What up! Check out the Honda CB650R, Kawasaki Ninja 400, and DRZ-400 I’m giving away FOR FREE: www.yammienoob.co
Hey Yammie, I know this is a stretch but is there any chance of the giveaways becoming international?
Just love the way you start off the videos dude so enlightening😂
Yammie Noob how
What is that honda motorcycle with auto suspension.
What is the Yamaha on the thumbnail
I’m a new rider and the “look where you want to go and the bike goes there” is the strangest yet very important rule I learned. First time riding I was at a 3-way stop with woods straight ahead - had to turn left. I was more focused on the trees in front of me instead of the left turn. I began accelerating and almost went into the woods instead even though I was trying to turn the bars left. It’s crazy how the senses work.
Video Starts at 1:39 boys and girls
A hero emerges
I unsubscribed because of the 1st 1 minute 40 seconds.
@ragnhild thingstad I went from using a 10-sided die to using a 10-sided wheel.
I trank you so much... Greets from germany and have a nice day
Fuck you (im at 1:40 already)
When I was learning clutch, I stalled my bike 3 times all the way through a green turn light until it turned red. I was so embarrassed lol. But hasn't happened since.
Saw someone stall and block all four streets of an intersection once lol they were my inspiration to master the clutch before ever going on a big street
Happened to me when i learned stick on a car
How true at all accounts lol. Clutch skills can be a difference
that should've been dealt with in a riding school, not on a road imo
Just happened to me today 😅
2:27 that recovery was fucking impressive
Came for this comment🤯🤯
A skill everyone must learn is to super squid through traffic at 169 on a turbo busa
186*^
No you either drive 69 or 420
INSIDE of it?
Saw two busa's this morning both riders looked confused on why the other had a busa...
Lmaooo. Hilarious
10:28 is absolutely insane!
Insanely stupid yeah
I audibly said “WHAT THE FUCK”, cringed, and my own butthole puckered!!!! 😬
I damn near had a panic attack just from watching that 😂😂😂
I died of laughter because that man all most meet our lord and savior Jesus Christ or straight up death.
Insanely dangerous. Just ran over the pedestrian crossing like that too?
10:28 nearly gave me a heart attack!
I want that link of full video!!!
GF: 10:27 sends nude pic to bf.
BF: 10:28 I'm on my way.
That video is super sped up that dude is cruising slowly.
Bruh after that I would take a break from riding a motorcycle
I died atleast 5 times during that
“Balancing the bike” would have been a good opportunity to talk about counter steering. As bikes are in fact self-balancing at speed, and controlling the bike is really learning how to throw it off balance in the appropriate way.
The most important skill of all:
Do not chase down female sqwidz or you'll end up eating tarmac. 👇
Is this from experience???....😂
That's how yammie squished two Daytonas
@@feodiente9460 nooooooooo 😜😂
Dude, it's so true though right, I'm over 50 years old and I've found myself, with a glance at shape enough, I didn't chase her, but I would of, it was how close I got to turning around and going her way. lol
if a girl is sqiding she will out whellie yuo
Thanks! Over 300+ videos to learn from :) keep upgrading the software (your skill) before the hardware (your bike) 😉
Yes the most important skill that you always need to work on is the skill of remaining CALM
You scared, you'll squeeze the brake and, you guess it
10:30 gave me anxiety
a year later these tips are helpful, also interesting note, things most people learn in cars have little application to motorcycles BUT a ton of what you learn on a motorcycle applies to becoming a very smooth and confident car driver think of it like a square is a rectangle but a rectangle isn't a square
Most important skill: Buying Motorcycles
True mate buying a bike Is an important skill especially if its used.
Yea, if it’s not an R3 they don’t got that squid instinct
Second more important skill: getting good rates on insurance
I get cheap $100 3rd party insurance, i mode my bike frequently so insurance doesn't make any sense for me
Never buy a new bike, unless it's a first year model you absolutely MUST have. Paying sticker price plus additional dealer fees is insane. Case in point. My WR250R was something like $6,700 new, plus around another $1000 in dealer/delivery fees (not including tax/tag/registration). I bought one that was 3 years old and only had 500 miles on it for $5,500. If it only has 500 miles after 3 years, it's brand new. I've put 5500 miles on it in the past 6 months and it's my first bike. I would have bought a bike with some more miles on it even cheaper, but this was when the Covid lockdowns happened, so I didn't have a lot of choices at the time.
