Hunt For The Black Kyber Crystal - Galaxy's Edge Kyber Unboxing

- Every lightsaber in the Star Wars universe is powered by a Kyber Crystal (and so is the death star) so naturally when Disney brought out Galaxy's Edge and the ability to build your own lightsaber at Dok Ondar's Den of Antiquities...it only made sense to be able to choose the lightsaber colour of your choice by selecting your own kyber crystal (kiber crystal).
In addition Disney allow you to buy kyber crystals at the park with a mystery element behind them - with random characters such as obi wan kenobi, luke skywalker, darth maul, ahsoka etc being available depending on the colour crystal chosen but only revealed when you put the crystal in a holocron.
But disney were crafty and created an extra rare mystery blind bag / blind box placing the rare black obsidian kyber crystal for the character of snoke within the standard red kyber crystals.
Not only was it a mystery which sith character you would get but now it was a mystery to see if you could get this rare crystal.

Thought it was going to be a complete bust so really happy 😊 the darksaber would have made so much more sense as a style / character!

Yeah but it's more for bragging rights, it does give you a exclusive holocron voice but other than that it's the exact same as a red crystal, turns the blade red and has the same sound font
Yeah they made them as a special ‘blind bag’ extra. When they first came out people went crazy to find them and were doing loads of stuff to cheat - like shining a torch through the capsule - so Disney cracked down and altered the packaging
@@slowazzd2165 feels like they missed a trick not giving it a unique blade effect, sound or colour

@@order66collectibles No problem, Ive been collecting these for a while now and have all 17 character variants of the Crystals (4 red, 1 black, 2 white, 2 green, 2 blue, 2 purple, 2 yellow and 2 Force Guidance). I love these toys and have a number of videos about them on my own channel. I've just gotten into the Droid depot RC droids as well and will be filming some stuff about them soon. It's a shame the Galaxy's Edge stuff is not a bit more available here in the UK. I use Double Boxed Toys who are excellent, but it would be nice to have a direct Disney outlet here.
@@paulsstuff1969 ah I’m the same, just a bit behind with the kybers. I’ve managed to complete all the other colours but the red set/black had escaped me until now. I’m hoping that I’ll get Vader in the surplus reds (I have SO many dooku doubles) to finish them off.
I use doubleboxedtoys too and their customer service has been absolutely fantastic in my experience and if you catch a sale you’re basically paying standard retail which is really good. There just doesn’t seem to be any consistency with what shopdisney releases on the US market vs UK annoyingly

Ive just checked and the only duplicate red I have is an Emperor Palpatine one, so unfortunately no help in your search for the Vader crystal. Hopefully as you say one of your surplus red crystals will be Vader. I believe it will be one of the medium cut crystals.
I just got a Droid Depot R2 RC droid from Double Boxed Toys, it had to be picked in one of the parks in the US, but they still had it to me in 4 days!!! I've had deliveries just within the UK take way longer than that.

100% agree on that speed with double boxed toys - I put an order through with them the other day and received stuff they’d imported while I’m still waiting for something from someone else within the Uk!!
