Atrioc just doesn’t understand Chef Wonderful. Clearly you don’t own a $4,000 blade.
somebody should make a meme where its Mr Wonderful photoshopped on a weeb posing in the mirror, saying shit like "While you were investing in shark tank flops, I was mastering my blade" and post it to Coffee Cows subreddit
@@lainothefirst Sounds like you're halfway there!
What color is your blade?
Guaranteed he fucking ruins that blade and doesn't take care of it
Clearly
For those who don't understand Kevin, possessing a 4K, Japanese-made kitchen knife is not simply an act of acquisition, but rather a rite of culinary connoisseurship. To own such an instrument is to embrace the pinnacle of craftsmanship and precision, to imbue one's culinary creations with an unparalleled level of finesse and artistry.
The Japanese, with their venerated tradition of blade-smithing and acute attention to detail, have elevated the kitchen knife to a level of sublime perfection. A 4K blade, with its stunningly sharp edge and unparalleled durability, is the epitome of this culinary mastery. It is not just a tool, but a conduit through which the culinary artist may express their virtuosity.
To wield such a knife is to enter into a symphony of slicing and dicing, a symphony in which the chef is both composer and conductor. Each motion, each incision, is a note in the symphony, and the final dish, a masterpiece.
In an age where mediocrity is all too often tolerated, owning a 4K, Japanese-made kitchen knife is a statement of one's commitment to excellence. It is an assertion of one's discerning palate, and an affirmation of one's uncompromising standards. In short, it is an embodiment of culinary refinement and a testament to one's impeccable taste.
How much would it take for you to do all my english class essays this year?
Kevin has studied the blade
@@goddog8139 true🤣
You are being facetious... right?
@@joshuaschalesky It is with the utmost sincerity and reverence that I defend the acquisition of a $4,000 Japanese-made kitchen knife by Kevin O'Leary. To understand the gravity of such a purchase, one must first comprehend the cultural and historical significance of Japanese blade-smithing.
The Japanese have long held a venerated tradition of crafting knives with precision and attention to detail. These knives are not mere tools, but rather, they are a reflection of the craftsman's dedication to their art. To own a Japanese-made knife is to possess a piece of culinary history, a tangible manifestation of the Japanese spirit of perfectionism and excellence.
Furthermore, it is important to note that a kitchen knife is not simply a tool for the mundane task of slicing and dicing, but rather, it is an extension of the chef's creativity and skill. A chef's knife is the most essential tool in a kitchen, and to have the finest one is to have the finest tool. A $4,000 knife will be made of the best materials, with the sharpest edge, and the most durable construction. It will also be made with the most precise and meticulous craftsmanship, which is why it is worth the price.
In the context of Kevin O'Leary's acquisition, it is clear that the purchase of this knife is a reflection of his commitment to excellence and his discerning palate. To invest in such a knife is not an act of frivolous indulgence, but rather, a testament to one's culinary ambition and an affirmation of one's uncompromising standards.
In conclusion, a $4,000 Japanese-made kitchen knife is not simply a tool, but rather, it is a symbol of culinary refinement, cultural heritage, and a commitment to excellence. To possess such a knife is to embrace the pinnacle of craftsmanship and precision, and to imbue one's culinary creations with an unparalleled level of finesse and artistry.

Lori used her mouth to move up if you know what I mean
The golden ticket is literally just Lori branding herself… she’s gonna become the iPhone of sharks since she’s gonna get so many deals but she’s gonna be seen as the “exclusive shark/higher end shark”
shark branding is:
Lori: actual smart dealer, exclusivity.
Mark: throw money at the situation and see what happens.
Robert: "my parents were immigrants."
Kevin: asshole, royalties, will try to buy you out of your companies.
Daymond: "no."
(can't speak for barbara or any others because I'm less familiar with them)
@@a.w_. Honestly that sounds about right. From what I've heard Barbara has the least amount of wealth of any of them so she consequently has the least amount of money to make deals with and also just kind of seems less concerned with branding herself as the other sharks so any deal she does get interested in is likely turned down because the pitcher opts to go with another shark with either deeper pockets like Mark or sharks that sell their brand better like Lori and occasionally Kevin.
@@bigbearkat2010 yeah the ongoing joke is Barbara always says no. But she actually got the biggest success story, it beat scrub daddy lol
@@a.w_. this is so accurate
She already is seen like that for years now. People come there to get her specifically, no other shank has that appeal. Mark Cuban got the money, but Lori got everything else.

Lori is the MVP of the show, Most of the deals come from her
beautiful, smart, latina(?)
she also just gets really successful deals, think she's the majority of the most successful companies on shark tank
Most of the products fit her platform with QVC. She’s also by far the best salesperson of any of the sharks.

