Totally agree...MPHT has never hooked me I've been watching it only for wahaj. And now maheer's selfishness and her behavior towards saad has become unbearable. In next episode's promo and she's seen blaming saad...I understand she would come to know that areeb didn't betray her but how can she blame saad for everything... if saad hadn't agreed to marry, her father would have been passed. The writing is really not great except the fact that saad's character is a breath of fresh air.
Also, I'm really not a fan of Badar Mahmood' direction....his most dramas are less of story and more of flashbacks and ost...he did the same with Dunk and ishqiya. And I heard that he's also directing Bilal's next drama so I'm quite worried.

"Mujhe pyar hua tha" and "Tere Bin" are stories where they're trying to show that no matter how good, handsome and honest the guy is, if the marriage is forced upon the girl due to whatever reasons, the girl feels miserable and struggles like hell to give up her autonomy and bend in to the wills of those around, be it parents, in-laws or husband.
It is even more hard on the girl if the guy turns out to be a good person like Saad, or to an extent Murtasim, coz it puts her in a conflict with herself too in addition to the world around her.
For no fault of theirs both the lead females are taking a lot of heat just coz they got to marry decent men. Why aren't they given any time to reassess and reassure themselves?

Mujhay Pya Hua thaa … I didn’t like Neelo’s behaviour towards Maaheer in this episode and I thought she must show some consideration to Maaheer’s circumstances and not hurt her at a moment when she is already blaming herself for everything BUT then I saw next episode’s promo and Maaheer making a U-turn (which was expected) after knowing Areeb’s dad’s death on the Wedding day but I had no idea that in her U-turn , she will forget everything that Saad has done for her ..He became her punching bag , her psychiatrist and the only person who was supporting her after what Faha said ..He is the same guy who with the slight movement of Maheer’s head understood that Faha is lying ..Saad literally confessed how “Khaas” she is for him and this girl is so drowned in her selfishness that she just can’t see anything and she is pining for Areeb’s love jis ko sirf Jumma Jumma Aaat din hue thay Zindagi mein aye hue ..She didn’t even know him properly and hasn’t seen his angry junooni childish side even…
Now what Neelo said to Maaheer in this episode is totally justified !
Look I can’t bear seeing Saad being treated this way by Maheer and she is treating him like a doormat. I want Maaheer to get married to Areeb and face the music which Madray Areeb will play for her most venomously.
I wish Saad moves on and meets someone who really sees him for what he is .
Heroes like Saad are rare in our dramas and the drama makers are giving a message to all the guys out there that Don’t be like Saad because Girls like Maaheer will treat you like a tissue paper ..
Hum dil de chukay hain Sanam will start now but Ashiwarya’s character was not like Maaheer and she did not treat Ajay devgan’s character with a ruthless attitude that Maaheer is doing ..

Maheer is borderlining on selfishness but I think she's only thinking of herself, which isn't necessarily wrong. And I agree that Saad deserves way better than Maheer.
Maheer isn't that all forgiving, ever giving, teary eyed, selfless heroine. And Saad is that person and he deserves someone like himself.
Maheer deserves whomever she loves, someone like Areeb and she should get married to him and realise later on what she lost (both family and Saad). Rights and wrongs apart, she deserves to make her own choice for once.

I think Neelo was angry because she thought Maheer was actually staying in touch with Areeb. However, Maheer is not at fault for feeling happy about Areeb. She does not see Saad as a husband. It is impossible for Maheer to not know about Saad’s love for her, specially after these words, “Muj mae dekho khud ko. Meri aam si zindagi mae buhat khass ho tum”. Either Maheer cannot see beyond self pity, or she simply does not want Saad, does not want to acknowledge his love, because she does not know what love is. While both Areeb and Maheer claimed to be in love, both did not trust one another and blamed each other for betrayal. Saad , on the other hand, stands like a rock with Maheer when everyone, even his closest go against her. Only Maheer would not be able to see the difference.

