PAT O'BRIEN'S SQUALL cocktail

Flavorful passion fruit up front, muted rum taste, very refreshing classic cocktail. From an old Pat O’Brien’s menu 1970’s.Comes in at 24% ABV.
MIXING NOTES: This is a passion fruit cocktail. The Bacardi Superior light rum (per the video) is too muted allowing the passion fruit and lemon to dominate. I recommend Bacardi gold (1-2 YO) as it adds a mild rum taste and still allows the passion fruit thru. Use Chinola for best flavor. I have tried to recreate a popular forgotten cocktail from many years ago. Hope U enjoy!

2 Bacardi Gold (Puerto Rico 80 proof)
¾ Chinola passion fruit liqueur (Dom. Republic 42 proof)
¼ Liber passion fruit syrup
1 lemon juice (fresh)
Shake cracked clear ice, pour all into lipped glass, orange wheel, speared Luxardo cherry, straw
