Making marital r*pe illegal presents several challenges, including:
1. **Verification of the Complaint:** How do we verify a woman's claims of marital r*pe, and how can the accused prove his innocence if she is not truthful?
2. **Lack of Awareness:** Many in India are unaware that non-consensual sex within marriage can be r*pe.
3. **Cultural Norms:** Deep-rooted cultural beliefs often imply consent within marriage, making it hard for victims to be believed.
