- In this video, I will react and review the sixth episode of Total Drama Island Reboot Season 2! This episode, "Canoe Believe It" is where we finally have reached the merge which I thought was early! MK finally gets exposed for cheating meanwhile Priya and Caleb connect more than ever! In the end we end up with an elimination that left me confused, overall I think this was a very solid epsiode and it gets a 7.5/10!

Yes i love it, the alliances, the drama that is coming too, i hope damien does final 3, also raj and zee, i bet damien wayne and mk, mk will be the second last eliminated bc of course julia is getting to much of the antagonist role, chris will eliminate her after getting tired of her cheating, unlike harold or maybe mal, which didnt get caught, wayne winning wouldnt make sense, bc he will never have kids, damien is winning, still nothing that he is involved, if there is next time, maybe there will be a chance in my list

Don't forget that Bowie had the biggest target on his back from episode 1 of this season. So the campers would obviously see him as a bigger threat than MK.

Plus Chris was making the game way harder for MK this ep so they probably didn't see her as a threat at the moment
They should have used that as the main excuse instead of “haha tricked them off camera again.” Like- one other small confessional (likely from Priya) saying she didn’t believe Julia but Bowie was more of a threat would’ve done it.
but thats not exactly why the campers voted him anyways. i would totally get if they still built that up n got him out but after the first episode there weren't any personal grudges against him (i mean from the other team, so much that once they merged theyd wanna vote him out) instead the fact that he got most of the blame for the cheating (considering they already found out mk was cheating) was what got him out, i guess they didnt see much more potential for him/his character so he became this episodes boot

I feel like we need more than 22 minutes, if the episodes were longer we could see the moments when Julia write that fake contract to Nichelle or interact with the rat faces for eliminate Bowie
It was odd that Damien suddenly felt like he needed immunity, I mean there was literally no one targeting him, in fact there were 6 other more likely targets, Damien wasn't on anyone's radar. Don't get me wrong I'm glad Damien won a challenge, but it definitely felt strange for Damien to think he needed immunity, if anything it has me worried because it feels like something the show would do; give the fan favorite character a big win the episode before they are eliminated, I hope I'm wrong and Damien makes it to the Final 4.
It's just Damien thinks that it's not the way he wants to win, he wants to show that he is capable of winning. He wants to win by being strong, not being hidden or scared that ofter

It's so interesting you mention wanting more Damien and Wayne screentime together, I feel like they would be perfect final two pairing. The duo are polar opposites: Wayne is outgoing and energetic while Damien is calculative and is book smart. Both are good at the challenges in their own ways.
I think they realized they had to many main characters left who all needed to at least make it to merge/couldn't think of a good reason to eliminate on the skunk butts and not wanting rat faces to lose 4 times in a row caused them to merge this early
Is it bad that I think Julia will try to Manipulate Raj and Wayne against each other. For Example: "Hey Raj, I am pretty sure Wayne voted Bowie out, Blah Blah Blah"
"No it can't be, there's no way Wayne would do that, Blah Blah Blah".
It would be an interesting way to get one of them eliminated even tho I hope it doesn't happen I also kind of hope it does you know.

I have a feeling many, if not ALL, of the Rat Faces would have voted for Bowie. We’ve seen a few scenes which proof this. E.g. first episode, everyone glaring at Bowie and not really accepting his apology, and secondly Episode 3 where everyone smack talks Bowie and belittles him. Priya seems to hate Bowie more then she does Julia, and probably while not trusting Julia (like Damien said), I think the Rat Faces would definitely vote Bowie, as they hate him. Bowie caused more eliminations than Julia last season, and the ones Julia did cause she kinda made amends with (MK), so idk, the Rat Faces probably would’ve voted for Bowie over MK or Julia. But I agree the elimination being offscreen was upsetting. It might’ve been to create suspense and shock?
Well, almost everyone had a small reason to vote Bowie
Julia and MK: Self explanatory
Zee: Pretty dumb and can get easily convinced
Caleb: Holds a grudge against him for last season
Priya: Tried to destroy her friendship with Millie
Axel: was knocked out of the canoe by him
Ripper: Same as Axel
And I'm pretty sure Damien said "remind me never to *cross* that girl" instead of trust, so he probably doesn't want to get on Julia's bad side

Bowie, Raj and Wayne : They teamed up for voting MK off that's obvious.
Priya & Axel : They don't liked the cheating and voted with the boys.
MK & Julia : Julia wanted Bowie out and with MK's help she got it.
In my prediction I also have Damien-Julia final, it’s the only scenario I can think because I feel like Julia is almost a sure finalist since she’s the only antagonist and she can eliminate almost anyone she wants

This is a weird thought and can somehow explain why Zee and Damien pair up. Looking at carrying the canoe Zee slips to Damien, So he obviously knows her secret. To me looking at the episode descriptions is that Julia could expose it, and having Damien fix it. Having them seeming like polar opposites.
In a nutshell I agree with you about the final 2
I don't think MK will quit. I think they've built up this MK/Julia alliance so much so far that they won't end it like that. I do like how Julia saved MK because she was why she was eliminated in Season 1. Julia would never had saved anyone last season.

