Great tips for 1st timers! I've sailed Carnival twice before with both times on the Triumph;just sailed RC "Harmony of the Seas" and they had the "SeaPass" card which you had to use for the cabin lights BUT, we also found out from guest services that ANY type of credit card or hotel key card will work!! We used the hotel key card we'd stayed the night before the cruise! This worked better because we never had to remove the card from the slot and just had to push on and off light switch....like you would normally!
Tawanna Weathersby my daughters just came off Harmony. They also have waterproof wrist bands that look like watches to scan everything just like the Sea Pass. They had a great cruise! And are still healthy lol

The Red Frog Pub was my favorite too. I like the Piano Bar & Comedy Club also. Spent alot of time on Deck 5.
A lot of frequent cruisers do call a cruise ship a "boat", rather than "ship".
tip number one is a must...Another major tip is to bring your birth certificate or passport. I forgot mine at home and I almost didn't get on. They let my relatives back home take a picture of it and send it. Thank god I left a spare key to my home with a family member.

I went in December 2017 it was a blast
We were on Carnival Breeze last January for the Eastern Caribbean cruise will be on her again this coming January for the western Caribbean cruise. Love the Breeze. PS she is a 130,000 ton ship not a boat!
You can bring wine on the ship. 1 bottle each. As a cruise critic you should know that. Been on 3 carnival ships and do it every time.
For you people that never been on the Carnival Breeze, I tell you, your gonna absolutely love it, the first time I been on the Carnival Breeze in 2016 I absolutely loved it..everybody was nice and friendly and I was talking to a whole lot of people on there, and I went on it again earlier this year and it was almost pretty much the same even though I didn't talk to as much people like I did the first time I was on the ship, and I'm fixing to go again next year in 2018 ..I'm so anxious for it! Take my word, you'll love it :-D

Yup, I took a piece off of one of the many hand outs. Of course, it's a conservation thing, so when my husband and I left the cabin we did take it out (also so the steward wouldn't take it on us).

Thanks Kyle! Congrats on your cruise. It's really allot of fun. To answer your question, Carnival has recently changed their policy and doesn't allow bottled watter brought onboard any longer. You can purchase it though and have it waiting in your cabin. It's $4.50 per 12 pack. Not terrible. For the wine yes you can bring one bottle 750 ml per person. If you take it to dinner there is a $15. corkage fee.
Hi Mike. Thanks for making this great video. I'm about to take my first cruise on the Breeze, and my wife uses a wheelchair. Can you offer any tips about how to get around the ship in a wheelchair?
Thanks for your comment and yes. Please feel at ease because this will not be a problem for either of you. There are lots of elevators throughout the ship and you will see others with wheelchairs also. She won't miss out on anything and there is no place on the boat that she can't go. My only tip would be this.. In front of most all elevators is a map of the ship. Might want to look it over and plan the shortest route. I would tell everyone that. It worked for me. I hope you have a wonderful cruise!! It's a beautiful ship and everyone is friendly.
I think each SHIP has an accessibility coordinator. Tell them often whatever she needs.
re: cellphone plans. I am not aware of ANY provider in Canada or the US that has a plan for cruise ships. Some providers have recently disabled data usage while on a cruise ship to try and reduce bill shock.
I know this is a few years old but you can bring wine now right?

Honestly so far.. Carnival
We have traveled on Royal Caribbean Oasis of the Seas...Disney Fantasy...Carnival Magic....All the ships were comparable when it came to food/room...Disney was amazing but $$$$...We were very disappointed by Royal Caribbean Oasis of the Seas..sadly it was just okay but for the $ it should have been comparable to Disney. The Ship was unbelievably magnificent but as for customer service/excursions and overall fun it was at the bottom of the cruises we have been on...Carnival overall was good bang for our buck, customer service/excursions and overall fun was great! Planning on going on another Carnival Cruise..looks like the Breeze as we have heard rumors the Dr. Rev E is the cruise director on that ship now! We love love love that man..who else could make the safety speeches interesting and funny! I actually remember more of what he said because he made it a bit comical which made it memorable! We also heard The Breeze was remodeled in early 2018 and is now sailing out of Cape Canaveral Florida! Looks like an early December or Christmas cruise for us in 2019! Carnival Rocks!

Understood and yes totally agree.. Thank you. More recently here's the problem, when I use the word "ship" evidently the CZcams scanning software is mistaking it to be another very similar word that is in poor taste and automatically flags the video as not appropriate. This has happened repeatedly. I've stop using the word ship and it seems to be working. I'm not sure if it's my accent or what but it's been very annoying. I certainly do apologize for any misunderstanding and mean no disrespect. I will continue to work toward a better solution. Thank you for your comment.
Ship, boat what ever. I was in the navy and stationed aboard a aircraft carrier. We lovingly referred to her as a boat . :)

Are some months better to cruise then others?
Some months do have cheaper rates but the Caribbean is always warm. However seems like the fall months have more chance of rain.