I would always go with Lori, simply due to the fact she has brought more smalls businesses presented in shark tank success and kept them going than any of the other guys.
She's also the one Shark you'd imagine having a romantic tryst with.
She seems to be more in touched with reality and help her entrepreneur succeed.
I have used the bug bite thing and it’s ACTUALLY GOATED. As someone who gets bit by a lot of bugs, it works SO WELL and has saved me a lot of pain from bug bites.
Hey guess what. Your body can't process pain and itchy at the same time. It doesn't work lmao
Lori is great because you get a marketing channel with the investment. No amount of tweets from Mark can match a late night infomercial.
Mark does a lot of marketing too. He appears on countless podcasts, his media presence is great and when he puts whatever athletic products in the Mav's locker rooms or stadiums, they sell in huge huge numbers.
When they pair up, they have the biggest range of audience.
as someone who only has 1 1/2 year of semi professional cooking experience the knifes are absolutely an amazing business idea, knife are a craft and kind of gatekept
is it difficult to sharpen the knives on your own in terms of the time/experience needed? i know there's levels to it but I'm wondering just how much of a difference it is to sharpen on ur own compared to mailing ur knife and waiting for it to come back
@@DannyKim101 no not at all you just need the proper equipment and shown how to do it and then it’s a skill you have, it also usually takes 30 mins for a decent kept chefs knife and for a badly kept one (the majority) 45 mins-1 hour
It's not a new thing at all.
When I saw that I was skeptical, cuz it seems like their only customers would be like restaurants or other places that have a lot of knives they use often and need to be sharpened, and they don’t have the time or equipment to do it in house? But also aren’t restaurants usually equipped with that stuff and chefs know how to sharpen knives?
Because surely for personal home use, it’s just cheaper to buy a whetstone or that sharpening bar thing and watch a CZcams vid on how to sharpen than to pay and send your knives away every time right?
@@jjwang7597 most restaurants will hire a knife sharpener to come in and sharpen the knives, the cooking staff is not normally responsible for that. It doesn't really make much sense for a restaurant to use this though because you need your knives to be ready in a couple hours, not however long it would take to mail them
The sharks would definitely beg to be a part of OFFBRAND
He's literally called Chef Wonderful, Big A. You GOTTA let him cook man.

What is this, Hivemind?

I understand that 2 business women want the goated Lori on their team.
But why did they value their company for so little? They could have asked for 5 times as much and it would still have been such an amazing deal.
When the sharks fight over your business , you might as well take the recording of the episode for promo and ask for a bank loan yourself.
Knife sharpening by mail is a legitimately good business.
And the company has done pretty well after that. I think the sharks got their money's worth
It’s clear that Lori is a viewer of the masterpiece “The Quarter 6 Gambit.” How else could she have pulled off such a move?
What makes the golden ticket even funnier is every pitch is at least two people, she didnt even get enough props made for each of the people.
Glad to see Atrioc back at the well that built his career. Love the emotional rollercoaster on this one

