On FlightRadar24 I see the SFO - TLV flights. They have been very long flight times. One route, I saw went as far north as Northern Greenland heading back to SFO from TLV. Amazing seeing your video. It puts it all in perspective and shows how amazing it is to travel for a living.

Ok, just heard the route you took. I think I saw this flight on FlightRadar24.... the route took the plane over northern Greenland. I love your videos!

Most transatlantic flights are between Europe and North America. The shortest route is a straight line on a globe, not a Mercator map, which is a cylindrical projection.
If you draw a straight line on from London to San Francisco on a Mercator map , it appears to be the shortest distance, but it is, in fact, much longer. The shortest route is the route you flew because the Earth is not a cylinder but a sphere.
I read your airline is about to expand into new European destinations for the coming summer season. I am sure you will fly to these countries/cities and experience the world and its wonders.
Thanks for the info. This trip was definitely a longer route than normal. Our pilots told us so and it was a longer flight time than the trip was originally blocked at.
When I went into the flight deck, the FO said we don't normally fly this north!
