- It's been a while! Let's explore a bit of Grand Cayman together! In this video, I want to show you all of the new construction happening all up & down West Bay Road, from the Kimpton Seafire Resort all the way to the South Sound Boardwalk! We will also stop along the way to take a look at the record-breaking amounts of sargassum that has washed ashore both in West Bay and in South Sound.

Hi Jasmine! How is the seaweed problem now along the seven mile beach and wyndham reef resort area? Is the water as clear at the wyndham too like along the seven mile beach?

If you want the experience that Grand Cayman used to give - quiet, not over-developed, untouched beaches, etc... I would highly recommend giving Cayman Brac a visit!! It's so stunning there! Maybe next time I come here I will try to take a few days in the Brac to show it off. I just LOVE it there!

Hey I’m moving to grand cayman Monday from Canada for work. Was wondering if you had any advice.
Hi Jasmine going to Cayman next July 🤞I know sargassum is affecting so many countries is terrible 😞 I just came back from Turks and I didn’t see any sargassum in the area I was staying, hopefully will be the same in Cayman . Well wishes from NY
Yes, there are so many places seeing this issue now. It's really sad! Luckily Cayman is small, so beach cleanups don't take too long, and as you may know, sargassum tends to come in "waves." With some luck, you will catch a sargassum-free window on your trip! If you stay on 7 Mile Beach, it's usually not as bad there anyways :)

Hi Jasmine, and thanks for the "Sarcasm" update.. lol. I'll be there on Saturday.. how bad is the sargassum in the East End? Is Rum Point closed closed because of the seaweed?
Hey there, sorry for the delayed response! Hope you've enjoyed your time on the island! I'm not sure how quickly they'd have been able to clear everything up, but my advice is always to just roll with whatever is happening, adventure around, find new beaches and spots to explore. @@JasmineDreams hey just got back last night.. I went to 7 mile a couple of times... my favorite location was by the Ritz.. oddly I enjoyed learning the round about system of traffic. See you next time

It's definitely a shock to see it all happening at once! Very sad indeed, for those of us who remember what Cayman was like 10+... heck, even 5 years ago
