A Rig Welders Favorite Time Of the Year

- Welcome back to another episode of Schofield welding. All year long we work out on the road. We have been in Colorado for going on almost 3 years but every year we finish the last weld on Wednesday the day before thanksgiving we are getting loaded up and headed home to the family. In this episode we head straight to Wyoming to Eliza’s family where we have thanksgiving day. One of my favorite traditions is Christmas tree hunting. We head straight to the mountains in waist deep snow which I love to find the perfect tree. After which we head back to the house to have a great Turkey dinner. Idaho Bound Friday we take a 8 hr trip to Idaho for the Schofield family thanksgiving mom and dad rented a cabin for the weekend where everyone came to enjoy. Schofield man I tell ya, you inspire me to work as hard as I can to get to where I want to be. The constant positive attitude you maintain, the love you have for your family, and you overall personality helps me be a better person. The world is bitter and cruel, dog eat dog everywhere I look, except for your videos. I am in the process of making a huge life and career change getting into rig welding. I have met countless naysayers who look at all the obstacles and say you can’t do that! I don’t let their negativity get to me. I know what I want and I won’t stop until I achieve my goals. As a parent both my son's came over for Thanksgiving, we went fishing in the morning and shooting in the afternoon. Spent time with my granddaughter. Had a great time being with them. I'm sure your parents feel the same way about you. I'm very proud of my son's, your parents must be very proud of you. Never miss an opportunity to tell them how much I love them , as your parents say the same to you. Be blessed and enjoy life.

Ya can go to a tech school and get your certs also you can join a union as a helper and learn that way just look up you're nearest welding union if you wanna go that route ( I'm a shop welder but I hope this helps)

This is the shittiest part of the year. There’s no work. I wish I could work right though the holidays. The holidays are just in the way.
