I love Erik, him and Buggs are the best, BUT Ryan had plenty of time left with Erik. Fully going solo is a big step from doing side jobs. There's a lot more than just being good on concrete. Plus as we saw Erik still thinks vertical mean right and left so we got time.
Its easy to be an Allstar when you have a boss/Ryan keeping things running. It's a different story when you are the boss and have to be good with concrete AND keep things running.

Every time I see Ryan's mom on Best Mom Monday, I think of the Fairy Godmother from Cinderella. She showing up with the magic food and making dreams come true! Eric stuffing his pockets with those magic cookies. So great to see a team working well together. A tough job, but focus, a can do attitude, and keeping moving get it done. Also Autumn looking at Ryan at 45:00, "I love my dad". This is such a great channel!
Hey Ryan, as a former concrete truck driver, I think the reason why the concrete was setting up quicker than your last job (that had the same mix) is due to the distance the concrete had to be delivered.. You did state that you're working further than you normally do and if the barrel on the concrete truck isn't spinning faster than normal (because of the longer distance to drive) then it will have an effect on the concrete.. Just a thought..

Min 30-40 minutes is a decently long trek from his house not counting the length from the plant either
Correct, I used to work on 700-900 yard PT deck pours, two trucks in the hopper, 18 yds every 12 minutes, one pour the pump truck blew like 3 hydraulic hoses, spewed 20 gallons of fluid on the street, panic insues as in twenty minutes there was six trucks circling the block, soon it was ten trucks, another pump on the way, ended up Garbro bucketing over a 100 yards with the crane, had four guys with vibrators stirring the stiffest mud I've ever seen, ended up being a 13 hr day, the finishers almost had to be carried down the stairwell
Concrete plants should allow for travel time. Also what happens to the material if stuck in traffic because of an accident?
Tino may be a few minutes late and around the corner, but when it’s time to work he gets it done. 💪🏽

You can tell Eric is getting more and more confident.. Ryan mentioned he couldn’t get the hydraulic hose hookup on LAST YEAR. You have no idea how good it feels after you start something yourself, then complete it. He still struggled but the job got done. That’s called being a good boss. Hats off to you Ryan on how you treat employees, and how you manage to bring respect everyday and stick to your core values as a person. Takes a lot to be a good person out of AND at work. Ryan, my buddy who has been a concrete guy forever uses one of those big long bristle brushes like they use for cement paint to spread color release.. It spreads it out really nice, and your hands stay pretty clean, and no clumps.
also in a burlap bag and u shake it covers everything evenly. Just have to do it as u go! Works great

As long as bugs stays in motion and working the way he does, I see no problem with him working til he's 80+ just like my grandpa still does to this day. 82 and is a cattle farmer and works 6 days a week every week

I do that. Found some shortcuts being taken or the way it was done did not look right to me. These were on framing, electrical, plumbing and insulating. Concrete guys are usually good.
Customers have every right to watch (especially on their property) so too bad if it's annoying.

Does scaling come from salt or ice sitting on the cement for a long time? My driveway has some but I noticed most of it is where a layer of ice stays in the shadow of the fence so it also gets salted a little more.
I think it's from captured moisure under the surface and once it freezes it pops the top layer right off.
