Kim Fields is and always will be a legend. No scandals ever attached to her name or anything, and she has so much class, grace, wisdom and work ethics. She never needed to go on Housewives, she was to much of a legend for that show.

I respectfully disagree. The "stereotypical" bafoonery takes us back to Fred & Ester from Sanford and Son with Sykes and Epps. I gave it 2 episodes and couldn't take the "reinforcements" the status quo that lends itself to the division in the culture and the "vilification" that displays us in our "worst" light......and justifies the ongoing violence against us by "dominant" society.

I have an Esther, Fred, Regina, Bennie, Lucretia in my family and on my in-laws side. They tease, disagree but at the end of the day, they DO NOT PLAY about their family!
I've always had the utmost respect for Kim Fields and Regina King. They've stayed above the madness.

I still watch Living Single it'll never get old to me and I'm glad she said what she said about the reunion, because in my opinion we need to leave these classic shows alone because it'll never be what it was back then and, in this day, and age people are sensitive, and you have to watch what you say so yeah. All and all this interview is one of my top favorites from the Breakfast club.
I have been watching like 3 episodes a day for the past week, just because. This show never gets old.
Yes. Not everything needs a reboot. Think of all the classics that could never be remade in today's PC culture.

Sista Kim was dropping all sorts of gems. "Life begins at the end of your comfort zone." "Find a need and fill it. Or if you see a need, then fill that." And this one right here at 36:21 can be used in everyday life, "Manage your expectations." Oh, the wisdom! Then there was this gem, "...I don't live in regrets. I mean, what's the point of that! That's energy that can be used for something else." You better drop those gems, Kim. And this one courtesy of Kim's mom Ms. Chip, "You start at 100%, and everything that you do and say every day that you're here, either keeps you here [at 100%], or it can chip away." All these gems are great food for thought. I am sufficiently filled. Be Blessed people.

She always marched to her own drum. I remember when she was boycotting issues in the 90's and getting detained. Kim has always been forward thinking. I absolutely love her.

I watch Living Single every single day wether it’s on tv or on Hulu. The theme song just makes me think of NY in the 90s and I’m not even from NY but it’s just so nostalgic and makes me think of the 90s growing up. Tv isn’t the same.

She was too good of a person to humble and down to earth she had to dig too deep to try and be petty and shady like them house wives ho’s … especially when Kenya was coming for her and her husband showed how nasty of a woman Kenya really is and a lot of the other ones smh I was happy she got of that show it was soooo beneath her.
Kim still looks the same. She didn't get a bunch of plastic surgery, she is still naturally beautiful, and that is why people still recognize her. She looks gorgeous! A lot of these entertainers today need to take notes.

As a little kid, I grew up watching the legendary Kim Fields. She is such a bright light with so much talent. I love how grounded Kim is and how close she is to her mom, Chip Fields. She's been among the selected who have been a role model growing up, especially as a POC. Kim has a great work ethic and is a class act with a beautiful spirit. I loved her as Tootie(Dorothy)Ramsey on The Facts Of Life and as Regine Hunter on Living Single which I love watching still to this day. I was stunned learning that Kim joined The Housewives Of Atlanta. A person of her caliber didn't need to go on that program. After all of these years, Kim continues to inspire and set the bar. I have cable but don't have Netflix & I am dying to see The Upshaws. This was a delightful and uplifting interview. I could have listened to Kim Fields for hours.