Riding that rear brake and knowing how to use your friction zone are easily the 2 best tips I've ever heard. I've been riding for just over a year (been a watching of Yammie for a couple years) and have never once dropped my baby even in a parking lot. Thanks Yammie! You are doing a great public service and helping keep us squidlets safe on the road!
Care to give some tips on rear brake?
Covid -20 Watch some MotoJitsu vids. But if you lightly press the rear brake while in the friction zone, it helps navigate at low speeds.
I've been 'trail braking' for years, just did not know I was doing it! Until now, Thanks YN.
when on busy roads I always always always keep a car in front of me as a shield so no one pulls out of a parking lot in front of me.
Very smart. Use the bigger vehicles as your safety blanket 🤷🏽♂️
thanks for the tip! you too, Davy Smith. In a noob and every tip helps!
My first motorcycle was given to me. Friend said I could have his Honda 350 if I paid the repair bill. I did. I got on the bike. I had never even sat on a motorcycle in my entire life, much less driven one. It was quite the experience on the freeway the first time. Thankfully I have picked up skills since then. And definitely better bikes. Love the channel!
When you have cruise control on your adventure bike, a good skill is riding with no hands on stretches of hyway. If you have an modular helmet, you can reach into your tank bag have a snack or a drink of water and keep going. This is a skill that has saved me a lot of time when trying to cover a lot of miles in a day.
what? No hands? If my bike was ever lost, they would be able to identify it by the fingerprints embedded in the grips.... Im learning tho...
I wish this comment was a joke but unfortunately weirdos that ride those bikes probably do this shit. And wear modular helmets. Lmao
@@Tdunksmane I respect however you wish to ride. I wouldn’t call you a weirdo but express yourself however wish.
Truly appreciate your videos! Looking forward to getting my bike fixed so that I can begin to practice and become a great rider. This in the mean times helps,so i know what to pay attention to before hand. God bless 🙏🏾!!
Was riding with an older fella a while back. I asked him if there was anything specific he needed me to do. His answer was
'Your only job, is to be totally cognizant of your surroundings, 100% of the time'
MotoJitsu, nice. Fast Eddie's videos are great.
Space Potato thanks!
@@MotoJitsu :O
The first time I rode my first motorcycle I drove it home from the guys house I bought it from and I was holding onto the handle bars so hard😂😂😂. Now I’ll do the take my left hand off and sometimes both
Ive been riding a bike for 3 years consistently and slow maneuvers and gentle braking is something ive already learned just for my own comfort not necessarily convenience
Love the message...and the cocktail lounge music in the background.
i found going on well organised group rides is a good way to learn safe riding at different speeds and transitioning between riding at speed and slow / town riding. riding in a group means you have to react quickly and fluidly. a well organised group will have marshalls (or outriders) that will stop at each junction and either hold traffic or just signal you to change direction.
Good info, Yammie.
Thanks for the advices and reminders
Thanks for the knowledge😍
Emergency braking and dropping your bike! 2 things I've never trained on my course and exactly 2 things why I've failed my exam. Learn to emergency brake not only in theory but in practice, even if your instructor avoids it, just practice it yourself. Also learn your reactions to the bike being dropped after such a braking. On my exam I would brake too strong (wrong) applying full brake immediately (wrong) with my hands straight (wrong) and being on a curve (wrong) and after a full stop I stood on the ground very close to front wheel (wrong) which led me to not being able to control a bike when front shocks gave all the energy back. The bike essentially backed off under my balls, and being on a slight right curve it fell underneath me. Not expecting this I tried to hold the bike with handle bars only (wrong) so I only delayed bike falling to the ground (exam failed), not to mention 2 weeks of right leg and arm strain after such lifting. Good thing: this got me thinking and when similar fall could have happend to my own bike, I was able to prevent it. Once you feel your bike is going to fall, try blocking it with your knee underneath the tank. Works a charm.
thanks i heard it was best to downshift, hit the front breaks until i slowed down enough then stop with the rear brakes for control... that gave me the option to give it throttle and riding off if needed. squeezing the front brakes guarantees the bike will dead stop and then fall Granted, the closest i got to being on a bike was this youtube video. Was i correct?
Bump starting is pretty handy too.