MPHT: 100% agree with Amna! You can't just love someone because they are perfect... Maheer just loved another boy. All the plot twists are about toxic parents, not about a love story and Maheer changing her mind about someone or falling in love with someone else naturally. She was denied the person she loved and now is forced to be with this wonderful guy who she's just not into. Choice / agency are extremely important in a marriage. Whatever Maheer's father thought of Saad, it was not his choice to make, so it's absurd to praise him for it. She could've decided to marry Saad on her own later on... but this show just imposes a guy on her that she SHOULD love because he's good for her. It's absurd, the argumentation. That's not how connections, attractions, and relationships develop...

All problem is that he is so good that he becomes unbearable for us too and he just makes other person look bad even if they are speaking for themselves. He is flawless but Areeb isn't a bad person too, he didn't show up neither called ofc his fault but did he betray her? No, did he not come? And just waited for her to call just out of his ego? No,you can't say that he wouldn't have been able to keep her happy, if he is so in love with her he will do anything for her and she will be satisfied since she loves him too, on the other hand no matter what Saad does she won't ever be satisfied she will just look at him out of pity would always treat him as her punching bag! And yes how she blamed Saad in the promo is unacceptable but has only become possible because of him behaving as her mat, trust me a person so good as Saad can't survive in today's world. Aamna explained the whole MPHT situation so aptly. Its mainly the parents who are at fault. Saad's parents and Maheer's dad deciding for the rishta on their own without giving any space to Maheer, and assuming that their kids are happy. Maheer's mom is not wise at all. I agree with Aamna that Maheer is not at fault at all. People blaming her are not able to see things from her perspective. There's nothing wrong in falling in love. She's being thrown from one situation to another, and they are not giving her space. Imagine being in her place, being married to someone u don't love and people asking u to move on while u haven't grieved yet. All she needs is space. If I were in her place, I would suffocated. Saad is gem of a person but u can't appreciate this love when u are in a state of turmoil. What Hasan said ia valid too, but u can say that when u are an audience and are able ro see rhings from all perspectives. We as audience know that Maheer would be happier with Saad than Areeb, but she doesn't know thay bcz she hasn't ever looked at Saad that way. She will make a mistake and realize. We have such a problem with women not liking a great guy. The guy is forced on the girl. We should be reminded of the girl who came to Rasool Allah sallallahu alayhi wasallam and told about how her father had married her off to someone. The prophet asked her if she wanted to stay married and she declined. He annulled the marriage. So there was no question about the guy being good. It was about her not wanting to marry him.

Maheer is in her bubble of self-loath. It's stupid to think that she is in a position to empathize with Saad’s love. According to her, Saad’s love is his business. Saad loves Maheer but Maheer never gave him any expectations. Whereas, Maheer loved Areeb who gave her the hopes of a future together and broke it. If anything, maheer is a bigger victim than saad.

She and her mother have to take accountability for her poor choices because of which Saad is stuck in this marriage as well. Even if he got to marry his love, he has no idea whether she will ever love him, moreover she has become a stone cold wall in her grief as well. Saad could have moved in and found somebody that actually cared about him. That chance was taken from him because of Maheer and her mother's poor choices.Let's be honest Maheer has taken him for granted since before the wedding. In the next promo again we see her blaming Saad for agreeing to the wedding.

    Simple formula.
Maheer doesn't love Saad but she still loves areeb, though he ditched her, maheer was pushed into getting married to Saad without giving time for her to think, all parents r bad, imposing and manipulative, including three mothers and two fathers, they r not seeing to their child's needs and desires.
Maheer cannot bring herself to love Saad, these r human emotions, just because Saad is too good does not mean that a girl would love to marry a good guy sometimes girls fall for bad guys too.