i think it as because everyone hated bowie either way, like caleb since bowie got him the first boot, priya because he ruined her friend ship with millie last season, axel and ripper would probably just vote bowie since he was a runner up and that he punched axel, i’m not sure about damien, but zee was probably easily convinced so that would make it 7 - 4 (counting damien if he didn’t vote for bowie)

These are all just opinions I wanted to write down somewhere, feel free to disagree: I wanna say the merge happened way too early, but I'll hold off and wait to see how the rest of the season plays out to decide. Although with the episode 10 leaks, I've seen that people already aren't too happy about where this season might go.
-Priya and Caleb's romance is... fine. I definitely don't hate it, and I think it brings up some good avenues to delve deeper into Priya as a character. It's already helped us get to know Caleb much more than last season. But how will it play out for the rest of the season? That's the big question. Only time will tell. (I honestly liked Priya's storyline with Millie last season more so far because of how it showed that Priya's supportiveness can change people like Millie for the better, and Millie even saved Priya's life in episode 11 and helped Priya win immunity in episode 12 by refusing to give up, even when things looked bad. Those two really benefited from being together for so long. Maybe I'm in the minority on that, but if I am, so be it.)
-I'm really interested to see what happens to the immunity idol. This is the first time it's going to be used after the merge, since the other 2 times they were used by Scott in ROTI and Alejandro in AS right before the merge. This could be a really cool part of this season.
-Yeeeaaahhhh, I don't like Axel and Ripper's romance anymore. I thought it was interesting up until the end of episode 4, mostly because of Ripper's turnaround, but now they just feel like a joke couple... that isn't really funny to me. Ripper's poem was nice and all, but now Axel can't get enough of him, and we really haven't explored Axel's side of this relationship enough yet imo for how quickly she changed her mind about him. Things could change, but this has been kinda disappointing.
-Damien winning immunity was pretty cool. This episode seems like it could really be a turning point for him. I was worried this season was just going to have scared Damien the entire time, but I've got more hope for him now. He could make it pretty far, especially since he's not hated like MK is, he's not seen as a threat as much as most other characters, and he's not wrapped up in drama with other characters like Zee is. I don't know if he'll really be the season's winner, but it's looking like he's here to play for real now.
-As for Bowie's elimination, maybe it's because the Skunks won 3 in a row before this, which means he hasn't been to an elimination ceremony since episode 2, but I wasn't really convinced Bowie was in a lot of danger here.
I know a bunch of people hated him in the beginning of episode 1, but aside from Julia hating him, Bowie being widely hated was kind of just ignored up until this elimination. That, combined with Julia convincing the Rat Faces to vote for him off-screen, just made this elimination... much more underwhelming than it probably should've been in my opinion.
This is the largest vote since... Island, I think. No other season has had an 11-person vote, right? Well, okay, Action had a 14-person vote to get rid of Geoff and Bridgette, but that one was pretty obvious. Couldn't we have gotten a little more clarity about what happened here? Axel could have voted for Bowie with Ripper, but she was also furious about MK's cheating and I don't think she'd trust Julia's lie so easily. Or Damien, actually.
I dunno, maybe I'm focusing too much on the small things, but for such a major player last season, Bowie going home here just felt like it should've had more weight to it.
I agree with the clarity of the vote, I don't think everyone would believe Julia especially since last episode she revealed what she did to Nichelle right into their faces, so how can they even trust her?
My Prediction of the votes would be:
Bowie - Julia, MK, Ripper, Zee, Caleb (revenge vote), Axel (voted with Ripper)
MK - Bowie, Raj, Wayne, Damien, Priya (could maybe even vote Zee)
Tbh both Julia and MK can both potential villains. I do wish they were still both antagonistic against each other but maybe in the future something will happen where MK betrays Julia and Julia gets eliminated and MK becomes the last “antagonist”standing

Is it weird, part of me actually wants Wayne to crush on Julia. Julia may not like him back but might see him as a pet. But the relationship has some seeds in the future cause they paired them together in this challenge.

I think that Ripper and Axel voted for Bowie on this one. When he was tauting Damien he made a small jab at Axel. You could see Ripper and Axel being upset about it. So having 4 votes against Bowie is possible just from that. Pryia is also likely to vote for Bowie, since he was the one who sabotaged her and Millie's friendship. I do think that's really lazy from the writers to make it off screen. Still the best episode of the season so far.
Anyway Ripper made it to the merge. As always he's getting the Ws. #RipperSquad
Sadly I feel like Bowie would go even if Julia convinced no one Bowie destroyed and tricked Axel so she and Ripper would vote him over MK and I think Priya would still be upset about Bowie messing with her friendship although I feel like Julia might have needed to talk to Priya she wouldn’t be opposed to voting Bowie and then Caleb is probably just voting with Priya but I don’t understand how Julia could convince anyone that Bowie cheated after she just got Nichelle
