@@cryhwks They are redshirting him. This is why he's #3 on depth. As long as he doesn't play 5 games he will be a Freshman next year. I think he was offered a scholarship as a Sophomore in HS he was so good. I would look for him to be your starter next year.

I know we (OU) have had a nasty offense these past few years, but lord have mercy Hurts is an absolute force to be reckoned with. Even when he played at Bama I could not believe how calm and collected he was/is the entire time. He has the composure of an NFL QB
Sooners fan here. I really hope OU and Bama make it to the championship or at least play each other in the playoffs. Hurts already has an incredible story, but him playing against his former team and QB that replaced him is a story that inspire movies to be made from. I wish you guys the best of luck this season. (even though luck will have nothing to do with any of your wins lol)

Power5 conference, do the college football fans a favor and stop play games like these. "Pick on someone your own size" I understand that the non-power5 needs the money. I'm sure they can figure out something else within their own conference. I Hate that the power5 has to go undefeated to get into the playoffs. Let's try and play a 10 regular season games within the power5 +plus a team that's rising to become a power5 and every game matters. Letgo of the non-performing team to make room for the future teams that are rising to become a power5. Rejuvenate the conferences every 5yrs and the D1 playoffs should only be for all conference Champions. Because we all love underdogs.

They only play one or two games that will determine their ticket to the playoffs. How do you know what was going on down field in his first run? Maybe there actually wasn’t anyone open. Jalen hurts does it often, all the quarterbacks who played this game did it. Maybe that’s what Lincoln Riley taught them to do. You Judge a freshman for 5 minutes of playing time, who also drive the length of the the field to score a touchdown for absolutely no reason at all. Let Lincoln Riley do the coaching, and let Rattler determine for himself if he is sooner material....how about that.

Bama fan here. I love seeing Hurts play again. As much as I'd love to see Tua win the Heisman, if Hurts wins it I'll be just as happy.
I came for the Jalen highlights, Bama fan here too!! I'm learning some of the OU offense after 2 games though.
