You missed a colossal difference between the 2. The position of the blade in relation to the body grip point of the tool. The one with the slim head has the blade much closer to the center, which leads to less torsion in the hand when cutting, meaning that you can use it with one hand. I speak of this difference from the experience, I have with both models

for me a cordless grinder would be used too long requiring lots of battery. Have to stick with a cord. And a battery, big enough to run for a while, such as that flex bolt, it would be like swing in a car battery. Lol

What is the difference between DCG415 & DCG416
dcg416 can use the new flexvolt batteries.
The same. DCG415 is labeled as Power Detect and only available at Lowes. While DCG416 is labeled as Flex Volt, available at Home Depot and others.

413F is not flexvolt advantage - it works only with 18v battery
This is false. Flexvolt batteries can be used with all 18/20v max tools. There is just no benefit of extra power without Flexvolt Advantage.

u r right i was wrong at first thinking that only flexvolt tools can use flexvolt baterries
@@CaptainSteyr wrong, if you put a flexvolt battery on a tool that consumes a lot of power, you will see an increase in power. I know for sure because I own and use a dewalt
@@omulduda If you put a 60v battery in a 20v tool, it is still operating at 20 volts. In overly simplistic terms, Power = Voltage * Current. If the voltages are equal, it is the amperage that the battery can deliver sustained over time that makes the difference. A higher amp-hour battery will produce more power, longer. If you have a 6.0 amp hour 20v battery and a 6/2AH flexvolt battery, they will deliver roughly the same amount of power in a 20 volt tool. If you are comparing a 5AH 20 volt battery and a 12/4AH flexvolt battery, the flexvolt battery will sustain more power for longer because it has more amperage capacity.
