I need a baby said her on here way She left me raining tears that day Okay I said not to beg her to stay Happiness for her a child I did pray With a boy she came back without delay Now she's gone she passed away.
Down by the sea to find tranquility Ocean force is gentle as it can be For that I show it this sea humility For it will wake up its a guarantee To bring rain an restore soil fertility
This wonderful song by the Cascades was a molten hot fave of the 60's and is loved even to this day in 2024. The tune became so popular, its been widely used as a ring tone in mobiles.
Reminds me of riding shotgun in the front seat of our '64 chevy down the highway with the wipers slapping the windshield. Perfectly safe and happy with my Angelic Mom singing alone to the tune. Absolute perfect memory of the happiest time in my life.
😢Made me cry. But what does these days. 😂 I lost my mom when I was 23. I was married pregnant just bought a house. And my mom was dying of cancer. I wish I could tell the world to love and get to know your mother. Before it’s to late.
2023, and i still see you sitting next to me in Harry's 55 Chevy back in the early 60's on Kenmore ave, ''Sandi'' i still and will always care about you
I heard this song when I was a child. I felt nothing but queer at that time. As a Cantonese speaking Hong Kong child, the song was an eye opener which brended weather with love and a lot of thought. Acturally, songs of this sort lifted me to a new level of learning with enjoyment. Thanks a lot.
This is a song which will never grow old. I once received an email many years ago from John Gummoe the lead singer of the cascades thanking me for complimenting him on the song. He was on his way to the Philippines he told me as they are big there.
It always amazes me to hear stories about groups blowing up in another country, often countries where English isn't even the first language. I know this because I have been an amateur scholar of music for quite some time thanks to the advent of CZcams and the internet in general. What's also amazing is that a song can appear in an ad or a movie 20 years after it was popular and the song will hit the charts again, sometimes even rising all the way to number one.
Inlove this song again and again. Im not born in 60’s but i love all old song specially like this. 2024 its still inlove this songs. More childhood memories listening this song.❤
"Rhythm Of The Rain" lyrics Song: THE CASCADES Lyricist: GUMMOE JOHN C Composer: GUMMOE JOHN C Listen to the rhythm of the falling rain Telling me just what a fool I've been I wish that it would go and let me cry in vain And let me be alone again The only girl I care about has gone away Looking for a brand new start But little does she know that when she left that day Along with her she took my heart Rain, please tell me now does that seem fair For her to steal my heart away when she don't care I can't love another when my heart's somewhere far away The only girl I care about has gone away Looking for a brand new start But little does she know that when she left that day Along with her she took my heart Rain, won't you tell her that I love her so Please ask the sun to set her heart aglow Rain in her heart and let the love we knew start to grow Listen to the rhythm of the falling rain Telling me just waht a fool I've been I wish that it would go and let me cry in vain And let me be alone again Oh listen to the pouring rain Pitter patter, pitter patter Oh, oh, oh, listen to, listen to the falling rain Pitter patter, pitter patter Oh, oh, oh, listen to, listen to the falling rain
I was 15 in 1963 when this was released, and such a punk ass, it's a miracle I didn't step over to the dark side do something terrible and end up in jail or Juvenile Detention as they used to call it. But with the grace of God I somehow escaped managing to eventually get a double degree in English and Chemistry despite our family being little more than dirt poor Kansas 'Okies' who left the farm and went to Denver for a better life. It was the best decision my father ever made.
We danced with my classmates to this song not knowing the meaning of it since we were children, listening to it again as an adult, can deeply resonate to it
Eight Billion people Live on Earth Mothers sisters Fathers an others Every Single one is of the Worth To Give Earth yet birth of another Bringing love an peace with mirth
Listen Pitter pat of falling rain Forget the one you loved in vain Before pain will drive you insane Love again like links are a chain Maintain you've everything to gain
i have always loved this song ,it also reminds of the first girl i had a crush on in jr high school, i always think of her when i hear this song, it been over 60 years

"Rhythm Of The Rain" lyrics
Song: THE CASCADES
Lyricist: GUMMOE JOHN C
Composer: GUMMOE JOHN C
Listen to the rhythm of the falling rain
Telling me just what a fool I've been
I wish that it would go and let me cry in vain
And let me be alone again
The only girl I care about has gone away
Looking for a brand new start
But little does she know that when she left that day
Along with her she took my heart
Rain, please tell me now does that seem fair
For her to steal my heart away when she don't care
I can't love another when my heart's somewhere far away
The only girl I care about has gone away
Looking for a brand new start
But little does she know that when she left that day
Along with her she took my heart
Rain, won't you tell her that I love her so
Please ask the sun to set her heart aglow
Rain in her heart and let the love we knew start to grow
Listen to the rhythm of the falling rain
Telling me just waht a fool I've been
I wish that it would go and let me cry in vain
And let me be alone again
Oh listen to the pouring rain
Pitter patter, pitter patter
Oh, oh, oh, listen to, listen to the falling rain
Pitter patter, pitter patter
Oh, oh, oh, listen to, listen to the falling rain
Are you stupid or a clout farmer.
The lyrics are in the video.