Very nice video, I am a noob and I learn a lot about motorcycles watching your videos, thank you very much! 👍
to touch on the clutch subject. if you ever replace your clutch, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE buy OEM friction disks.
8:00 clip was right next to my house I was like hold up I know that store and bank
Thanks for your new idea😉😊
in NL, the first skill is actually part 1 of our 3 part exam during cycling course, a sort of general vehicle control test. It consists of brake testing, low speed manoeuvres, clutch control and low speed cornering. The second exam is rules en regulations and the third the overall cycling test in live traffic.
I think this is the best way, but man, the slow zig zag was pretty hard to learn!
NL Newfoundland and Lab or New Zealand?
@@ujjwals.dadwal8911 Netherlands. Looks to be the same as Norway.
In Sweden we have two parts. Riding on a closed track where you first; 1) the inspector will ask you to check a specific part of the motorcycle, this is everything from electronics to your complete set of wheels. 2) you will be asked to drive at less than 5 km/h between cones around a track (the hardest part of it all). 3) you will drive at 50 km/h between cones, to later on make an u-turn at low speed and accelerate up again to 50 km/h to a full emergency stop. 4) accelerate from 0-70 km/h and make an emergency stop. Repeat and do the same at 90 km/h.
If you do not pass any of the above you will be granted to do that specific part once again, but only once. They can also say that you are done for the day. Giving you one extra chance depends on the instructor and how much you f'ed up any of the parts. If you pass everything you will be granted for the second part which is the in traffic part.
@@itsmeagain1745 oh and obviously we have two additional courses regarding drugs, alcohol and other dangers. The second course is the slippery condition and emergency braking course. Once one have completed all these you will write a mandatory regulatory test. You can not do anything unless you follow that specific order. Failure to do so will not let you partake in the driving test I wrote above
Don’t thank me thank you, I’ve learned so much just watching your vids
Okay, that was a classy move... mentioning other YT channels to learn more about riding.... hats off Mr. Noob. :D
Love the yam master
Dude, I respect the Chopin music background.
Thanks for this. 👍
Great video, how about engine braking or what to do with a blow out.
Pro tip: Skip the first minute and a half.
I took my mirrors off when I got my first bike. Really taught me to look around and not rely on the mirrors. Plus the damn things just kept wobbling around anyway
If you can use the rear brake (and the front one! smoothly of course...) in a corner, it will perhaps save you…..
Wow good info I didn't know bad oil would show via clutch function.
Very informative, Great Video✨
wow, this is the first day i begun my red phase at bct last year...
Stevie Wonder can ONLY do a U turn if he doesn't look where he is going.
That's funnier than it should be...😂😂
thanks for shouting out other you-tubers your da ultimate yam.
Best motorcycle channel 👌🏻
Great video, Yammie! What is your advice on avoiding potholes, rocks, larger than normal debris & animals? Thank you.
7:59 I live a block away from that street oh my god lol
look where you're going but look in the mirrors, and look over your shoulders and dont forget to look at the intersections and look into the turn but don't get target fixation looking too much but dont look around and focus looking where you're going and look for traffic and regular dangers on the road and look before you change lanes a look cool doing it looking everyonce alltimes neverover all time never too much but not, not enough though.....got it!!
Thank you
Bought my first bike 5 days ago, I have dropped it from a stand still about 5 times now.... Good thing I bought my used
Matthew Escobedo shoulda bought a scooter
You can't desire to do a U-turn and continue to look forward. LOL I will definitely remember this part
7:59-8:09 Oh wow I live close to that area in San Jose, CA. XD
Tyre pressure is a major reason for good stearing Or handling. Should be checked and considered.
Proper shifting video would be cool. A lot of folk’s experience with a manual vehicle is an old S10 or something. Probably already made 4 videos on it though
I hit the like button right after that intro
Yammie: “It’s your boy - gallon of lube, big ol tube, yammie noob!”
Me: *Pause video, plays it back, pauses again, nods head with grin of approval, hits “like” and “subscribe” button😂
I’m a simple man
😂😂😂
With the exception of turning braking and accelerating I ride perfectly
Things o didn't do during MSF course check mirrors.. the motorcycle wave or motorcycle signals
I am just trying to watch every video I know it's been 9 years -+ but my goal is to watch all your videos I ride but my experience is limited so I try to remain teachable
I’m not too worried about slow speed maneuvers cause ima be practicing them like crazy in my culdesac, the biggest thing I’m worried about is taking corners at speed, I don’t want my wanna fall off mid corner
With any awd vehicle throttle control helps a lot too
That's my favorite Nocturne!
