Hey Christian. Got a question for you that would help me in a study I've been working for, would be quite happy if I get an answer :). Who usualy operates the radio in Leopard 1 and Leopard 2 tanks, Loader or Comander?
As a retired crewman on the Leopard A1 series, the Canadian C1 A1 the radios proper are on the loader side, The loader sets the frequencies, each station has the ability to adjust their communications to internal, or other frequency for communications.
@@cornerbloke8861 looking at the Leopard 2 series, it would appear to be that way as the ammo bin is directly behind the loader. It does appear that the Leopard 1 series unless modified by country, radios behind the loader. Staying with the C1 Leopard, it was the loader that "controlled" the radio, that is set the frequencies on the radio. Each station could control which mode they were listening to or sending to. As for the Leo 2, is there a retired Leo 2 tanker that can answer?

@@garycambridge2296 Where the radio is located is dependent on the model I guess... In most pictures radio is clearly seen behind the commanders seat
