She was the most amazing singer ever hands down. I am 48 and grew up to her and when she was in her prime it was pure magic. Nobody could follow her on a stage. She is the voice.

This was the performance that made me open her catalog of live performances, after this I looked for all her live performances, yes it makes my heart heavy watching moment like this wit her, it was a moment in time we will never have again! So glad I experienced it as she was the premier singer in my teens and 20s, this concert was the highest rated HBO concert of hat time! No one was sitting with Whitney vocally or on record sales and popularity. She did the ssb before this and the bodyguard after this! Queen of POP during this era!!!

I must say hearing that Patti is, it's new to me, I know she's up there with them, but I would recommend you to check out Aretha Franklin, that's who for me is after Whitney but before Whitney it was Aretha and some will still argue that she is number 1.

Oh, it's tough to reason with delusion. Whitney has (and I hate having to throw hate her way, cuz if Mariah was never been, Whitney would be my Mariah) maybe FIVE NEXT LEVEL performances. Mariah has about 20 LIVE performances that are just outta Whitney's talent level. Whitney takes the 'Mid-Range' Belt. Granted. Mariah crushes her in Upper-Range belt (not whistles, the belts). Mariah can go lower than Toni Braxton, so she wins the Lower-Range belts too (Check You And I Stevie Wonder Tribute, and honestly tell me Whitney could do that?). Delusion. And 'Run Circles'. Mariah's transitions and runs are wayyyyyyy tougher than Whitney's. That's fact, boo. She has the speed of a machine gun and the precision of a sniper. It's really (other than the whistles) what she's known for. Which is why, degree of difficulty-wise, Mariah's songs are tougher to sing. Just going by the 'receipts' that are out there, yours don't add up! You can say you prefer her voice, but saying it's better is ludicrous. And there you go, you learned something new today...thanks to the Lambs!
