  • "The Icelandic conditions really put it to the test. We had rain and dust, and cold and warm. I fell a few times but it seemed to withstand all of it." Byron Coetsee, the 2016 GS Trophy Winner, alongside Julia Lein, Head of Product Development for Rider's Gear at BMW Motorrad and Inga Birna Erlingsdóttir, GS Enthusiast, put the BMW Enduroguard Suit In the Spotlight whilst riding the 2017 BMW R 1200 GS in Iceland.

    Goodness. How can you present a top product and at the same time sound bored as hell?!

    Absolutely fantastic BMW leading the way BUT not enough ephasis on reflective safety striping and brighter colour.

      Proven time and time again by many studies that high vis colours do nothing to increase visibility. Get brighter lights from Clearwater Lights with the yellow covers, THIS increases the odds of a car seeing you. USMC and French government studies dont lie

    Glad to not see all the fluorescent crap all over it. If a driver can't you see with your lights on they ain't going to see you.

      There's a pretty significant amount of data that runs counter to your claim. I don't like high viz crap either, but it DOES make you more visible. What surrounding drivers do with that data is another story, but you ARE more likely to be seen if you're wearing bright, contrasting clothing.

      according to the USMC crash studies with service members, there is zero correlation to visibility of a bright vest or helmet and a driver's ability to identify a motorcyclist.
      LIGHTS, however do, the French transportation agency did a study and found a specific shade of yellow drastically increases the odds a motorist will see you.
      Check out Clearwater Lights, they have slip on covers that do just that.

    the suit looks very interesting like a competitor to the Klim Badlands. But the video is garbage, nothing was really said about the clothing.

      Badlands cant compare to this, this is the best suit anyone has ridden in

      Suit is better and more versatile than the Klim product.

    Black is not suitable for summer riding. We'll see what other colours will be available.

    • @TheLancebringer
      @TheLancebringer Před 6 lety

      You say this, but the black, even in the heat, doesnt overheat you when you're moving, you cannot adequately state how well this suit ventilates

      @@TheLancebringer When walking around off the bike the black suit will be a furnace in the summer. Grey all the way!
