Incremental Transtower - Hüttinger x John Edmark

Turn the crank and watch the beauty of math as the tower starts spinning. The transformations in this tower result from incremental drift, wherein each layer rotates slightly faster than the layer beneath it. There are 32 layers, so the top layer must make 32 complete revolutions before the tower returns to the same state.
In geometry, the golden angle is the smaller of the two angles created by sectioning the circumference of a circle according to the golden ratio; that is, into two arcs such that the ratio of the length of the smaller arc to the length of the larger arc is the same as the ratio of the length of the larger arc to the full circumference of the circle.
