This is the only EV I’d consider buying. It actually has some styling to it. Not just a rolling orb that’s either black or white.
The Volvo? Acura? Porsche?
Polestar, Taycan, Mach-e, and many others look way better
@@EastonHB27 Disagree on Polestar looks. It's kinda meh for me. Though the 3 certainly is fascinating.
Mach-E is nice looking, but by all accounts the drive is ridiculously stiff and interior feels cheap. I mean, it's a Ford, so it is what it is. Puzzling that Lincoln hasn't come up with a version that would be more compatible with a Lyriq for a fair comparison.
Taycan ... sure ... if you have an extra $50-100K above the Lyriq's list price lying around. Lyriq seems like the happy medium between cheap and extravagant, which I guess is exactly what Cadillac has always been.
@rahimi4762 Acura ZDX looks pretty tight. Ironically it's the same platform as a Lyriq and costs more. Worth checking out.
@@henryprice5716 The Acura ZDX is a joke in comparison. If it costs less than a Lyriq I’d _still_ choose the Cadillac. Honda is nuts and embarrassingly lazy. *gm* handed them a winning platform and the only thing they cared to do was cheapen the instrument clusters & infotainment displays, change sound systems and add an air suspension that wasn’t needed.
ZDX definitely is the cheap feeling one while the Lyriq is more on the extravagant end of the spectrum, the Lyriq is more luxurious and technology advanced than a $160,000 Acura NSX.
I just picked up my Lyriq luxury trim in celestial metallic. This vehicle is awesome and a head turner.

I was loading groceries (fine spirits) in my Mach-e and I heard one of these driving by. They sound interesting and look very sharp! The sound is what really got me.. EV or not it needs to sound unique and this pulls it off.
Tesla has horrible build quality, drove 2023 model y and body panels had mismatched gaps. I would not buy one. Have to drive the Caddy.
Really loving this Cadillac. Just waiting for the NACS connection and for Cadillac to activate the camera recording system.
Same hopefully they will have all of that in model year 2025

@@chill-pill923I live in Georgia and starting to see them more now too. First time I saw one on the road I was in Dallas, TX and almost wrecked my car. They’re absolutely gorgeous in person and have the presence of a baby Escalade despite it only being a two-row. These are bigger than they look in videos/pictures. Huge on-road presence!
Amazing what a 100 yrs of experience in auto design and building can contribute to producing a good car. Lryic definitely has a hum about it.

I absolutely love what GM is doing with their exterior and interior designs in their new vehicles. I am genuinely torn between this and new Lincoln products but i will never buy a vehicle that doesn't have an ICE.
I like that you always give the view of rear quarter interior visibility from the driver’s seat. So many just talk about view out the front, which is always decent (maybe minus the Cyber truck’s front blind spot A pillar).
Cadillac has done what I thought could not be done. They made a station wagon look pretty cool.
The Honda pilot hybrid sounds like an exorcism when in EV mode from the outside lol

I love the LYRIq and it comes in some cool colors. Interior in sky cool gray is wild
It's also not bad in terms of the "ev specific" specs. Good range, decent charging, good route planning, etc.

Just took possession of a Lyriq Sport 3. I also own a Mach E. Despite both being mid sized SUVs they are very different cars. The Cadillac has a much more refined ride and luxurious interior, the Ford is much sportier in it's handling and doesn't feel so heavy. One the whole the Ford has a better UI on the software. The STUPIDEST thing on the Cadillac is the inability to turn off the fake engine noise like you can on the Ford.
Is it possible to get an Escalade in this colour?

I’ll agree that Tesla is not a luxury brand. But they’re way superior in their technology battery management software. Cadillac won’t be caught up with them for another 15 years. On their Cadillac lyric forms they constantly talking about all the software issues and problems that are having.
I just test rode one over the weekend. I love the looks and the interior. The software and the DC fast charging loses me.
the face and lights look a bit too much like the new Chevy crossovers like the Equinox or Blazer.