The knife sharpener idea sounds like it could be big. Dollar shave club practically does that and its a big industry.
What ! Come on dollar shave club does so much more!
I think it makes zero sense. Why mail off your knives? Just to go through the trouble and then missing them for a while. Also, if you don't care about knives, buy an auto-sharpener, and if you're really into knife care, you're going to learn it yourself anyway
@@FlamingZelda3 yeah I agree. I was more thinking about businesses that would use this. The average person wouldn't use this service.
@@FlamingZelda3 spot on, and people who care about knives are almost always eventually gonna learn to do it themselves
I'm kinda confused by the business concept. Maybe I'm just stupid, but wouldn't most people just use their at-home knife sharpener for day to day sharpening? Unless you have a super-special knife or a super-blunt one, I don't see people using a mail-in sharpening service all that much.
@@lunaangeleclipse9745 People don't realize that getting and using a pretty decent knife sharpener only takes $20 and 2 minutes
But even getting someone else to do it, I'd just bring it to the mf who sharpens chainsaws (usually a jeweler or hardware store)
I've never watched an episode of Shark Tank in my life but I love these highlight videos of them with Atrioc's jokes/insight.
They literally BEGGED 😂😂😂
I don't understand "Knife Aid" like why would you go through the trouble of mailing your knives and then not having them for a few days. If you don't care too much, just buy an auto sharpener, and if you're really into knives, just learn how to do it properly! Who is this for?
For anyone who wants to deal with mosquito bites, heat neutralizes the substance that causes the itch (at least that's what i think happens according to a search i did ages ago). You can use a the side of lighter flame for a brief second (the top will be hotter) if you don't care about the smell of singed hairs, a warm tea/coffee cup that is hot enough to warm you but not burn you also works, apply it to the bite for a little bit and it should cease being itchy if you've done it right. There are pen shaped things that you can buy online that literally just apply the right amount of heat but any kind of heat that doesn't replace the bite with a burn will be just as good.
Would hand warmers work or does it have to be hotter?
@@dajuanvera-byers6788 i've never used one ever tbh so i'm not sure. The type of heat i tend to use is potentially excessive but the type of heat I go for is :holding a hot mug not by the handle it's hot but it won't immediately burn you but you feel like it will if you hold it for a few seconds longer. I'd guess the necessary heat is just under what could cause a minor burn. You don't want to hold it on for too long it's and best to do this when it's cooled for a bit and it takes about 10-15 secs to reach the "this might hurt if i hold it any longer" moment.
I normally put a spoon under hot water and it’s gets hot enough for mosquito bites.
@@dajuanvera-byers6788 they should definitely work but don't hold it on too long, they can burn you
@@TR1CK i've tried the spoon but I always overheat it
please make more episodess I freaking love those
genuinely one of the greatest episodes i’ve seen
I worked on Amazon business acquisition, saw more than 1000 companies and went through 80 deals, and tbh with their sales and margins, the Bug Bite Thing business should be valued WAY MORE than what Lori or the others proposed. I think the business owners would prefer having a shark for 2 reasons: 1/ publicity, 2/ Lori is amazing for multiple reasons. But they wouldn't want diluting their shares too much. So despite Lori's deal not being the best in share price, this leaves the owners with more shares after the deal, which is I think better on a long term basis.
I hope you do more of these, this earned a sub!
Atrioc, your videos have been super great recently! Keep it up!
Another Big A classic, already watched this video 100 times
It'd be cool to see you react to Dragon's Den, (UK version of shark tank) and see some of the more popular or famous products on there.
I miss these shark tank episodes they go so hard. Keep it up!
Big A unknowingly acts like a shark when reacting to these it’s hilarious 😂😂
Yessss I’ve been missing seeing the hidden shark, big A in the tank! So glad you could join us!
Lori goes "pwetty pwease ill give you TWO thumbs up!!! ;)" and they always go for it
Congrats on 500k subs Atrioc! Figured I'd drop this here.
Need more shark tank. love this series
I was already binging Big A's Shark Tank videos, and now the Glarketter uplands a new one?! This is the best day ever!! Big Ups To Big A!!!1!!
The British version, named Dragon's Den, makes more sense, because Dragons are described as hoarding wealth in various stories whereas Sharks don't hoard wealth...
I would disagree. We know that the people in those shows are rich. But the actual show isn't about their wealth, it's about pitching. Which "Shark Tank" at least fits somewhat better. The person "pitching" is the prey in a tank, the rich people the "sharks". The sharks are fighting over the prey.
7:22 the Knife aid would be useful for large kitchens, and restaurants.
This series is a blast to watch with you. Your laugh is contagious!
As an owner of a bug bite thing, I can confirm they are really helpful.
Congrats on 500k!!!
Goated episode and goated editing as well
It does feel at this point like Lori's strong track record with identifying successful businesses to make deals with has made her surprisingly balanced with Mark Cuban's raw money and advertising potential. It's kind of twofold because the people who go on shark tank might see her as making businesses succeed, but also, anyone who *watches* shark tank probably wants to buy any product she makes a deal with since they all seem to turn out good. So it really is smart to make a deal with her.
Also their business is doing so well that I don't think they mind giving Lori 10% lol, they became (deserved, since their product apparently is super fucking awesome) millionaires over it....
Chef wonderful and the $4,000 blade was just Kevin’s attempt at the golden ticket move 😂
Witnessing the Golden Ticket Gambit on stream was jokes, needs to made into a sub emote
knife sharpening services do already exist, it just works better in a commercial setting because those are consistent customers, normal people dont sharpen their knives at all., there is also much less risk in a commerical setting beause commercial applications will use a standard knife making them way easier to just replace if you accidentally break one. a homecook who is willing to pay for knife sharpening services as a home cook probably dont have an off the shelf knife you can buy in bulk. like the place i work at literally gets our knives from the sharpeners so if one breaks theyre literally buying one from their own suppliers at discount
Lori having QVC is just OP in the Shark Tank meta
Why the fuck was the bug bite thing even on shark tank. That business prolly makes more money now than all the sharks combined lmao.
Bro Kevin O' Leary shifted his entire mood once Lori was interested. He was shitting on the company and then started to put in the big bucks.
Atrioc shark tank is my most searched term, thank you for another one !
I look forward to a future Netflix documentary about a serial killer who mailed all his knives in to Knife Aid for sharpening.
Maybe you have done this on Twitch, and I am a simple YT frog, but I would for you to do a deep dive analysis of Shark Tank at some point. Really deep dive on the sharks, what types of products do the best on the show (during pitch and after), and just a general sum up of your thoughts. Think it would be really interesting

Mark: "$4000-"
Company owners: " and for that reason we are out"
I actually think the Golden Ticket thing is pretty dope. This show just acts as advertising for the shark's own branding, and that's a pretty cool little brand image thing for Lori
i have worked in a single kitchen with 8 chefs they all had shur or wushtof knife sets. they waited weeks with dull knives ( using disposable shop knives ) for the guy in a van to come by and sharpen their knives. if they advertise in food and culinary magazines they would kill it as long as they have an excellent reputation for a sharp longlasting edge.
That bug bite thingy really works
I got a Raymond John ad before this that was pretty cool
Lori and Mark are literally the only 2 sharks that matter. Lori has QVC and Mark has the most money. Kevin just exists to be Mister Wonderful and cause drama, Barbara exists to say no, and the other 5th random person that shows up to to fill a seat.
