- I’m pretty sure you guys already know not to go into the beauty supply stores to buy hair in 2023. But, wow. The environment of a beauty supply store has changed so much. And I’m not just talking about the prices. I missed when it was fun and exciting. But anywho, here’s a detail review (yes detailed, even though the video is 5 mins 🤭) of Sensationnel Butta Lace.

I’m so blessed to have the beauty supply store that I go to. They have 50 percent off day one day a month and they treat us like family . Today I went and they were calling my daughter by name and we both were like wait you know her name , and the worker was like yes girl y’all family . My heart smiled ! They help me pick out my wigs , make sure I have a list ready for 50 percent off day, make sure I get the right color … they are the bomb and I’m going to actually miss them when I move
I went to the beauty supply store one day and they were selling Bobbie boss wigs for $100 😬. With how popular synthetic wigs have gotten, they know some people are willing to pay the price and some people don’t realize they can buy them online for cheaper.
The beauty supply stores are getting beside themselves!!! I stopped buying wigs in store yeeears ago. Anything more than $50 for a synthetic wig is wild. Thank goodness for Amazon!!! That prime shipping is everything.
Yeah, they got me too. I wasn’t planning on getting a wig but my daughter talked me into trying one on and I actually liked it. It was priced at $99 but was “on sale” so I got it for $67. Googled it when I got home, and it was $49. I normally shop at Blk owned beauty supply stores if I can find one!!! These other ppl 😑 are rude AF and triple charge for everything!!!!
They act like you public enemy number one. The convenience of buying it right there always makes me give in. Sometimes I used to get the wigs that were already on display because it would actually look better once it was manipulated vs straight out the pack. They’ll give you prices off of that too. I just walk in and try to hurry up out of there.

I think they charge so much for convenience since u can just walk out with a wig. Ah, back when I was younger all we bought was from the store until we were smart enough to order online lol nonetheless gorgeous wig and color on you!
I went to the beauty supply store and xpression a is 7$, I go online and they are 3.99 so I bought 27 packs of hair. Never going to a beauty supply store ever again.
I don’t buy wigs to often, but I have notice they seem to be higher in stores. What I do like about most websites is that you can earn points & get discounts. Love the finish look. 🙂

I remember going to beauty supply stores for the first time after shopping online and the prices were ridiculous! Half-wigs that were $15 online were double or more than that price in the beauty supply store.
Omg this one B.S.S by my house will send one of the workers to literally follow you the entire time you are shopping but they play it off like there being helpful "hey do you like this color I think this would look good on you" 😒 like please leave me alone 😅 I know what I want

I knew I had to stop going to the beauty supply store when I bought the NYX brow gel and saw the exact same one at HEB. It was cheaper at HEB and that’s when I knew I was done with beauty supplies 😂

WE should not shop where we are exploited and disrespected. They don't contribute nor live in the community. If WE stop shopping at their stores they will leave the area. Everything is available online. Yes the same people own the online stores but at least the BLATANT disrespect is not there. We are the customer base but not the stakeholders. It is what it is but you don't have to pay double or triple the prices at a Beauty Supply when you can buy online and have free shipping..

I Understand you’re are coming from ..that happened to me in the beauty supply shop and I completely stopped going to the beauty supply stores and just order everything I need online including my hair and it’s way cheaper online anyway. I like this hair On you and looks beautiful❤. I may order this one🔥cut it a little.
BSS most likely aren’t buying one style/color wig by the pallet… The online stores buy things by the 100’s-1000’s, which makes the wholesale price go WAY down. Compared to a way smaller brick & mortar store that may buy only 10-20 wigs of one style/color. And the bss typically are just selling to a community of one city/town vs the entire country/world.

I agree with you i felt so uncomfortable over the weekend went to a grand opening store in my neighborhood. They had a security guard in it and he was following me and my kids on ever aisle waiting for us to steal!! Looking at us with a mean mug..I rather shop online and its cheaper online.

What in the sixty four dollars and nintey nine cents yellow price tag is that!?!?!?!?! Honestly so many of our hair and beauty stores have closed down in my town and this is why. You can get 2 units online with that price. And thats also another reason why they're closing because you can buy all types of wigs online from the comfort of your home. I just got this way yesterday and I absolutely hate it. It is so thick like it looks nothing like the one you have. I got the one with a mocha like color enzyme. Yeah it tangles really bad really really bad girls so get ready for that just it’s I don’t even think cutting it would help. This is probably one of the worst but at least wings I’ve ever gotten I wouldn’t get this one ever again and now I’m stuck with it.

Yeah the one I go to in Chicago (if you are from there) on 87th, the prices are crazy. But the inventory they have is insane. About as big as Walmarts.
