Simon is very clever. He makes balls not easy for the opponent to control. He's gonna be the only possibility to take down chinese players who rule the world so far. One thing I wanna ask for Gauzy is to get more confident. you're the one, man.

Jin Su Choi I used to play a lot ( few hours a day ) during holiday and internships. I'd love to play in beginner tournaments etc but I am 6'6 and prefer to continue bodybuilding, I don't think the combination works

What an amazing game
Gauzy fought very well, but you can see how fast Ma Long is. Gauzy has an outstanding touch, so he manages to put back balls on the table he doesn't have a good position on, but many times, eg. with his forehand, he is late and only has time to somehow hit the ball back, and can't make a quality and powerful shot. Ma Long's footwork is also more precise. Great match!
A one hour long thriller for his injury comeback.

If Ma Long is the Dictator then Simon Gauzy is the entertainer... really fun to watch ....he also gave Lin Yun Ju a really good game at the Austrian Open (i think) ... there were a few vital points where he went (and missed) the nearside Forehand whilst Ma Long was stranded. Oh so nearly!

@@FlolebonStudio No, his ball looks like it has more spin, because the trajectory is higher making the curve on the ball look more obvious. Ma long's shot is very low and fast, and I think it has even more spin

Gauzy was determined and close to winning.
At the end Simon missed all crucial shots, even easy ones while having set ball in the 6th set. Could have gone either way. He is the most entertaining player on the tour even surpasses XX I have to admit. So many bananas and snakes and strawberrys :D.
2019 ITTF Men's World Cup !!!!!! If this was snail race ,quality is superb ! Table tennis ...who cares ,we want to hear people screaming mad and we adore 4 pixels with tons of motion blur .

he's playing much better against Dima rn, had a slow start the first 2 games but got going now.
Give some credit to Simon. Simon’s excellent play made Ma Long seemed in a bad shape but this is not entirely correct.
In a zero sum game like table tennis and football, my good is your bad. Simon stifled Ma Long’s rally play with his excellent placement of balls on several occasions but Ma Long finally adapted to Simon’s strategy.

Yup, this is one of the reasons the sport doesn't have much of a following. These are premier events with actioned packed games ....at the the sport can do is to help itself! Can we please send emails to the ITTF else nothing gets done. I personally think the colour schemes of the table/flooring are also important ...the traditional blue (table) on red (flooring) really strains my eyes. In this case with pink or green flooring it works much better.

Ma Long actually was never very confident against Simon Gauzy. He lost a few games before winning the match in their last 2 encounters.
@WARRIOR FIGHTER PAHLAWAN Nope. I've checked the record. Ma Long never beat Simon 4:0. Also, I said Ma Long lost a few games but not matches. A game is a set of points to 11 or otherwise till a 2 point difference is achieved. A match is a set of games played out until one player wins usually 3 or 4 games for victory.

He has all the talent in the world but doesnt train as hard cos all the clubs are paying him tens of thousands
he struggles near the table and is easy push away. This is his biggest weakness.
