for me watching it 14 days after the video was released is kind of sus, youtube telling me it was from 1 year ago. I watched your journey since floating in the dead sea, jordan, and you are inspirational to me! You gaved me the necesary courage to travel and i bought a month vacation in south america, and i can approve , you only need like $2000 a month if you have standard prices, and that can be easily optained if you have a job that can be done on the internet, like me as an example, being a programmer. Did you visit Macchu Picchu while in Cuzco? Also, Lima is beautiful. Did you have the time to visit it? Btw, i found a route that is a bit easier. Lima -> Bogota , Colombia. Bogota -> LA -> melbourne

I have a flight in February where going back to Aus too , but I have a 12 hour layover in LAX , I really want to go explore a little instead of waiting at the airport. Do you recommend this idea ? How long does checking in take usually or traffic etc ? I arrive at LAX around 8:00am and my flight leaves at 8:00pm and flying with Qantas.

You could go check out Venice beach and Santa Monica for the day. Just make sure you get back to the airport with lots of time because the traffic can be slow. Very slow haha

Fun fact: Looking on Google Flights, I found that you can go from Lima, Peru to Melbourne, Australia for £12,660 (A$24,127).
And, before I forget, in FIRST CLASS.
With three stops: Miami (4h), Los Angeles (3h) and Sydney (5½h)
Total travel time of 40 and a half hours, that's just under two days.
