Dude I checked this out last might with a few friends on twitch and it was so much fun! The Buffs, the power, the resistance, the rivalry debuff, and the babies too! Not to mention the taming medthods! Way more! these things are awesome and he did a great job on them~!

@@neilthegreatotterfromarkbi30 That’s probably because I posted a comment really similar to this on his Twitter post regarding the update. I like the joke of the mammoth and deinotherium being these hulking beasts and the phioma is just the elephant relative everyone refers to as just a pig that’s used for fertilizer.
@@peabrain6872 correct, phiomia was an early primitive proboscidean that lived long before later forms like deinotherium and mammuthus primigenius

Im not agree with you for the mammoth because in TLC 3 he can reduce dmg from enemys players and if 2 players riding the mammoth that do a boost dmg to the mammoth and protect hemself and others from the yutyrannus roar mammoth is a good war machine too but deinotherium is better and stronger
Its a very minor detail, but I like how the elephants foot spreads out a little when it puts weight on it, it really seems like its supporting the weight of a huge animal.

Me whose wanted this in the game for so long crossing it off a big ass list of prehistoric mammals and birds I want so I can finally have a prehistoric Ark version of the Serengeti: *Ah yes, one step closer.*

@@stevenlamarche8416 Thanks for asking, warning it’s a long list since I’ve had creatures I wanted in the game from when I first started playing but I’d consider these worth looking into as they are very interesting to learn about. For just birds and mammals my list is

@@stevenlamarche8416 I do to, but I also hope that a few of them get added to the official game/to consoles or are in Ark 2. If any free maps are coming after Fjordur I’d hope they’d have at least a handful of these, and having most of them in Ark 2 would give a wider cast of extinct birds and mammals. It would also just make the games wildlife feel more diverse/primal.
There's a mod map modeled off an actual topographical section of Madagascar. It looks very much like a Serengeti. lol

1:05 I would love if there was a map so caravans like that would be an actual thing you had to do. A giant dune map where resources are sparse, there are a few oases (but if you use them too much the water will run out or something), and there's basically nowhere to build that isn't uneven dunes, so the best way to live is to move from one spot to another. Traveling across the dunes could take several ingame days just because of how big the map is..... and now I'm just fantasizing

Every time I see one of these creatures, I get angrier at not being able to download mods on console... or straight out these creatures not becoming official, they are way so amazing
Just wait until ARK 2! ARK 2 has mod support on console and we'll be bringing these guys over when the time comes! You won't have to wait too much longer!
I feel your pain. I love this Nigel thornberry looking Deinotherium but it just sucks for us Ps4 Ark players since we can't use them. :(

best unconventional taming method I've seen in the game, I hope we get similar mechanics in ARK II cause it's really cool to have to pay attention to what the deinothere wants in order to tame it
They look fantastic. I hope these make it to the official game in the sequel. Ark 2 could benefit from having a wider cast of big mammals/herbivores. I’ve personally wanted this creature in for a while now, so glad it’s part of the game in some way.
Yeah I hope ARK 2 will focus on Prehistoric Animals and not as much on Fantasy Animals like with the Expansion Packs and all that did.
@@cyborgparrot1996 I don’t mind the fantasy creatures much, I quite like a few of them but I’d have to agree with you. After the creature votes there’s a lot of prehistoric animals I’d like to see in Ark 2. Be cool to see Ark 2 go back to more of Ark 1’s original roots.
Herbivores especially got the short end of the stick with ARK, hopefully they add some from mods like this one and Additional Creatures series…
@@somerandomperson6511 funny considering in ARK: Survival Ascended, they did somewhat recently add Ceratosaurus and Xiphactinus from the mod to the base game, so the rest of this mods unique creatures have a shot to make it in

I got sick with covid during the month of June and I had to hold off on working on it. It'll be out next week, Deinotherium just took priority because of it being released today

Ark has been adding a lot of favorites recently. The deinotherium is huge! Twice as tall as a giraffe but weighs 14 times as much! I love prehistoric creatures. I kind of fell like the howda for the deinotherium should have had a gun nest of some sort.

3 this thing only came out 1 month after the helicoprion
4 Garuga better add a big ceratopsian next like the titanoceratops or pentaceratops
Shadlos has a spectacular Giant ceratopsian in Pentaceratops. It genuinely feels like the apex herbivore of Extinction, though it’s still awesome on other maps if you port it over.
These guys turned out amazing. You folks did an apsolutly fantastic job with this one. Animations as always are top notch and the cinematography is briliant.
Model looks great as well tho my only tiny tiny thing is that the tusks come out of the chin instead of the mouth and if memory servers me right by the time some folks over on Discord pointed it out it was too far in development to change. Not that it makes the model look bad or anything its just one of those things that when you know about it or notice it you just cant unsee it so all chin tuskered Deinotheriums look odd.
It's all good. Yeah it kind of was a recent thing we came across. Had we had known prior its tusks would've come out of the mouth instead
