For great people or people of higher consciousness, names do not matter as you said. The Bhagavatas (the non-brahmins devotees of Lord Vishnu) do not worship the Lord for any material benefit like getting a fame from their names. The speaker is D A Joseph but he was given the name by his guru Joseph Iyengar. So, the word Iyengar matters much to the speaker only because the name comes with association of thoughts. He will be accepted by Brahmin community and others. But for real Bhagavatas, no such expectations. Their bhakti is beyond any expectation. Bhatkit for Bhakit sake for Perumal. We find it in Azhwaars: they did not worship Perumal with any expectation. In all paasurams, one message is clear to us: namely, the worship of Perumal is for Peruaml only. பச்சை மா மலை போல் மேனி பவள வாய் கமலச் செங்கண் அச்சுதா அமரர் ஏறே ஆயர் தம் கொழுந்தே என்னும் இச்சுவை தவிர நான் போய் இந்திர லோகம் ஆளும் அச்சுவை பெறினும் வேண்டேன் அரங்க மா நகர் உளானே - This pasuram says he wants only the worship of Perumal. He does not even do it with the hope of getting Moksham. In other passurams, he says he is ready to cast off all material things like his acharams, his kudumi, his punuul for the sake of his worship. This is the essence of bhakti. To conclude, I could say: for small men, names such as Brahmin, Iyers, Iyengars, come with benefits. They want it. For Bhagavata, it does not matter whether you call him a Brahamin or a dalit or any other name or even a dog (many dalits devotees were called such names by brahmins and others and even beaten up, in the history of religion). Suppose the Bhagavata is like this speaker interested in the name such as Iyengar, he ceases to be a devotee of Lord Vishnu as his bhakti gets defiled and he becomes like us.

First of all, it's difficult to understand what you write. Your English is confusing. From whatever I understand from your post, let me clarify your doubts as far as I can. In fact, it is the speaker in the video who should come forward to clarify but I don't think he will because much of what you wrote is sarcastic. Your main point is about non-brahmins becoming brahmins as equals. The idea that he speaks of in this videa is Thenkalai concepts. Indeed, the book he reads Acharya Hridyam and its explanation are both by Brahmins or the poorvacharyas namely Pillai Logar and Manavala Mamunikal. Their book is not accepted by Vadakalai. Vadakalai believes exactly as you believe: none can be a brahminan except Brahmanan who are so by birth. Our births decide our varna and varnas are not tranferable. However good and however great and pure one's devotion to the Lord Vishnu, he cannot become equal to Brahmin - exactly for the reason you said namely there are karmas which are done by Brahmins and which cannot be performed by non-brahmins; and there 're are karmas which come from earlier births and which ought to be lived in this birth. As D A Joseph himself said here, our punya of all previous births make us born as Brahmins. So, being a brahmin means so many things which are unattainable to others and which cannot be erased in order to make a non brahmin equal to a brahmi . Any amount of devotions to Lord Vishnu makes a non-brahmin equal to brahmin. These are Vadakalai views. As they put it in Tamil, காமதேனுவே ஆனாலும் பசுத்தன்மை போகாது. By using this yerdstick, even the low-caste Azhwaars like Thirumazhiyisai, Thirupaanar, Nammazhwaar and Thirumangai are not equal to a Brahimianan. They continue to be the lower castes. But this sounds sacriligeious; hence the history of these non-brahmin Azhawaars is written to say that they were not indeed born to lower caste people but only brought up among lower castes. D A Joseph cites the case of Thirumaziyisai Azhwaar. So, the Vaakalai escapes from committing sacriliege by creating a different high births to these Azhwaars. To sum up, you live as per your Vadakalai and the speech here is an explanation of Thenkalai concept.

The pasurams which are displayed on boards in temples are in tamil but it's hard in understand them ; you may please use your good office to rewrite them by splitting the words which we can understand to some extent for chanting. Can i ask a doubt? The caste system is different to Varnas if Im not wrong because caste means jaathi Example: a man in the recent time is also divided according to the work he does just like those days as chettiyars, mudaliyaars, nadars, gounders etc.

This pasuram says he wants only the worship of Perumal. He does not even do it with the hope of getting Moksham. In other passurams, he says he is ready to cast off all material things like his acharams, his kudumi, his punuul for the sake of his worship. This is the essence of bhakti.
To conclude, I could say: for small men, names such as Brahmin, Iyers, Iyengars, come with benefits. They want it. For Bhagavata, it does not matter whether you call him a Brahamin or a dalit or any other name or even a dog (many dalits devotees were called such names by brahmins and others and even beaten up, in the history of religion). Suppose the Bhagavata is like this speaker interested in the name such as Iyengar, he ceases to be a devotee of Lord Vishnu as his bhakti gets defiled and he becomes like us.
He is simply D.A. Joseph no suffix of Iyengar. In a time when even original chettiyar, mudaliar are not adding last names for fear of Dravidians, how can speaker add such a last name?😂

(The second part of) a Brahmana’s (name) shall be (a word) implying happiness, of a Kshatriya’s (a word) implying protection, of a Vaisya’s (a term) expressive of thriving, and of a Sudra’s (an expression) denoting service.
He has given many lectures on Manu Smriti. You can listen to them. But be prepared he won't touch such slokas as you have cited.

First of all, it's difficult to understand what you write. Your English is confusing. From whatever I understand from your post, let me clarify your doubts as far as I can. In fact, it is the speaker in the video who should come forward to clarify but I don't think he will because much of what you wrote is sarcastic. Your main point is about non-brahmins becoming brahmins as equals. The idea that he speaks of in this videa is Thenkalai concepts. Indeed, the book he reads Acharya Hridyam and its explanation are both by Brahmins or the poorvacharyas namely Pillai Logar and Manavala Mamunikal. Their book is not accepted by Vadakalai. Vadakalai believes exactly as you believe: none can be a brahminan except Brahmanan who are so by birth. Our births decide our varna and varnas are not tranferable. However good and however great and pure one's devotion to the Lord Vishnu, he cannot become equal to Brahmin - exactly for the reason you said namely there are karmas which are done by Brahmins and which cannot be performed by non-brahmins; and there 're are karmas which come from earlier births and which ought to be lived in this birth. As D A Joseph himself said here, our punya of all previous births make us born as Brahmins.
