none of these are gonna sell for under 5k and if they do, you will be spending a ton of money fixing them up to be stable.
Bought several of these cars for under 5k and they are running fine and didn’t need tons of money, my G was a great car and is still running to this day

Any mr2 where I live for a total shitbox is 15k + if you can even find one. A 3rd get turbo is like 30g's man. Lol maybe on this list you could put a old toyota corolla fwd, or a dodge daytona maybe. Or a chrysler interpid.. Shit I should just make my own list of whats actually under 5 k even of every car is lame. Lol

A nice 350z (any engine) will be hard to find at that price. They are coming up in value.
Car culture has been trending recently, cars in general are up in price, and these are the new 240 so tack on drift tax and these are definitely gonna continue to shoot up

Just seen a Turbo mr2 with bunch of mods for $7,000, not impossible to find one for 5k, might not be the cleanest example but it’s not impossible

My Man!.. I had a blue 2006 Infiniti G-35x sedan! With the peanut butter interior!.. it was an almost 300hp AWD monster! I LOVED my G35x.. I wish I never got rid of it.. I definitely think it's a fast lil car for the money!.. I did 144 mph on the highway and the front drive shaft (I think 🤔) broke off and smashed a fist size hole in my transfer case!
Seeesh hahah I had an 05 G35, was a fun car got it for $1000 running and driving with a messed up fender and bumper, fixed that stuff drive it for 2 years then sold it. miss that car, but they are still very affordable my friend just got an 04 G35 coupe for $2000 its stupid clean too
The d16 civic need clutch, poly motor mounts, poly front lower control arm bushings, clutch, turbo kit, tune and full exhaust. A 250whp d16 delsol or hatchback is force.
I feel bad for car enthusiasts in the states. The car market is so expensive even though it is so saturated. Here in Japan I can get a FD Rx-7 in ok condition for like $8k-$10k USD. In the states it's like $20k+ USD. Don't get me started on the skylines haha. Here my friend bought a r32 for $8k USD in the states they would go for a lot more.

i live 30 mins out of AZ,CO,NM,UT im in the 4 corners area, lots of good cheap cars, iv bought sevreal of these cars for under 5k and i bought many cars 2021/2022 WRXs, G35, Boosted RSX and a bunch more all under 5k. some definitely have problems but every car is gonna eventually have problems so might as well buy em cheap and fix them
european stuff i feel is the new tuner you can get a 2006 mercedes c230 kompressor auto/manual for around 3k-5k mint thats 200hp or an older mercedes e430 thats 300hp for around 3-5k mint too because most mercedes owners were old rich people

For me depends on price, depends on year, mileage etc, like what year 5.0? Like a new one is 20k+ so I’d choose the Z because you can spend that money in upgrades and parts, if it’s an older 5.0 then I’d maybe go with the 5.0 but iv had a G35 and was super fun, both are very fun cars

Hrs in a 350z,g35 sedan , g37 are all starting a 8k same for the eclipse even a gst is that and gsx is now close to mid 10's
I have a gst, definitely not 10k you can find a gst for $2500-3000 and gsx for $3500-$5000 if you look and can travel to get it

@@araisa683 iv had 2 GSTs first one was a 1st gen I got for $900 in 2017 then got my 2g in 2018, but I still see GST/GSXs for really affordable prices $2500-$4000 all the time on Marketplace

You said Eclipse ended in 2011. Not quite correct as they did a 2012 model also. Not the high perf cars you are looking at building I know. But details matter.

90-93 is 1st gen 94-99 are 2nd gen, both can come with the 4g63, both come turbo if you get a gst or gsx and they are AWD if you get a GSX

@Austin Archu I'm just saying it's not expensive to get around 350hp or so which is quick enough for a under 5k car that is damn reliable as well, is it street monster no, 2g had so many other issues 3gs don't while I agree 2gs look better
@@sheldondrewett4123 3g needs a lot more parts to turbo it, while the 1g/2gcomes with all that, injectors, turbo, manifold, ecu, exhaust, Bov, wastegate, intercooler, piping, air/fuel gauge, then you to tune it, even more money is required to make a 3g as powerful as a stock 1g/2g

Where do you live, brother?? If your junkyard has dozens of MR2's for $500, you need to buy them all and flip them on Bring-A-Trailer. Not that I support this plan, but a "scrap yard MR2" isn't a thing. Honestly. Show me one example at that price, and I'll drive down to buy one tomorrow.
There are 3-4 MR2s in my local junkyards a few 1st and 2nd gens, but our junkyards don’t want to sell whole cars, only parts so it’s kinda wack

dont get a neon srt 4 ive had one and it was a waste, the car is ok for what it is but all the cars are cheaply made and nobody took care of them so its not a wise choice to put money into them and it wont last
SRT4 are an amazing car, and super cheap to work on and fix, same motor as the turbo PT cruiser so parts are cheap, They are great