Agar: Killing Farrukh was important for the writer because Usama khan had left the show because he never wanted to be a part of the show as he knew that the show won’t get enough views like the soap serials which he is working on and i am forced to believe that Juggun also left the show which made the writers kill her character or maybe her death was there in the first place as there is no real importance of chandni’s character.Agar has really disappointed me because i genuinely thought this show had a great cause

the reality in maheer's life is we know what saad is,what he feels and everything about saad. Maheer loves Areeb and Saad doing all of this is just for their friendship plainly according for him. Saad doing a lil too much of goodness which no one is asking for. For all the love i have for saad SELF RESPECT SELF LOVE KARLO JAANI MAHEER BAAD MAIN APNE AAPKO DEKHEGI

Hassan is COMPLETELY wrong about Maheer. She does not love Saad. No matter how perfect he is (and I love him), she has a total RIGHT not to love him, and a total right not to be able to come to terms with her marriage to him. Why should she come to terms with Saad? Just because people like Hassan are fed up with her refusal to recognize Saad's superior character compared to Abeer? Everyone seems to think it is now time for Maheer to stop grieving. Why? Who decides how long a person should grieve? Do we decide? "Okay Maheer, enough sorrow. It's time to move on." In fact, it's harder for Maheer to move on because she has been betrayed. (At least she thinks so.) Closure is very difficult for a person who feels humiliated. And why do men feel they can badger a woman into 'getting over and moving on"? I'm surprised that Hassan does not see this. He is usually very alert to issues related to women in Maheer's position.

Exactly my point . And also Hassan is wrong in many points . According to him Areeb is not perfect guy for Maheer . But whai I feel is Areeb is not a bad guy he is little stupid . He did not crime he did a mistake that he didn't inform Maheer about his father. Again Hasan was wrong that Maheer's father did a good call . No a big no . He should stand for his daughter that time . He didn't thought about his daughter he worried about what people will say . If he gave her that comfort that time that it's ok take your time and move on things happen in life I am with you , I just want you to be happy don't worry about what people will say I will take care of that . Everything would have been fixed by now. I don't know why dramas always portray weak parents. Actually Maheer's parents are the one who destroyed her life . Although I am one of the biggest admirer of Saad , I feel logically Saad and Maheer shouldn't ended up together. Maheer and Areeb should and you never know they will get better together and Saad should move on he deserves someone who would make him feel special, treasure him . But I know that's not gonna happen .

MPHT: Hassan I think you are talking from a 3rd person perspective, who can see the fact that Areeb is a bad match for Maheer.
If you view it from Maheer's perspective her reaction is justified and the moment she gets to know Areeb didn't reach for the nikah on time because his dad had a heart attack, she is justified to feel that her mohabbat didn't betray her, it was what her first concern was, k uski mohabbat haar gayi.
We understand Saad is a very nice guy but Hassan you need to accept that she doesn't look at Saad the way you do.
I also agree with Amna, a very good person can make everyone else look bad. Loving Amna's perspective about everything MPHT related💛

I highly disagree with Amna regarding Maheer. She is just a selfish and self-absorbed girl who is putting her own needs before everyone. She had already told her mother in the previous episodes "mein zindagi mein agay barna chahti hoon" which means she's starting to forget about Areeb the moment she got some attention from Saad. This is in line with her "me-first" character; from the beginning she should have clearly told everyone she likes Areeb but she pushed Saad to be on the forefront so he could take all the blame and then on the Nikah day she could have again declined so she is just as much to blame as her own mother for the situation she is in. She is clearly putting Saad as a backup as even when Neelo had indirectly stated the situation to her in a previous episode she clearly said I'm understanding but willing to ignore it.
She's definitely not oblivious to Saad's love. Any girl can tell the difference between a person liking and loving them and especially to the extent that Saad does. And in the next episode when she comes to know Areeb's father had died, her intentions start to change again.
I agree with Hassan's viewpoint on MPTH and that Maheer's mother is more to blame because she knowingly was throwing her daughter into hell while Areeb's mother already showed her true intentions from the beginning. Atleast she was not double faced. Maheer's mother even insinuated that Saad actually liked someone else.
In Yun Hi the script is really badly written as Kim tells Dawood that I'm not judging you for your clothes so why can't you take me out in my western attire. She is totally wrong here as she stereotyped him from first sight and called him a terrorist just because of his dressing and then said these type of men have 3-4 wives. She's contradicting herself like Amna said, same case with why are you a coward and why are you scared of me after making a big drama of the fact that he entered the room. He's more concerned about his character in front of his family than he is 'afraid' of her.
