I'm really glad Edna finally found true love before she died. This final HA! is a beautiful goodbye to her.
How did she die??
@@SillyLilDawg Well her voice actor died, which meant she had to die. Its never specifically stated, but it is implied that Homer got her killed just like Maude.
@@Eco-pu2zs I was told on Simpsons wiki Homer killing her isn’t canon
I thought she and Skinner were together. It’s been years since I’ve watched the Simpsons so they could’ve broken up. I didn’t want to watch the newer seasons because I heard they’re not good
@@SillyLilDawgthe producers did not want to get a new VA for her
Okay but, i never thought that Nelson saying how he misses his teacher would hit me so hard.
I think the saying is true you don’t know what you have until it’s gone. Do you remember the first time we saw edna.... lol my god I thought she was insane turns out she was just a hurt soul who was misunderstood
Poor Flanders can never get a break with women!!! :(
It’s a cartoon. Relax.
Justin and if you had a show you be like aiajsmsienssjjsnsjsjsjs omg
You think Flanders has this problem, you should see Grampa.
Still don't know her cause of death
@@corduerorose9747
Who wants to be Homer was involved?
As Bart once wrote on the black board "We'll really miss you Miss K"
That was sad
And we do. We really, really do.
That gave me tears.
And he literally wrote it once. It was the only time in the history of the opening gag that the phrase written on the chalkboard wasn't repeated as though it were an after school punishment. Bart was writing from the heart here.
Sad
It really is sad.. I really started liking Edna and Ned pairing!! I wishes their more scene from it..
how she died i what episode and season ?
@@devill2312 the actress died so she just kinda disappeared
@@devill2312 they didn't say, because the actress dies so Edna dies with Wallace. I think there would've been more involved if it weren't for the sudden death.
There was no clear cut cause though the fan theory it may have been Homer's fault.
@@KingFrog13. she didn’t disappear she died
This had to be one of the cruelest twists in the show, and it wasn't even one they were planning to do. Edna's love life finally stopped being shitty, Ned was able to get a second chance at love, the staff let the viewerbase vote to decide their fate with overwhelming support...and then not even three years later death parts them after Marcia's passing the year prior resulted in Edna's retirement.
I remember that, and they were going to announce it in the next season. But they “didn’t” they instead showed a scene of Flanders and Edna sleeping in the same bed and her giving a wink. Showing they are together.
Yeah, it's even more dumb when you get passed the fact this is a cartoon and was completing unnecessary because you could get a new voice actress, and any talk of honoring a person or character by killing them off is very autistic artist logic.
@@KorrinBeck I think you're viewing it entirely too cynically and terribly unfeelingly.
@@SlyGuy919 Lol and I know you're not using sense or logic with that response, just finking wif your wittle feewings. It's fine to replace voice actors like Justin Roiland after not doing anything, but if someone real dies, oh no! Now they're character is dead! If you don't see what's wrong with that, go back and finish high school properly.
@@KorrinBeck This strikes me as an issue that has really been bugging you.
10 years later and we still miss that laugh
Yeah
Yeah I know
I'm glad they put nelson in there, the relationship they teased with her and him felt wholesome. Like she hated how he was but understood he came from something broken.
After Marcia Wallace died earlier in the 25th season of “The Simpsons”, she was not replaced by another actress, but instead the producers decided to have the character of Edna Krabappel retired.
Right in the feels. RIP.
Edna was one of my personal favorite side characters in The Simpsons, she had a devotion to teaching even when the material wasn’t there. What I enjoyed most about her was the bond she had with Bart, it was something I always loved because she showed another side of Bart we didn’t get too see as often, compassion and kindness. They were both good influences on each other.
Funnily enough I’m actually watching the Simpsons show for the first time, I made it too season 21 before I was hit with this spoiler... unfortunate my luck ran out when I finally got the chance to watch the full series.
I will continue however and see how this story turns out, because in my opinion the later seasons still have their moments.
I’m on season 21 too
That spoiler hit me hard
@@hadeslovescoffee8913 you still enjoying the show despite this spoiler?
I’m on season 23 now and it’s still fairly good in my opinion, sometimes even great.
I am, I mean... not the way I used to but I’m trying so I can proudly say I’ve watched every single season.
@@hadeslovescoffee8913 yeah, same here. My first time ever learning about the simpsons was when I watched the movie when it came out on DVD. Only characters I knew were just the core Simpsons family and stupid Flanders.
But thankfully watching the show has given me insight into the other characters and the lives they live. It’s also showing me that aside from Homer and Marge, most relationships don’t last long.
Case in point Edna and Skinner, they had something good going, and Principal Skinrash screwed up because he had more commitments to his mother then his lover. I dunno it’s just something sad about the show, most relationships either end in a partner like Maude dying accidentally, or splitting up because of an indifference like Edna and Skinner. I especially feel bad for Moe since despite his perverted nature towards Marge, he’s deep down a good guy with genuine heart, even getting good relationship advice from Homer on occasion.
