Synopsis:
LAMHE is the story of moments, moments of passion... moments of ecstasy... moments of love moments that change lives.
When the young Viren (Anil Kapoor - Slumdog Millionaire & 24) comes to India for the first time, he is captivated by Pallavi (Sridevi).
When he learns she is already spoken for, he returns to London a broken man.

The Santoor piece we hear in this song is played by Shri SK Sharma Ji and the flute piece by Chaurasia ji - the composers of this song Shiv Hari. The saxophone piece towards the end is played by late Shri Manohri Singh. My eyes well up when I see such songs picturised on Anil and Sri ji. Thanks for the memories and working with me Sri Ji. Lamhe (1991) Bombed at box office and was huge disappointment but it was brave movie, the best of Yash Chopra, 10 years ahead than time that's why the 70% of public in 1991 couldn't understand, had it released in 2000-2005 it would have been superhit. But then who remembers hit movies its life span of movie that is remembered and Lamhe is eternal. Anil Kapoor at 35 played role of first 22 year old and then 45 year old who had to romance with an elderly lady a 25 year Sri Devi and the her daughter a 20 year old both of them were risky but Anil was very brave... for Sridevi she was top class and how can i forget Wahida ji
Lamhe clashed with Ajay Devgan phool aur kante. And that time the audience was more interested in college romance than the classic romance. People couldn't digest this type of love back then so Lamhe bombed at the box office. But Sridevi's performance was praised and received awards also.

@@naveenmalik9481 Sometimes, movies are made ahead of its time. 30 years back, the story of this movie was not acceptable by the people. But now, society is changing. Today these things are quite common. So many celebrities have also proved this like Neha Kakkar and Rohanpreet, who is 6 years younger than Neha. So, I don't care about it's box office result. I just believe that it's a beautiful movie. A number of people known to me also find it too good. Even Anil Kapoor Sir says in his interviews that Lamhe is his most underrated film but he is happy that at least nowadays people love that Film. He has even said that so many people call him and apologize for criticising Lamhe in 1991 but now, even those critics feel that it's a good movie. I advise you that you should watch it atleast for one time. Also Sridevi Mam had won Filmfare award for the best actress for this film. And if you have already watched it and don't like it, then your opinion is not the majority one.

She was a kind of little chocolate girl, very chubby, but still good in serious roles. We can see that the character she played in films
was chubby cute looks living a serious phase of life. An innocent woman with hardships everywhere. Although she died earlier, she is still alive in our hearts. Okie to be honest i was just a kid when this movie was released i remember watching it On VCR but I didn't get the meaning of it at that time but nOw m 35 and just watched it this weekend on Amazon Prime and i was like Wow, such expressions by Sridevi Ma'am its just beyond words to describe it. But one thing for sure i do from this movie. Its love is beyond Generations. Why should there be a generation gap ? It's just a pious relation from heart to another soul.
