Where do you guys usually buy your groceries at?
Singapore, only if i happen to go malaysia then maybe buy the stuffs at there
JB
take from office pantry and fridge
have to agree if we were to go by exchange rate it will be cheaper. but you guys need to take in factor about the time spent traveling to there and any extra costs(parking and toll fees).
JB. Beyond what’s available in the supermarkets, the wet markets, florists etc there just offer so much more value. I find I spend less in JB on a weekend than in sg (even after accounting for hotel costs).
Former Maggi staff here. I can guarantee you the Maggi is exactly the same. One got 11 one got 12 spices because Singapore doesn't recognise something as a spice. Pepper if I'm not mistaken (it's been years). Also... The blue capped water is natural mineral water (of course not Evian level lah ya) while the white one is reverse osmosis drinking water. That's why you guys preferred the blue one.
For bottle water in Malaysia, the blue cap is mineral water and white cap is drinking water.
If Spritzer brand, green cap is mineral water and white cap is distilled water/drinking water.
watching this is making me feel blessed as a sgrean and sad for msians who earn and pay in RM. (if you don't convert to sgd, you'll realize it's really expensive to buy daily essentials in Msia) They bought the same stuff but John paid almost 2x lower than Jewel who did her shopping in jb.
As a Malaysian I agree, people always say Singapore is expensive, but that's because they convert their money to SGD, but in reality, you can fill up a whole trolley with 100 SGD. In Malaysia, RM100 can only buy you less than 10 items.
Don’t be sad for them. For those msians who work in sg, they retire earlier and enjoy lives back in the home country Msia whereas we hustle hard in sg due to the cost of living.
I'm grateful to be Malaysian where I don't have to pay 1 million sgd for a small pathetic hdb and ride a bus everyday.
@@shukriramleecongrats on living in a place where everything has little to no value including the people😂
@@freeyoutube-hr8sf There is no such value for people who are paying taxes for their 1 million ministers salaries. Enjoy your 10% gst next year 🫰😆.
it's very depressing how our cereal box have shrunken so much in size and the price went up so much.
white cap means the water in the bottle was processed and the blue cap means the water has been collected from a spring.green cap means flavour has been added to the water.so the water taste different.
OHHH….
You should have mentioned the weight of each item in order to have a fair comparison on the price.
Not surprising that Malaysian produced goods are cheaper when bought in Malaysia. However, Singaporeans got more purchasing power than Malaysians when buying imported goods.
I disagree. Msia population is 36m. Sg is 6m. They have max 6times of purchasing power. This is why the movie in SG wont produce high box office as u would expect. Even u x 3.5 the population of 6m u still get half of msia populations market
@@mdavidtan Purchasing power refers to how much one can buy with their money. Average salary of Malaysian is RM 4,000 which is about SG 1,142. Singapore's average salary is SG 5,783. Malaysia has 5 times less purchasing power than Singapore especially when it comes to imported goods.
@@KeoNzRelatively, a single Malaysian can live quite modestly in KL with RM4000 a month. A single Singaporean will have difficulty surviving with SG1142 - I reckon, it doesn't even cover housing rental or mortgage. Please correct me if I'm wrong. I'm retired, in my 60's and my monthly livelihood is around RM3000 a month with spouse. That includes everything including 5G internet, health insurance and dining outside. I own my house (bungalow with 4bdrooms and land big enough to plant many fruit trees) and two cars, so no expenses there. Bought them all with my puny Malaysian salary long time ago. One more thing, my husband is a foreigner, so we do spend on imported goods like cheese etc..
@@whoshere767 I'm not really sure what's your point. Of course a single Singaporean will have difficulty surviving with SG 1142, this is why Singapore's average salary is 5,788 and not SG 1142?
@@KeoNzThe point is Malaysian items are more expensive in Singapore. Imported goods are the same if not cheaper in Malaysia. Not denying average income per person where Singapore is higher, taking income constant that just means buying in Malaysia is cheaper hence more purchasing power. And the point whoshere shows clearly that she is able to live in bungalow with 2 cars with her middle income, and an above average Singaporean income earner can’t do that.
great content, hope to see more, maybe more episodes of these ❤
Next need to compare valu$ to our local supermarket. Like I will always buy my cadbury from valu$ because cheaper.
I think mothership did that video
Yea valu$ has the merba cookies i like
FYI, Nestle products in Malaysia are manufactured in Rembau, Negeri Sembilan. The label on packaging is manufactured for the Company.
What a day to release thr video !
Man this is really FUNNY! you got a new sub !
there are differences in everything in every country 😂
Nice one producer who thought of this idea.
Aren't alot of things imported fr Msia
I think the blue cap bottle is Mineral water while the white cap bottle is either reverse osmosis water or filtered water. hence different in taste.
