This was actually the most helpful review on the Internet for a Milwaukee blower..... Friggin nailed it
I was looking for a lightweight blower for my deck. czcams.com/users/postUgkxgioZQl3J5wPGAeDINzbieKbT5qomSEx3 There are some huge trees around my house and the leaves and pods drop all over my deck. Having to move furniture around to sweep has become too big a chore. This blower was the answer. It is light enough for this 70yr old lady and powerful enough to blow all the tree droppings off my rather large deck. Thank you B&D. Be aware the cord is not included. I use a 3 prong outdoor cord 25' cord for my 12' x 20' deck. The cord retainer works very well, but don't try to pass the plug through it. That is NOT how it works. You just have to loop the cord and it works great. One of my best purchases. Very happy.
I own a couple m12 tools the blower being one . I noticed I get more power out of the 4.0 and the 6.0 batteries, especially when it comes to the stubby impact, the 6.0 is my go to, and yes the batteries do cost more but they last 3x longer than the little 2.0 or 2.5 batteries.
You got the full pucture in the clip, well done, thanks.
Good comparison. Think I'm going to go with the mini 18. I need something small for dust, wood dust, some leaves around the door (not doing my yard or anything), and dusting computer equipment. The mini 18 looks streamlined in terms of design and looks ironically more ergonomic and compact than the 12. The large 18 is just overkill for me, want something compact.
Thanks for this comparison!
Nice review I'm glad that you compared all the models I was looking at the M12 model compact but I think I like the M18 compact model better based on your review, thank you
Thank you for comparing all three, very helpful. I just need one to blow out dust in our garage… and I think the m12 would work… but the m18 seems to still be the best choice 🤙🏻
Yeah if you already have an M 12 system it’ll do the trick just fine. But if you’re looking to do lots of other things and want to full versatility Do the M 18 version
The 4 and 6amp batteries give it a good boost.
The Mini Makita 18V is a 1.5 ft long BEAST. 219 mph & 150 CFM. with a rubber end. BEAST MODE.
The rubber end makes it perfect for touch free drying your car
Me and the guys literally bring these to our car wash places and use them to dry lmao
Hell yeah I have also lol
The M12 or the M18?
Same! M18
I have the M 18 fuel large blower already. I’m a handyman and I am always looking for a compact version of everything. I was thinking about getting the M 12 blower but, however, I think I’ve seen this video. I’m better off staying with my big and 18 because I don’t want to have to put in the extra effort and batteries just to clean up my job site.
Well that was perfect timing…. When you fired up the big m18 my roomba emptied the bin and I was like holly crap that m18 is loud af 😂
Lol nice
Think I'm sold on the big blower. Need something to clean snow out of and off of vehicles at work.
Helpful review
I can’t say I’ve ever found myself needing a smaller leaf blower for low clearance applications.
Haha true
Can you please do a video on using the M12 blower vs the big boy M18 blower to dry the car?
Good idea
great review 100% agree
Thanks
In my opinion, if they had a nozzle that tampered at the end it would create more blowing power.
I agree
I’ve been using a gas powered backpack blower to dry my cars after washing. I’ve got some m18 tools, so I think I’d like to add an electric blower to my collection. Which would you recommend to dry a vehicle after washing?
Definitely the fuel M18 big one the others don't have enough juice to really move smaller drops of water.
Just searching for this same answer.
i use the 5.0 high output m12 and it makes a difference
I'm in your garage 🤠
I needed a blower to clear rocks and debris from under cars, dry my car/engine bay, blow out the dog hair from the car, fires/blowing out grill and general cleanup. I bought the m12 and wondered if the 18 full-size was the way to go. I noticed the m12 still sucks your shirt into the intake. I still might get the m18 going forward.
M18 fuel is the way to go.
I'm gonna subscribe due to the fact you had a modelo pina picante.
Haha so good!!!
"That actually feels a little bit better when it's longer like that"
Any chance the inflator fittings from the compact blower fit on the m12 Spot?
I think the M 12 did come with a few fittings if I remember correctly but it’s been along time since I open that
Is the smallest one enough to dry a car after wash ?
It will move a little water but nowhere near the amount the big one does. I originally bought the M18 Compact for that but quickly upgraded to the M18 Fuel Blower as it would actually complete the task.
I use my m18 compact blower to dry my car after every wash, with a fully charged battery it takes about 20 minutes but I am particularly fussy, I even dry the tyres, the rubber nozzle is particularly convenient, on more than 1 occasion I've gotten too close and thought to myself, thank fook that's rubber and not plastic.
Note: the car I completely dry with the blower has a ceramic coating which makes it easier to move the water, my cars that aren't coated just get a general blow and then finished off with a drying towel
Wish you had a 6 Amp battery to test
why is the compact m18 listed as 160 mph, while the full size m18 is listed as 120 mph (on home depot)
The compact is designed for fast air speed with low air volume, the leaf blower is designed for high volume and mid speed. Which you need for leafs or bulky stuff. Full size works better for snow too
Is this perfect for drying a car? or is better de big one?
Bigger the better
Great
Sorry forgot to subscribe in the panic to leave a comment.
Maybe if u used m12 6.0 battery would have more juice?
I have some 4amp batteries but I don't think it would really change the max RPM it would probably just rev up quicker
@@BlakesGarage interesting, I tried this out last week the m12 blower felt weak even on the level 2 setting. It’s either m18 fuel blower or none lol
@@l3ugl3unny10 yeah if you really want some power definitely get the big boy.
@@BlakesGarage how would well would this work for clearing snow?
@@HerrenGamingNews big M18 It would be good for power but if the snow is set probably not that great.
Can I dry a car with 12V?
No it wouldn’t have enough beans unless maybe you’re ceramic coated but still I’d buy the big M18 for drying cars.
The M12 sucks compared to the compact M18. I have both, and the M18 is actually smaller, blows harder, and is way more ergonomic to use.
Looks like imgoing to have to convert to lefty for free
I use the M18 lrg blower to dry my car
Yeah that's definitely the best choice for that I've tried the M18 compact when I first got it and it didn't have the beans to dry the car well.
Does it come with attachments?
@@leojohnwayne1422 no. There are some 3d printed adapters being sold on Ebay, FB marketplace etc. I bought 1 and i think it does better without it, seems to mess with the air flow with it on
@@17nano3 got it thanks!
Put a M12 6.0 batterie on that .
Where this m12 blower really shines (and was likely designed for) is blowing off your M18 table saw, or M18 miter saw on the job site, before putting it back in your truck. I use the M12 blower in my shop all the time. If I used my big-boy M18 blower, I'd have sawdust everywhere. The little M12 guy gets the job done, without scattering sawdust everywhere. It does a really great job of cleaning sawdust off your tools before storing them.
As a side note, (this is off-label use, so Fauchi would probably try to imprison you for doing this) if you need to stoke a campfire, THIS is the tool for the job!!! I can smell those rib-eye steaks cooking already...
but what kind of boots are those? lol
Dan Post
Not bad at all for drying cars
Which one would you recommend?
@@leojohnwayne1422 depending how many Milwakee tools you have... but you could try m18. 1 charger, 2 batteries and you are set
@@Carlos.Rivera this will be my first set.. m18 at Home Depot is on sale for $170 with battery
@@leojohnwayne1422 damn... that a steal. My local Home depot sell all Milwakee tools separately
It's an m12. The power 8s less than the others.
@3:33 what, pause. lol
