- Hi everyone! I'm back with Coy White and we've swapped the mountains for a bit of street.
In an unplanned turn of events, Coy ended up aggravating his sore wrist shortly into the ride meaning he had to take bit of a back seat. He suggested I swap the brakes around on his bike and try riding 26" again.
So here it is, some street and a bit of 24" Vs 26" action, give it a watch to see my opinion.

really admire the way you simultaneously push people to reach their target, whist also putting the on the spot! some folk seem to get a kick out of lording it up over others less refined in their discipline, an act like its some kind of secret! id be very suprised if the next generation of riders arent heavily influenced by this approach!
mr420B Ali has by far been the biggest influence on my riding, and still is who I go to to check form on everything haha

It's possible,if you'd rather have a $3000 bike than a Dirtbike. My yz125 only cost like 1600

Are you equating "hard" with the time it takes to save up for a good bike? I know you didn't buy a YZ for $1600 new. 2 seconds on eBay and I see a dozen trials bikes under $1k.
And yeah, I'd rather have virtually ANY quality bike over a dirtbike.
The problem is, no one sells them in the USA, so you can’t try before you buy.

I need to swap my element with V-Brake for a DD Hex they look so good ! Awesome Vlog again, doing good on both 24 and 26" Ali ;)
Its so nice, I hyped it up on my head for three or four years riding the V1 hex and even still it exceeded my expectations!
What rear brake are you running ? I never rode a trials bike with rear disc so a bit nervous of how it will do versus my v brake which is a beast !
I have a Magura MT7 with Trialtech brakepads, super strong and grabby. Other really good options are shimano saints, run by a guy named Aaron Browne whos a beast, and funny enough I've heard really good things about avid bb7 cable brakes! If you pm me of Instagram I can give you any advice I have :)
CashlessCaptures Saints make bad trials brakes as they work best when hot. XT work better for street in my experience.
Once you get to changing pads it sort of back-doors all of the temperature tendencies. Aaron rides saints on 203mm rotors and Danny used to run them before the Maguras. I've not seen many XT set ups, that's probably worth checking out as well!
Bring back the brakeless 26"! (and mods)

I would deff use the 26 inch frame and put new bars on it for wheeling

I'm building a 26 dirt jumper and at first I wanted to build a 24 but I was finding that parts for 24 were pretty hard to find. I'm a smaller guy so I think I'd feel more comfortable on a 24 but I like the availability of parts for 26in. Are 24s becoming not as commonly used because I really only see them in trials. I wonder why they're not as popular.
Ty_Braek yeah 24in dj bikes are pretty much dying out only a handful of people ride them.

Ali, what do you think about 20" trials bikes for a beginner. Thinking of buying one, and I heard it is easier to start on a smaller wheels. I also think about the missing seat on the smaller bikes - I do see you quite often seating after jumps - which means I would be much much more exhausted than you are, and no seat to relax on a bit.
Pavel Lobodinský I started on a 26” and I think it just helped me since I was used to mtb. If you’re coming from bmx then 20 or 24 might be worth a shot

To be honest I loved the Hex before this too, I rode a Hex before I rode the Arcade and actually helped develop it, i have videos of me on the prototype hex from around 2010 :)

any ideas for helping sprained hand or wrist? i went otb after riding down steep stairs and eating it months ago. every time i ride it goes back to square one in pain and restricted movement.
davey .jones Physiotherapy may help you a lot! Even i went otb when i was trying to nose manual, and i went for a physiotherapy treatment n now it's all good!!!

That's an 26'' Arcade then. If Duncan can decide on the color for the new 4play, you could put down your foot for a 26'' version. Would open up the tyre and rim choice quite a bit.