*What would you say is your favorite thing about the show?* Personally my favorite thing is Marge and Homers relationship. And how they can go through even the hardest circumstances/misunderstandings somehow manage too bounce back into each others arms.
Now without Edna, Bart's a hollow shell of his former self
It should be titled her VA"s final speaking appearance. Edna has still made appearances in ghostly form or in flashbacks. Other times they used Marcia Wallace's sound bites from earlier episodes
R.I.P. Marcia Wallace (1942-2013.)
Love as he says “Sure we’ll do miss that laugh” he speaks about the voice-actress Marcia W.
Marcia Wallace will never be forgotten. She was also a game show pioneer and she is with Tom Kennedy and the rest of the guys.
I still watch this show and her death still hurts.
It sure does. And I'm scared that Flanders and Marge are next, 'cause they're already in their 70s. Mrs. Skinner is gonna turn 70 this summer as well.
That's why I stopped watching
We all miss her Ned, Nelson.
It's lovely that Edna got to be happy in her final years
I really feel sorry for ned flanders. Even though he isn't real, he's the one who tries to be the most kind of any other simpsons characters but keeps ending up with bad luck and treated like shit
This is a great example of why this show will always be the best. It can make you emotional. Edna found love, even Nelson was crushed, and Ned lost two.
My boy Ned didn't deserved this sadness. 😭😭
rest i peace Edna Krapabel, we miss you for ever
I’m scared that we’re gonna lose Harry Shearer(Ned), Julie Kavner(Marge) or even Tress MacNeille(Dolph) next. ‘Cause they get the worst of it alongside Yeardley Smith(Lisa).
What could happen to them?
@Leandro M. Anything. Cancer, car accident, etc.
@@dannythomas417 why do they get the worst of it? I didn't understand this part...
Are they going through rough times or something?
@Leandro M. They’re getting old, which really sucks. I mean they keep making shitty Lisa episodes while using Tress MacNeille to voice these annoying bitches like Shauna and Mrs. Skinner. Believe me, I love Tress with all my heart, but she can’t bring the show back to save her life.
@@dannythomas417 I don't like the Lisa episodes too. About them getting old, I get it... this show is being milked for a million years now, time is passing fast...
Poor Ned he lost both of his wives.
Stopped watching newer episodes of the simpsons a while ago. Although, I am currently rewatching every simpsons episode on Disney plus. Im on season 18. Today I found out edna died from a random CZcams recommend video. I had noooo clue!!!!!
The actress died so they decided to kill the character too.
@@TheAutisticBrony crazy. Yeah I had no clue that happened.
me neither
Dam im on season 5
I miss her too Nelson. 😔
And I will miss Nancy Cartwright if she dies too. She does a better job as Nelson than Bart, Ralph and Kearney.
Rip Marcia Wallace
No, see the new episode were tod dosent believe in God and then she is in heaven
It’s the last time we heard her talk
@@JoelGifted720 yeah in to tod why can't you forsaken me you see her say HA

How'd you catch that one? FOX played a rain delayed Nascar event and skipped the episode...
@@JABS991 It's on Hulu now
Edna eres una de los mejores personajes de los simpson. Te recordaremos gran maestra.
Hard to believe it'll soon be the 10th anniversary of Marcia Wallaces passing. Still remember seeing the news during dinner, was well gutted
I just watched that episode a couple of days ago, It's so weird that they didn't even put a RIP message at the end! I had to google it to figure out what happened!
The actors of this animation are passing away first than the show itself..
Especially Tress MacNeille, ‘cause they keep using her to voice all these annoying bitches like Skinner’s mother and Chalmers’ daughter. Not to mention she worked on Futurama and Disenchantment. So in my opinion, her death is the only way this show is ever gonna end. ‘Cause she’s irreplaceable and we all know that. I’ll admit I’m crazy and delusional, but I know what they’re doing to these people.
Yeah, and it's a wonder why they keep milking this cash cow bone dry for all it's worth after all this time, after the show clearly ran it's course, and served it's purpose well over a decade ago? Obviously the voice actors aren't going to live forever, and something is going to have to eventually give one way or another soon!
Once one of the main voice actors passes away, the show is done for.
I mean, they had to retire a great character like Edna because Marcia Wallace passed away, so I don't think they'll all be like "well, I guess we can replace Marge".
@@BassiKun99 Yeah, Julie Kavner's voice is just downright awful. Yet, the person who'd replace her would have some giant-ass shoes to fill. Especially if that woman is either Tress Macneille or Pamela Hayden. Since the shit era started around '98-'99, Tress has been the primary voice for the women with Pamela as her backup. The latter even voiced Patty & Selma once in a flashback all the way back in season 2. Since then, it's all Julie.
