That's not the way Me and My Childhood Friends played this game because when the defensive players Base hit the running back Base or the reciever's Base that's A tackle meaning the player is down right their, and We actually used the real kicker when ever We kicked field Goals .

Thank you for the comments. In the electric football community (solitaire and tournaments) there are many different rule sets. Tackling as you described is called “any touch”and is used by many players.
