Good question, I purchased a rifle tag but because my Triple Threat slam, 1 species 3 Methods of take (gun, Bow, Muzzleloader) I wanted to shoo this one with a Muzzy.
You can use a scope it just can not be battery operated unless you're a disabled hunter. Here is a link to the regulations page. myodfw.com/articles/legal-hunting-methods-and-weapon-restrictions That is a great question though.
I’m curious here. I muzzleloader hunt in oregon and if that is a muzzleloader you shot that buck in roseburg with, that’s an illegal weapon. No closed ignition and no scopes. I’m sure you weren’t shooting just lead to?!
@@MarkVPeterson Yes they are. I don't think most people realize how aggressive these buggers are during the rut. I've watched some pretty crazy stuff from the treestand over the years.
Love the apple trees
Those old apple trees the deer love. I love hunting over natural apple trees.
Question: What are you doing with a scope on a Muzzleloader in the State of Oregon?

Well done! Really enjoyed this video. Cool country down there...way different than the timberland I hunt in western washington.
Awesome video
Thanks, glad you liked it!
Nice vid
Thanks Gabe! Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃
Nice video congrats on your blacktail deer, I was told no scope on muzzleloader was allowed only open sights.

I was wrong when I spoke last. Mark was actually using a rifle tag but using the Muzzleloader to fill the tag. Sorry for the confusion.

When I go I actually hunt with a Muzzleloader under a Firearm permit. Hope that answers your question and concern.
Nice job bagging 2 nice Columbian Blacktail bucks. Great video. I subbed ya... Eric.
Thanks for the sub! Glad your liking the content. Stay Tuned for more.
@@MarkVPeterson I've been bow hunting Columbian blacktail for a long time and I love seeing vids of people hunting the grey ghost.
@@SoloCamXTOutdoors They are just cool deer.

Why is it that I’ve seen a few muzzleloader videos where y’all jack shells outa your guns lol
What you are seeing is the primer that is used in my Gunwerks Muzzleloader.
Is it not illegal to use that gun? Must have open ignition, that has a bolt.

@@MarkVPeterson Ohh, okay. Had me a little worried there for a second.
Scopes are illegal to use in oregon with a muzzleloader. Unless your a disabled hunter. So either your disabled or that was illegal.