I stopped watching after season 20, I didn't know her character was dead.
I still think they should have left her with Principal Skinner, they really were a power couple to me.
Yup! When Marcia Wallace died, they opted to have her die off-screen as well instead of replacing the VA.
I was going to say the same thing. Its a shame really.
In Loving Memory Mrs. Krabappel
May she rest in peace :(
I hope Ned finds someone else(that stays alive) like they did for Moe.
Not anymore. She was in “Diary Queen” the other night, an episode that _really_ wasn’t worth the wait.
Ned’s life is so depressing. They finally give him new love and then they have to take it away.
It's his own fault though, he chose to live an incredibly repressed religious life and this is what he gets for it.
WOW STAB ME IN THE HEART PERHAPS
I wasn’t prepared when I first saw this I teared up a bit
I ain't gonna lament your death Marcia Wallace or give a depressing "RIP, miss you so much" etc.
Instead, I'm gonna say, "Thank you for 24 years of great work. I'm glad I was there from beginning to end and I'm gonna watch it all over again. Grateful for the memories!"
it's been 8 years but Istill miss Edna & feel bad for NED .
Nelson couldn't resist with the laugh bit as Ned brought it up but then goes fully sincere about missing her too.
Rest in peace, Marica Wallace.
Somehow Nelson being sincerely sad is the saddest part for me
I stopped watching the Simpsons years ago, not for any reason I just stopped because I stopped watching television so I did not know Edna/Marcia Wallace died until right now. That's quite sad to be honest, she wasn't my favorite character but I did enjoy seeing her interact with Bart, Seymour, and Ned.
I remember this episode.
Which episode?
@@nickramon4114 Season 25 episode 12. It’s the last few minutes of the episode.
@@Fi_Sci_ The Man Who Grew Too Much.
@@bradyanderson6311 I was describing it in the numerical sense rather then just *thee* title.
@@Fi_Sci_ it's rather "than". Fox messed with us big time between airing this.
Edna was one of my favorite characters too😥🤧
Never knew she died, but the voice actress passing away explains it which i also never knew until now. RIP
RIP Marcia Wallace and Edna Krabappel-Flanders
I quit watching the show before that happened and have never watched the later seasons enough to find out about this…
I loved that moment at the end, where Nelson and Flanders mourned her together.
They were literally so perfect for each other...
My man Ned doesn't deserve this pain
Wow... That .... I have no words... 😢😭
Never thought Nelson would say those words.
The relationship with Ned is wholesome. He needed someone after the tragic events and she was very lonely. Both deserved themselves.
Marcia Wallace won an Emmy for playing Edna Krabappel in 1992.
This is the 25th season of Marcia Wallace, which played edna krabapple, who passed away in 2013
Edna's gone, Apu's gone, Lionel Hutz and Troy McClure are gone, most of the original writers are gone. The show is dead, even if they keep making new seasons for the next hundred years.
yeah it's like they lost an appendix, then a kidney, then most of their liver, then a lung, the balls were taken long ago, and I'm pretty sure they lost a foot or two to diabeties.
The Simpsons is alive as a technicality.
How is Apu gone? Did he die or something?
When did Apu die he was alive almost at the end of season 31
@@themaskedguy8543 He's not dead, just cancelled thanks to SJW BS
@@themaskedguy8543 He doesn't get lines anymore because Hank Azaria got shit for voicing him and he couldn't do that to himself anymore. The sad part about this is the fact that he didn't get called anything by Indian people. A lof of them spoke in favour of the character and took into consideration that everybody is a huge sterotype, I mean Dan Castellaneta doesn't get shit for voicing Willie even though he's not scottish.
But I have after a long time started to watch the Simpsons again and the new Episodes aren't as consistently good, but they still have some absolutly amazing ones and aside from a few (I don't need the 500th version of Marge and Homer having marriage problems that they had over and over again.) they are at least entertaining.
Nelson's way of showing his respect is giving his signature "ha ha",
I love how these shows that live to make fun of everyone, and everything always pay tribute to there actors when they die.
I was never aware she we gone until 2 season later

The school scenes never felt the same after this, she was vital in those scenes. That classroom was hers and only hers
God, has it really been 10 years already? :(
Nelson just had to keep her memory alive, but he has to face reality as well.
It’s been ten years surely I thought it would like 4 but ten!!!!WOW

She even says something brand new than reusing lines in Diary Queen
I don’t watch the simpsons too often than family guy, but the reason to why we get to see her the last time bcuz her perspective voice actress tragically passed away, is that right?
Weird how characters die but Maggie never ages
Even through that, Ned still not hates Homer even if he killed two of his wives by accident
