Yoooo I went to a beach in NSW and my sisters and I were getting DUNKED by freaking massive waves and we literally couldn't get out of them. Idk why we kept going back in though it was so scary being swirled around like I was in a washing machine. Bruised and sore for like a week lol

@@sheikahchick9861 oh yeah, big waves can be terrifying. Don’t go in choppy waters if you’re not a strong swimmer, friends. But also, practice diving under the waves until you get out far enough past them. Cause the ocean cares not for your fragile human body 😂

Yeah, the further out you go it becomes easier to ride the waves while treading water and if you stay at the water edges, you have less worry of getting knocked down into water you get out of to breath. That middle ground is only for those who know what to expect.
Ofc that's not counting in Riptides or anything.

I've only swum at the beach twice in the last three years since I moved to the beachiest state in Australia, both times I was like "myehhh this isn't for me." I love my hate for the ocean being reinforced thank youuuu haha

Never gotten close to drowning, closest I’ve come would be the time I swallowed a mouth full of polluted bay water and almost threw it back up as soon as it went down. (It was nasty.) my parents taught my siblings and I to be careful around the ocean because we lived there for 7 years before moving back to the eastern side of Washington.

I actually love swimming despite the stuff ive been through with water. Ill tell u 3 things but there is many reasons.
1. When i was a baby my cousin thought i wouod be funny to push me out into the bay, we had elrctric eels, ocasinal sharks and alot of pointy rocks and crabs ect. (I was in a floaty)
2. The same cousin liked to hold me underwater for about 45 seconds at a time, i was maybe....7-8?
3. I almost drowned in a pool because i slipped and fell in when i was like...4-5
But yea still love swimming ALOT idk why. Its so much fun! However, i cannot go swimming alone, i get terrified lol!

Last time I went into the ocean I numbed into a shark. Their skin feels like sandpaper, and it’s like sharp razor blades, so it scraped all up my entire leg. I think the shark was just trying to play, because he didn’t try to bite me, but I’m never going in the ocean again