And yea im on the toilet again, greetings from Germany xD
Hi back from my own toilet at Greece🤙
Thats true i about where you stare is where you steer. I dont own a motorcycle but i ride bmx.
Yammie: *posts*
My peepee: *woke*
I feel uncomfortable
Was it baby butt smooth from using code yammie20 on mandcaped products? If not you should be ashamed of yourself...
You make a video about bikes, and you put Chopin as sound
You have my respect
7:59 tully road san jose ca. 🥳
Lol the searchbox at 11:03 😂😂
How in the hell did you catch that
im a noob , sold my last bike at the age 20 , but got me a little funny on at 49 , i think down shift breaking is a good thing to , it just fealt so natural to do it , I'm hope I'm right :)
You can talk about the pressure you feel from the cars behind you as a new rider. How to stay calm and when you can tell you are not ready to be in traffic yet.
Michelle Gonzalez nah you can’t ride scared that’s how an accident happens
@@supermane36 True, but we've all been nervous the first few times driving in traffic.
Anny tip and tricks abouth how to look at where you are going (to turn) and look if other cars are comming at the same time?
Another thing you can do with braking is the engine brake. Semi Trucks also use this technique to slow down after hill and before turns
Braking techniques: For this reason alone (not that the other techniques taught in this video aren't lifesaving), I believe everyone should ride a 2 wheeler before getting their first car. As the brake feathering and smooth application of brake pressure transfers to 4 wheeler drivers as well.
I often stay bereft of speech when I see new drivers, and seasoned alike, punching and jerking their brakes (common amongst city bus drivers). Not only does it suck for the commuter or passenger, but that kind of jerky driving is more likely to jack up your ride; be it your brake disks, axle, chassis, or suspension among others.
Braking smoothly has to be the MOST important overall for safety and vehicle longevity
Im stealing that filibuster joke. Bravo yammie.
Hey you should make a review of the Domio Moto Pro LoL! It is so dope
The whole, "Looking where you're going" thing cannot be overstated enough. While I was in the MSF, it was a bit of a learning curve, but once I trusted myself and the bike enough to be able to fully turn my head, doing tight turns and U-turns was a cinch.
Perhaps do a video comparing turns when you're looking at your desired exit point and when you're looking elsewhere. It may help new riders understand it a bit better.
That purple tree at like 10:43 was sick looking

Mantap ini tutor
I hoped on a 2008 R6s with 0 experience and 0 knowledge just to try it out, currently own the bike.
7:20 a little girl once ran in front of me out of her house while i was going 60kmph and se was like 10m in front of me and i got jump scared and pulled front brake first witch leaded into a stoppie, needless to say im fine and the girl ran out of the way in time so she is fine
Most important thing you really need: discipline.
this video came out one year ago today and i was about to go sign up on patreon for the giveaway lol
I’ve been riding manual dirt bikes/ four wheelers all my life and I rode a friends automatic dirtbike and I kept hitting the front brake thinking it was the clutch
Damn bro that sucks. Went over the bars on a qaud when I was young. Not from front brake but that feeling sucks. I would of hit that front brake too haha
I've done that in a car fml
Hello Yammy!!
Ya one good one is to stop you need to do back brake and then frort break.
Im a seasoned rider but i like watching these just to agree with everything lol
I was advised, early in the piece, to sit on the bike, both feet on the ground, engine idling in neutral. Then, in order, put both feet on the rests, pull in the clutch, engage first gear, let out the clutch and ride away. If you can control the bike at low speeds, high speed control is easier.
The rural footage, riding on the left...Where is it? Australia?
Bert Meinders looks like it
thanks for the tip.... have yet to even see a bike up close...lol
in the netherlands you learn this all during you driver licens
All of them are very helpful, +1 thumb up
Now where's my 125cc motorcycle?
Video starts at 1:40 Youre welcome
I've never stalled a motorcycle/dirtbike on take off. Rough starts hell yeah im sorry clutch. But in a car. Good God it took me forever to get my first truck to move lol
Advanced Skill - How to remove tar spots from your fairing 10:29
Hey, what lever were you using on that kawasaki? the orange clutch and brake levers?
