carpet to get semi-dry, and Cokeing the stage for footing.
Two ancedotes from when I went to a production of this play hosted not by my highschool, but by its nearby competing rival: First, before the play started one of the stagehands was walking around asking for an audience volunteer to help try and set up the actively-falling-apart set. I was part of my school's theater tech program, so I accepted and soon afterwards got the opportunity to loudly declare that I was in fact a spy sent to sabotage the play. Second, during that same pre-play preamble another stagehand was looking for a disk copy of Duran Duran's greatest hits or something like that. At several points throughout the play, they played a dramatic stinger, but there was one point near the end where the stinger got replaced with a snippet from "Rio" (a song by that very same band), which I found really funny.
I just saw a production at a local college and they had that but with the notorious BIG. I wonder if that bit is up to the department of what artist is used
@@eclipsethedragon1331 The West End production used Duran Duran and Rio when I saw it, so I think that's the original version of the bit? It works perfectly well with a different artist, though, so there's no reason for other companies doing the show not to change it up.
@@t-g-m-steveI saw a Czech translated version yesterday and the company used Helena Vondráčková, our famous singer. It was even funnier because a young boy listening to Vondráčková Is hilarious. Otherwise, the translation is pretty close to the original.
I love the Dynamic between Perkins and the girl with the Batman plushie, as Perkins encourages her on set from the sidelines, and it is just endearing to see how heartwarming this was.
The cast on the off-Broadway production right now are amazing. The level of stuntwork there is insane. I honestly might prefer them over the originals. If any of y'all are in NYC anytime soon it's a must see
Has anyone ever seen a version of this play where they turn the set around and show you what happened behind the scenes? I don’t know if it’s the same play or different one. But it has the same premise.
This is not the Peter Pan goes wrong show. This is the everything goes wrong show, I watched this when I went to New York from December 16, to December 21 2023.
The "Goes Wrong" is like a trademark, it's much more about the attempt at doing a play then the play itself. Their attempt at doing a play goes wrong. There's a bunch of "goes wrong" videos on CZcams, very hilarious stuff. Highly recommended
i liked this before but i couldnt understand thec butler as we screened it on tv but i was lost, its not as good i think as all i have seen before and one was live when we was in the audience.
I'd seen the preview of this with the original cast, and was excited to see the full play, but barely made it through 10 minutes with this cast; it was awful.
This is a completely different production, unassociated to the original, with completely different people, put on by a semi-professional theater. So yeah, it might be look different.
This video could have saved me £100. Bought to tickets for the London show, walked out after 40 minutes. It was just too lame and laboured. This video is actually slightly better than what I saw. The script is lacking wit, I really don't find it all that funny. 49:01 sums it up for me. If you find a man being hit by standing on a plank funny then you'll probably find this play funny.
The original cast was truly flawless and cannot be beaten but this is probably the 2nd best I’ve seen thus far

Honestly this is flawless too, the performers all have their own unique flavor to them compared to the original cast. I enjoyed both.
Is there a video of the original cast doing the whole play?
Flawless?!????!
Flawless?!????!
I could not keep my eyes off of Perkins stealing every single scene. The flat "tada" after arranging the mantlepiece floored me.
I got casted as Perkins for my school play! The person who’s playing as him in this show is definitely going to be my biggest inspiration 🖤🖤
Time stamp?

The Cornley Drama Society is the best thing to come out of modern media. Thats how funny it is 🤣
I went to see this in London August 2023. The play has changed a bit but we laughed all the way through! Can't wait for the next play you guys do!!
Watched in London yesterday. Great show.
My high school is doing this play and I'm so excited to work on it! it's a pleasure to build all the sets and make them look super cool
Mine is too!! I'm playing Annie and I'm really excited!! :)))

1:03:23 the guy singing dancing queen during an intermission is a legend HAHAHA
The dead guys brother moves like a cartoon character
Absolutely worthy of the standing ovation! xx
Love the butler! A real scene stealer.
This was the funniest I've ever seen. Every player was awesome. Loved it!!!!!!!!!

Funny in an SNL kind of way. Found myself laughing out loud. Great job!! 😂👏🏻

Looks like Kennedy Center in DC

Always good, but don't miss Peter Pan Goes Wrong. Priceless!
I watched a local AmDram once where Peter Pan was 8 1/2 months pregnant. I kid you not !
I saw this video early today and it’s the best.

This play looks like it was tailor made for Peter Sellers, I can only imagine the INSANE job that he would have done with such an amazing material.

Comedy is not easy this one just went too far . The original was magic ..this not so
My problem with it is, the script they are trying to play is totally without interest. It makes Noises Off look like a masterpiece (which it wasn't).
Yes, I thought it was very dull without any decent wit in it.