The water taste duff because white cap is drinking water might be RO. Blue cap is usually mineral water (underground) if not mistaken. And the mama & pama maggi we have both in msia just sometimes certain supermarket don't carry either one
Not worth it to go JB just to get groceries unless you stay near the checkpoint.
Hello, I love watching your amazing series, the groceries in Malaysia are cheaper than in Singapore. 😊 I love travelling in Malaysia. 💜
ok lah.. in general.. if u dont hiam about the taste and all malaysia ones or the cheaper ones is also good! n is CHEAPER then SG!
Crazy, go in 17.3 km.... Go ksl can already
city square can alr
City square and the surrounding 3 km dont have any groceries stores which will appeal to sillyporean.
Can you imagine.... The msian in Singapore got pay increment just because of the exchange rate? It was 2.8x and now 3.5x. say earn 2k= 5.6k ringgit, now 7k ringgit. That's 1.4k more, auto promotion. Doing the same thing over the past 2 years without office promotion, but could send home more. If im msian, i also wanna come.
There's an error in the labeling on the screen for Singapore's Ah Huat coffee for the weight per pack I think. Unless you stay near the checkpoint, and have all the time in the world and has a car, who would go into JB to just buy groceries.
Waiting for RTS Link, then I will
People go partly for fun. For cheaper massages, facials and yummy food etc. And partly stop and buy some groceries with more significant price differentials.
@livinforlessinsingapore3601 yes is overall. Won't purposely go in to do grocery shopping. Well perhaps when I'm retired and have all thr time in the world.
🎉🎉MILO🎉🎉 I love the Singapore version❤️🫶🏻
Super funny pls make more 😆
Bro forgot abt there's a value shop in Singapore ..
All goods should cost the same initially if come from same production in Malaysia. The price difference is probably the sales/gst/import tax from Singapore, the logistic cost to move into Singapore, higher rental for the retail store and probably higher wages for the labour in Singapore and probably a good enough profit margin that Singapore retail operator requires in order to be profitable for its capital invested.
Must take weight of product into consideration also.. although same place of manufacturing, some ingredients not approved in singapore
Famous amos and Aunty Annie's confirm different in Singapore and Malaysia.
They are same taste because The products are made in Malaysia. imported overseas confirm more expensive. Good content tho
Aeon is not cheap, should go 99 speed or superstores or local market more cheaper a lot .
So how to tell the difference between
Used to buy in Malaysia but i realize now shopee supermarket offer very competitive price too
So i stop going to Malaysia already

SG isnt a big market so the pricing wont be way lower to import in
Sometimes it all voice down to convenience. When the SG/MY MRT is up, more ppl will go buy groceries.
Better buy in singapore waste your time to Q the immigration..and the total cost is theysame..in singapore your safe in malaysia how if your car no tyre when you comeback the car park 😂
You’re not your. Good lord man. What were you doing in English class? Sleeping with the eyes open?
I nearly faint when i able to see the guy smoke so much his teeth. HAHAHHA
I think jb and singapore are about the same when it came to shopping for clothes and snack
Lesson learnt. If gonna film, safer to ask for permission before hand. Or at the very least be more discreet & don’t attract attention to yourself 😂
Worth while if one drives.
This is a false comparison though? Why go to Aeon Big instead of Giant as well? JB got 5 Giant Hypermarket what?
So the price gap less not so drastic
@@liberaltart7531 so it’s just to fit the narrative and not actually a genuine comparison then? Let me tall ya I never buy my groceries in Aeon Big. That defo for atas people.
i love SG milo than MY.... rela bawa balik milo SG to BWM
In conclusion.. just buy in Singapore
how about petrol? 😂 i hope u do get your petrol in sg 🤪
Why you assume I drive cutthroat overpriced SG car 🤔
I liked yr vid abt bbt
😮watered down coffee and pay more in terms of ringgit
Jewel is in Changi airport
You guys 💕 junk food ⁉️😂
It's the same, rm3 in malaysia & it's sgd3 in Singapore. See it's the same 3=3 😂
Okurrrr
Kinda wish it was blind test but o well..
DO MORE JB VS SG COMPARISON
Kuchi miaomiao 😂
Use cdc voucher Sg best already.
Singaporeans should just buy their groceries at NTUC Fair price. Please don't come to JB.
what's with d 吴孟达 look john?
All the same lah 💰 not same lah
Intrigued by title n thumbnail but disappointed by acting & script. Zzz 5mins that I can never get back

TSL really good at bootlicking 🤦♂️
Just curious, sanitary pads these days are so big they can wrap your iPad. Or are they diapers?
HAHAHAHA SG WATER COME FROM MSIA SO REAL 😂
Water comes from God. It rains occasionally in SG as well, sustaining its reservoirs.
Malaysia food safety standards are not up to par. I choose not to risk the health and safety of my loved ones to be cheap.
Duck eggs for noodles and flat white rice ones
and pig blood
make all the difference.
I love the duck eggs noodles 😊@@tantangpenn5496
