The appreciation for Wayne goes with time as you discover more features or even mixtapes that classify him as best rapper alive, you think his commercial albums are good, then you see him body a feature, or take over someone’s song completely on his mixtape covers and then you see how completely versatile he is

So it’s true that Wayne doesn’t write , in the sense of sitting down and writing a song on paper then recording it , but he has said he also doesn’t just go in the booth and freestyle off the dome like the way we would think of someone freestyling. He said he goes in the booth , may rap a line , and then stop , and think of soemthing that would fit and rhym with it to say next ; and then record that, and then maybe think more , then record a little more . Maybe a few lines at a time , maybe a paragraph, maybe one line , and stop and think. Til he has a song complete

I definitely understand that everyone has their opinion on who's the best, but when this album came out (carter 3/2006) Lilwayne was undeniably the best rapper alive. Actually from 2003-2011 #OGWayne was #HipHop... Now in 2021, things are different, whats popular these days in rap is different. But to me, #Lilwayne is still the Best rapper alive, #Eminem is a rap god, and #Jayz (#2pac) is the Goat!

What's crazy is I don't if at any other time this has happened but it feels like Kanyes beat was bigger than Wayne's lyrics. Don't get me wrong wayne flamed, but the whole hook is about the beat hitting so hard and then the best itself is just disgusting and gives you goosebumps.
